A trigger system is typically employed in active seismic testing to trigger and synchronize multichannel surface wave data *** effect of the trigger system on the dispersion image of surface waves is empirically known to be negligible,however,theoretical explanation regarding the effect of the trigger system is *** study systematically examines the theory for surface wave dispersion analysis and proves that the effect of the trigger system on a dispersion image is negligible via a solid theoretical ***,based on the new theoretical explanation,an alternative method that uses only the relative phase difference between sensors to extract dispersion characteristics with better conceptual clarity is *** active surface wave testing cases are considered to validate the theory and *** results indicate that(1)an accurate trigger system is not necessary for surface wave data acquisition,and(2)it is unnecessary to assume that the impact point is the generation point of the surface waves for the experimental dispersion analysis.

Tuning the solubility of polysulfides for constructing practical lithium-sulfur battery

Li-S batteries are regarded as one of the most promising candidates for next-generation battery systems with high energy density and low ***,the dissolution-precipitation reaction mechanism of the sulfur(S)cathode enhances the kinetics of the redox processes of the insulating sulfu r,which also arouses the notorious shuttle effect,leading to serious loss of S species and corrosion of Li *** get a balance between the shuttle restraining and the kinetic property,a combined strategy of electrolyte regulation and cathode modification is proposed via introducing 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl-2,2,3,3-tetrafluoroprpyl ether(HFE)instead of 1,2-dimethoxyethane(DME),and SeS_(7)instead of S_*** introduction of HFE tunes the solvation structure of the LiTFSI and the dissolution of intermediate polysulfides with Se doping(LiPSSes),and optimize the interface stability of the Li anode *** minor Se substitution compensates the decrease in kinetic due to the decreased solubility of *** this way,the Li-SeS_(7)batteries deliver a reversible capacity of 1062 and 1037 mAh g^(-1)with 2.0 and 5.5 mg SeS_(7)cm^(-2)loading condition,***,an electrolyte-electrode loading model is established to explain the relationship between the optimal electrolyte and cathode *** makes more sense to guide the electrolyte design for practical Li-S batteries.

Engineered interface of three-dimensional coralliform NiS/FeS_(2)heterostructures for robust electrocatalytic water cleavage

Heterojunction structures improve the intrinsic activity of electrocatalysts by enhancing the charge transfer between the catalyst and the *** this paper,the NiS/FeS_(2)heterostructured electrocatalyst is fabricated by a simple sulfidation method using an interface engineering strategy to adjust the surface electron density of the *** expected,NiS/FeS_(2)electrocatalyst exhibits superior activity and durable oxygen evolution reaction(OER)stability,requiring only a low overpotential of 183 mV to achieve a current density of 10 mA·cm^(−2)and can be stable for more than 80 h,superior to NiS,FeS_(2)electrocatalyst individually,and precious RuO_(2).Notably,NiS/FeS_(2)is also a good bifunctional electrocatalyst with good overall water splitting performance,and it only requires a voltage 1.56 V to obtain a current density of 10 mA·cm^(−2)for more than 12 ***,the NiS/FeS_(2)hybridization facilitates the formation of coral-like structures,increasing the electrochemical surface area(ECSA)and enhancing the charge transfer efficiency,thus leading to excellent electrocatalytic *** work proposes a constructive strategy for designing efficient electrocatalysts based on interface engineering,and lays a foundation for designing a new class of electrocatalysts.

Coarse-fine joint target parameter estimation method based on AN-RSC in OFDM passive radar

In this paper,we study the accuracy of delay-Doppler parameter estimation of targets in a passive radar using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM)signal.A coarse-fine joint estimation method is proposed to achieve better estimation accuracy of target parameters without excessive computational ***,the modulation symbol domain(MSD)method is used to roughly estimate the delay and Doppler of ***,to obtain high-precision Doppler estimation,the atomic norm(AN)based on the multiple measurement vectors(MMV)model(MMV-AN)is used to manifest the signal sparsity in the continuous Doppler *** the same time,a reference signal compensation(RSC)method is presented to obtain highprecision delay *** results based on the OFDM signal show that the coarse-fine joint estimation method based on AN-RSC can obtain a more accurate estimation of target parameters compared with other *** addition,the proposed method also possesses computational advantages compared with the joint parameter estimation.

SO_(2)and SOF_(2)simultaneous detection by single mid-infrared laser based on tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy

In the detection of multi-component gas based on tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy(TDLAS),the problem of overlapping interference between the absorption lines of each gas is often *** example,when detecting a gas mixture of sulphur dioxide(SO_(2))and thionyl fluoride(SOF_(2)),the characteristic decomposition components of SF6,there is overlapping interference in the absorption lines of the two gases,which makes it difficult to detect the concentration of gases *** view of this problem,a novel method based on support vector regression model used for TDLAS is proposed to detect two gases *** detection results show that the correlation coefficients between the concentration of SO_(2)and SOF_(2)and the average value of the second harmonic peak reached 0.992 and *** addition,through model testing,different concentrations of SO_(2)and SOF_(2)gas mixture are simultaneously detected,and the resulting maximum errors for measuring SO_(2)and SOF_(2)concentrations are less than 7.13×10^(-5)and 0.26×10^(-2).The maximum errors of the measurement results in the verification test are not more than 6.4×10^(-3)and 4.6×10^(-2).Therefore,with assistance of the novel method,the detection of multiple gases by using a single laser is achieved.

Effect of nano-graphite on mechanical properties and oxidation resistance of ZrB_(2)-SiC-graphite electrode ceramics

ZrB_(2)-based ceramic composites were prepared by spark plasma sintering using ZrB_(2) powder prepared by molten salt method as raw material and SiC and nano-graphite as *** effects of nano-graphite addition on the physical properties and oxidation resistance of ZrB_(2)-based ceramic samples were *** results show that the addition of an appropriate amount of nano-graphite can effectively improve the density of ZrB_(2)-based ceramic composites and improve the physical properties of the *** flexural strength of the ceramic sample with 8 vol.%nano-graphite reached 418.54 MPa,which was 53.14% higher than that of ZrB_(2)-SiC ceramic material(273.31 MPa),and its oxidation resistance was also significantly *** demonstrats that the addition of an appropriate amount of nano-graphite can effectively improve the physical properties and oxidation resistance of ZrB_(2)-SiC ceramic *** prolonging its service life in application and promoting the development of ZrB_(2)-based ceramic composites,it is of great significance for clean steel smelting.

g-C_(3)N_(4)emerges as a promising metal-free semiconductor photocatalyst due to its cost-effectiveness,facile synthesis,suitable visible light response,and robust thermal ***,its practical application in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is impeded by rapid carrier recombination and limited light absorption *** this study,we successfully develop a novel g-C_(3)N_(4)-based step-scheme(S-scheme)heterojunction comprising two-dimensional(2D)sulfur-doped g-C_(3)N_(4)nanosheets(SCN)and one-dimensional(1D)FeCo_(2)O_(4)nanorods(FeCo_(2)O_(4)),demonstrating enhanced photocatalytic HER *** engineered SCN/FeCo_(2)O_(4)S-scheme heterojunction features a well-defined 2D/1D heterogeneous interface facilitating directed interfacial electron transfer from FeCo_(2)O_(4)to SCN,driven by the lower Fermi level of SCN compared to FeCo_(2)O_(4).This establishment of electron-interacting 2D/1D S-scheme heterojunction not only facilitates the separation and migration of photogenerated carriers,but also enhances visible-light absorption and mitigates electron-hole pair *** structure analysis and density functional theory calculations corroborate that the carrier migration in the SCN/FeCo_(2)O_(4)photocatalyst adheres to a typical S-scheme heterojunction mechanism,effectively retaining highly reactive photogenerated ***,the optimized SCN/FeCo_(2)O_(4)heterojunction exhibits a substantially high hydrogen production rate of 6303.5μmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1)under visible light excitation,which is 2.4 times higher than that of the ***,the conjecture of the S-scheme mechanism is confirmed by in situ XPS *** 2D/1D S-scheme heterojunction established in this study provides valuable insights into the development of high-efficiency carbon-based catalysts for diverse energy conversion and storage applications.

Impact of atmospheric circulations on droughts and drought propagation over China

The GRACE satellite mission provides a new approach for monitoring,tracking,and assessing drought conditions by detecting changes in Earth's gravitational fields and inversing signals of terrestrial water storage *** studies of terrestrial water storage anomalies related droughts paid rare attention to the behind atmospheric physical mechanisms,nor quantified the risk propagation patterns between terrestrial water storage deficits and hydrological or agricultural *** this study,we first extract terrestrial water storage(TWS) droughts,hydrological droughts,and agricultural droughts by using multiple variables including TWS from the GRACE/GRACE-FO satellites,runoff and soil moisture from the ERA5-Land reanalysis *** then identify key atmospheric and oceanic oscillation indices affecting water deficits by employing machine learning *** characterize the joint distributions between drought duration and severity by using the Copula function and quantify the risk propagation of hydrological and agricultural droughts to TWS *** results show that:(1) From 2002 to 2021,there is a significant decrasing trend of TWS in China;the WPIO group atmospheric circulation indices(sea surface temperature index within the Western Pacific and Indian Ocean) contributes the most to ***,the sea surface temperature anomalies within the NINO 3.4 region as well as the Western Pacific Warm Pool area index show significantly positive correlation relationships with TWS in southern China;(2) The northwestern China,the Yangtze River basin,and the downstream of the Pearl River basin are the hotspots of TWS ***,the hotspots of hydrological droughts locate in northwestern China and the hotspots of agricultural droughts locate in South China and eastern Tibetan Plateau;(3) The elastic coefficients of hydrological droughts propagating to TWS droughts are higher than those of agricultural droughts,indicating that the TWS droughts

Radical involved reactive wetting and retarding mechanism of alumina refractory ceramic by molten slags under weak static magnetic field

High alumina slag will cause severe corrosion at the interface of alumina refractory,and the wetting behavior of slag is a key factor influencing the corrosion resistance of refractory *** static magnetic field is a promising solution for improvement in the slag resistance of *** wetting of alumina refractory ceramics with different basicities of high alumina slags under a weak static magnetic field was analyzed,given that a weak static magnetic field can affect the corrosion behavior of refractory *** slag S_(3) as an example,when there was an external static magnetic field of 1.0 mT at 1600 ℃,the thickness of calcium aluminate reaction layer at the interface decreased by 36.7%,the denting depth of interface decreased by 35.6%,and the apparent wetting angle increased by 20%.The living radicals and their formation path in oxide melts were verified by first-principles calculation combined with electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy *** influence of the flux density of a weak static magnetic field on the wetting behavior of slags was also *** contact angle of the slags increased owing to the inhibitory effect of magnetic field on the radicalinvolved reaction at the interface of the slag and the alumina refractory *** relationships between the magnetic flux density,diffusion coefficient,slag microstructure(hyperfine coupling constant),and contact angle were *** provides a theoretical basis for the field control of radical involved reactive wetting between inorganic oxide slags and solid oxide ceramics.
