CO_(2) electrochemical reduction(CO_(2)ER)is an important research area for carbon ***,available catalysts for CO_(2) reduction are still characterized by limited stability and ***,metallic bismuth(Bi)has emerged as a promising catalyst for CO_(2) ***,we report the solid cathode electroreduction of commercial micronized Bi2O3as a straightforward approach for the preparation of nanostructured ***-1.1 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode in a KHCO3aqueous electrolyte,the resulting nanostructure Bi delivers a formate current density of~40 mA·cm^(-2) with a current efficiency of~86%,and the formate selectivity reaches97.6% at-0.78 *** nanosized Bi2O3as the precursor can further reduce the primary particle sizes of the resulting Bi,leading to a significantly increased formate selectivity at relatively low *** high catalytic activity of nanostructured Bi is attributable to the ultrafine and interconnected Bi nanoparticles in the nanoporous structure,which exposes abundant active sites for CO_(2) electrocatalytic reduction.

Heptafluoroisobutyronitrile(C_(4)F_(7)N)is being considered as a promising alternative to the greenhouse gas SF6 in the electrical ***,its biotoxicity necessitates the development of gas sensing technology to detect leaked C_(4)F_(7)N.A combination of density functional theory and experiments was employed to evaluate the adsorption and sensing performance of different metal-phthalocyanines as potential sensing materials for C_(4)F_(7)N *** study included exploring adsorption configurations with adsorption energies,electron transfer,and adsorption distance,as well as comparisons of electronic properties,electron distribution,and density of states(DOS)among the ***,gas sensing experiments were conducted using different MPcs to detect 25-100 ppm C_(4)F_(7)*** results revealed that Mn-Pc,Fe-Pc,Co-Pc,and Zn-Pc exhibited considerable chemical interactions,while Ni-Pc and Cu-Pc showed weaker adsorption *** findings were further elucidated based on the electron density and DOS of atomic ***,gas sensing experiments indicated that Co-Pc demonstrated a higher response compared to Fe-Pc at the same concentration of C_(4)F_(7)***,the theoretical and experimental insights offer valuable guidance for C_(4)F_(7)N detection and provide a systematic approach to screen and explore organometallic polymer-based gas sensors applicable in various fields.

Chloride (Cl−) ion erosion effects can seriously impact the safety and service life of marine liquefied natural gas(LNG) storage tanks and other polar offshore structures. This study investigates the impact of different low-temperaturecycles (20°C, –80°C, and −160°C) and concrete specimen crack widths (0, 0.3, and 0.6 mm) on the Cl−ion diffusion performance through rapid erosion tests conducted on pre-cracked concrete. The results show thatthe minimum temperature and crack width of freeze-thaw cycles enhance the erosive effect of chloride ions. TheCl− ion concentration and growth rate increased with the increasing crack width. Based on the experimental modeland in accordance with Fick’s second law of diffusion, the Cl− ion diffusion equation was modified by introducingcorrection factors in consideration of the freeze-thaw temperature, crack width, and their coupling *** experimental and fitting results obtained from this model can provide excellent reference for practical engineeringapplications.

Osteosarcoma is the most common malignant bone tumor affecting children and ***,the most common treatment is surgery combined with neoadjuvant *** the survival rate of patients with osteosarcoma has improved in recent years,it remains poor when the tumor(s)progress and distant metastases ***,better animal models that more accurately replicate the natural progression of the disease are needed to develop improved prognostic and diagnostic markers,as well as targeted therapies for both primary and metastatic *** present review described animal models currently being used in research investigating osteosarcoma,and their characteristics,advantages,and *** models may help elucidate the pathogenic mechanism(s)of osteosarcoma and provide evidence to support and develop clinical treatment strategies.

Metabolic network construction plays a pivotal role in unraveling the regulatory mechanism of biological activities,although it often proves to be challenging and labor-intensive,particularly with non-model *** this study,we develop a computational approach that employs reaction models based on the structure-guided chemical modification and related compounds to construct a metabolic network in *** construction results in a comprehensive structure-guided network,including 625 identified metabolites and additional 333 putative reactions compared with the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes *** a combination of gene annotation,reaction classification,structure similarity,and correlations from transcriptome and metabolome analysis,a total of 229 potential genes related to these reactions are identified within this *** validate the network,the functionality of a hydroxycinnamoyltransferase(TraesCS3D01G314900)for the synthesis of polyphenols and a rhamnosyltransferase(TraesCS2D01G078700)for the modification of flavonoids are verified through in vitro enzymatic studies and wheat mutant tests,*** research thus supports the utility of structure-guided chemical modification as an effective tool in identifying causal candidate genes for constructing metabolic networks and further in metabolomic genetic studies.

An experimental investigation into the thermal conductivity of CF-SiC two-phase composite asphalt concrete is *** main objective of this study was to verify the possibility of using SiC powder instead of mineral powder as the thermal conductive filler to prepare a new type of asphalt concrete and improve the efficiency of electrothermal snow and ice melting systems *** thermal conductivity of asphalt concrete prepared with different thermally conductive fillers was tested by a transient plane source method,and the related performances were *** the temperature rise rate and surface temperature were studied through field heating ***,the actual ice melting efficiency of the thermally conductive asphalt concrete was evaluated using an effective electrothermal *** shown by the experimental results,the composite made of SiC powder and carbon fiber has a high thermal *** SiC replaces mineral powder,the thermal conductivity of the asphalt mixture increases first and then decreases with the increase of carbon fiber *** the present study,in particular,the thermal conductivity attained a peak when the carbon fiber content was 0.2%of the aggregate mass.

To assess the effectiveness of China’s emissions trading scheme(ETS)in facilitating energy structure optimization,we constructed a fuel-switching model utilizing data from 1067 generating units under the Chinese ETS *** model simulates the fuel-switching price in China’s thermal power sector,taking into account various allowance allocation *** results show the following:1)Thermal power plants will transition from coal to gas if the current ETS auction rate surpasses 26%.2)Furthermore,in scenarios where the ETS operates independently,a transition will occur if the carbon allowance market is entirely auction-based and the carbon price attains 119.50 USD/tCO_(2).3)In a collaborative scenario involving both the ETS and a gas feed-in tariff subsidy,a carbon price of 9.39 USD/tCO_(2)will effect a transition from coal to gas,provided both the auction ratio and subsidy price are maximized.

Perovskite solar cells(PSCs)emerge as the most promising photovoltaics(PV)for their high performance and potential convenient cost-effective production routes comparing to the sophomore PV *** printed PSCs with simplified device architecture and fabrication procedures could further enhance the competitive strength of PSC *** this work,we present an in-situ defect passivation(ISDP)assisted full-printing of high performance formamidine-lead bromide(FAPbBr_(3))*** three rapid printing steps are involved for electron transporting layer(ETL),perovskite and carbon to form a complete solar cell on the low-cost fluorine-doped tin oxide(FTO)***-chain polymer monomethyl ether polyethylene glycol is particularly utilized as the ISDP passivator,leading to conformal coating on the rough FTO and defect passivation for both ETL and perovskite during printing.A high efficiency of 10.85%(certified 10.14%)and a high V_(oc)up to 1.57 V are achieved for the printed *** unencapsulated PSCs maintain above 90%of the initial efficiency after continuously heating at 85℃for 1000 h and over 80%of the efficiency after the maximum power point tracking for 3500 *** fully printed semitransparent PSCs with carbon grids(CGs)show average visible light transmittance over 33%and an efficiency of 8.81%.

Chemical looping combustion(CLC)has emerged as a cost-effective technology for carbon capture at the combustion *** reactor,being central to the implementation of CLC,primarily adheres to two technological pathways:the dual fluidized bed reactor and the packed bed ***,the intricate interaction between gas-solid reaction flow and heat/mass transfer processes in these reactors gives rise to diverse operational principles at both macroscopic and microscopic levels across various reactor forms and scales,making performance prediction ***,the rational design of CLC reactors poses a significant challenge in advancing this technology to commercial *** article offers an extensive review of the prevailing reactor designs in CLC,delving into reactor characteristics,pivotal aspects of the design process,methodologies,and representative studies in the *** predominant reactor design approaches are categorized into engineering and numerical *** former encompasses phenomenological and similarity analysis methods,whereas the latter consists of macroscopic and computational fluid dynamics simulation *** method possesses its theoretical framework,distinctive characteristics,appropriate applications,and respective advantages and *** practical applications,integrating these aspects is *** instance,the engineering design,which is less costly but also less precise,is effective for quickly screening numerous potential design *** contrast,the numerical design,despite its higher computational demand and greater model complexity,offers improved predictive accuracy and is optimal for validating and refining engineering design solutions.
