Hydrogen acquisition from solar energy is an effective way to address energy crisis,which makes the development of efficient photocatalysts become the main direction of scientific ***,cobalt phthalocyanine/oxygen-doped g-C_(3)N_(4)(CoPc/OCN) S-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst was designed by coupling multi-step calcination with solvothermal method for enhanced photothermal-assisted photocatalytic H_(2) *** multistep calcined g-C_(3)N_(4) is easier for O-doping formation,and the ethanol solvothermal strategy is utilized to enhance the dispersion of CoPc on OCN nano sheet surface and forms sufficient S-scheme heterojunction through *** addition,the active sites and excellent photothermal properties of CoPc itself further improve the integrated photocatalytic activity of CoPc/OCN S-scheme *** optimal photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate of CoPc/OCN S-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst reached 9.56 mmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1),which is 2.69 and 1.23 times higher than that of CN and OCN,*** work provides a valuable design idea and scheme for enhancing the multi-factor co-assisted photocatalytic H_(2) evolution performance.

Three modes of a direct-current plasma jet operated underwater to degrade methylene blue

A direct-current air plasma jet operated underwater presents three stable modes including an intermittently-pulsed discharge, a periodically-pulsed discharge and a continuous discharge with increasing the power voltage. The three discharge modes have different appearances for the plasma plumes. Moreover, gap voltage-current characteristics indicate that the continuous discharge is in a normal glow regime. Spectral lines from reactive species（OH, N2, N2^＋, Hα,and O） have been revealed in the emission spectrum of the plasma jet operated *** intensities emitted from OH radical and oxygen atom increase with increasing the power voltage or the gas flow rate, indicating that reactive species are abundant. These reactive species cause the degradation of the methylene blue dye in solution. Effects of the experimental parameters such as the power voltage, the gas flow rate and the treatment time are investigated on the degradation efficiency. Results indicate that the degradation efficiency increases with increasing the power voltage, the gas flow rate or the treatment time. Compared with degradation in the intermittently-pulsed mode or the periodically-pulsed one, it is more efficient in the continuous mode, reaching 98% after 21 min treatment.

Comparison of discharge characteristics and methylene blue degradation through a direct-current excited plasma jet with air and oxygen used as working gases

Through using a direct-current driven plasma jet operated underwater,degradation of methylene blue(MB)is investigated with air and oxygen used as working *** a low power voltage,a plasma plume extends from the needle electrode,which is purple in *** turns pink after it bridges the two *** the process,oxygen plasma remains *** operates in a pulsed mode or a continuous one,which depends on the magnitude of power *** the pulsed mode,oxygen discharge has a shorter plume and a higher pulse frequency than air discharge under the same power *** the same current of the continuous mode,both power and gap voltages of oxygen discharge are higher than those of air ***,MB degradation efficiency increases with increasing power voltage or initial concentration of MB *** with air discharge,oxygen discharge has a higher degradation efficiency with the same power voltage and treatment *** pulsed oxygen discharge with power voltage of about 6.5 k V has the highest efficiency in degrading MB dye,reaching approximately 85.8%after 10 min *** a comparison,after 10 min treatment in air discharge,the highest degradation efficiency is 63.7%,which appears in the continuous mode at a power voltage of 10.6 ***,optical spectra from the discharges are also compared for the two types of working gases.

The pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection has resulted in an unprecedented setback for global economy and ***-CoV-2 has an exceptionally high level of transmissibility and extremely broad tissue ***,the underlying molecular mechanism responsible for sustaining this degree of virulence remains largely *** this article,we review the current knowledge and crucial information about how SARS-CoV-2 attaches on the surface of host cells through a variety of receptors,such as ACE2,neuropilin-1,AXL,and antibody-FcyR *** further explain how its spike(S)protein undergoes conformational transition from prefusion to postfusion with the help of proteases like furin,TMPRSS2,and *** then review the ongoing experimental studies and clinical trials of antibodies,peptides,or small-molecule compounds with anti-SARS-CoV-2 activity,and discuss how these antiviral therapies targeting host-pathogen interaction could potentially suppress viral attachment,reduce the exposure of fusion peptide to curtail membrane fusion and block the formation of six-helix bundle(6-HB)fusion ***,the specter of rapidly emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants deserves a serious review of broad-spectrum drugs or vaccines for long-term prevention and control of COVID-19 in the future.

Diverse defects in copper indium gallium diselenide solar cells cause nonradiative recombination losses and impair device ***,an organic passivation scheme for surface and grain boundary defects is reported,which employs an organic passivation agent to infiltrate the copper indium gallium diselenide thin films.A transparent conductive passivating(TCP)film is then developed by incorporating metal nanowires into the organic polymer and used in solar *** TCP films have a transmittance of more than 90%in the visible and nearinfrared spectra and a sheet resistance of~10.5Ω/*** leads to improvements in the open-circuit voltage and the efficiency of the organic passivated solar cells compared with control cells and paves the way for novel approaches to copper indium gallium diselenide defect passivation and possibly other compound solar cells.

A Study of Elemental Abundance Pattern of the r-II Star HD 222925

HD 222925 is a rare r-process enhanced star in the Milky Way because of its metal abundance([Fe/H]=-1.46±0.10)and Eu abundance([Eu/Fe]=1.32±0.08).Based on the very complete set of elemental abundances of HD 222925,we use the abundance decomposition method to fit the observed abundances of 58elements in the sample star,which is also the largest number of elemental abundances fitted at the same time for a fixed *** analyze the astrophysical origins of elements in HD 222925 by its abundance ratios and component *** is found that the light elements and the iron group elements in HD 222925 mainly originate from the primary process of the TypeⅡsupernovae(SNeⅡ)with the progenitor mass M>10 M_(⊙)and have no contribution from SNe Ia and the first generation of very massive *** contribution of the weak r-process to Ga,Ge,and As is superior to that of the other processes,and its contribution decreases linearly with increasing atomic *** main r-process that is likely derived from a neutron star merger plays a key role in the formation of neutroncapture elements(Z≥38)in HD 222925.
