Discovery of the choristodere Hyphalosaurus baitaigouensis from the Lower Cretaceous Jiufotang Formation of western Liaoning,China and its paleobiogeographic significance

The water-living reptile genus Hyphalosaurus was previously discovered in the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation bearing the middle Jehol Biota in western Liaoning,*** complete skeletons of Hyphalosaurus are reported for the first time from the Jiufotang Formation bearing the late Jehol Biota at two sites in western *** show the typical characteristics of Hyphalosaurus baitaigouensis in terms of the contact between some cranial bones and the number of cervical and dorsal vertebrae,and therefore are assigned to *** discovery extends the stratigraphic range of this species from the Yixian Formation to the overlying Jiufotang *** paper further briefly compares the main characteristics of the two skeletons,summarizes the temporal and spatial distribution of Hyphalosaurus,and discusses the palaeogeographic evolution of western Liaoning at the middle and late Jehol Biota stages based on the aquatic habits of Hyphalosaurus and the geological background of western *** analytical results show that the volcanic downwarped lakes,with distinct geographical divisions in western Liaoning during the deposition of the Yixian Formation,had not completely disappeared till the deposition of the Jiufotang *** palaeo-lake in the Fuxin-Yixian Basin underwent the process of generation,expansion and shrinkage during the depositional period of the Yixian Formation and finally merged into a large *** palaeo-Dalinghe River,which connected the main basins in western Liaoning during the depositional period of the Jiufotang Formation,was formed simultaneously.

A biological potassium channel is> 1000 times more permeable to K+than to Na+and exhibits a giant permeation rate of ～108ions/*** is a great challenge to construct artificial potassium channels with such high sele ctivity and ion conduction ***,we unveil a long-overlo oked structural feature that underpins the ultra-high K+/Na+*** carrying out massive molecular dynamics simulation for ion transport through carbonyl-oxygen-modified bi-layer graphene nanopores,we find that the twisted carbonyl rings enable strict potassium selectivity with a dynamic K+/Na+selectivity ratio of 1295 and a K+conduction rate of 3.5 × 107ions/s,approaching those of the biological ***,atomic trajectories of K+permeation events suggest a dual-ion transport mode,*** like-charged potassium ions are successively captured by the nanopores in the graphene bi-layer and are interconnected by sharing one or two interlayer water *** dual-ion behavior allows rapid release of the exiting potassium ion via a soft knock-on mechanism,which has previously been found only in biological ion *** a proof-of-concept utilization of this discovery,we propose a novel way for ionic power generation by mixing KCl and NaCl solutions through the bi-layer graphene nanopores,termed potassium-permselectivity enabled osmotic power generation(PoPee-OP G).Theoretically,the biomimetic device achieves a very high power density of> 1000 W/m2with graphene sheets of study provides a blueprint for artificial potassium channels and thus paves the way toward next-generation electric-eel-mimetic ionic power generation.

Eleven organophosphate esters(OPEs)in the air and seawater were investigated from the northwestern Pacific Ocean to the southern Ocean during the 2018 Chinese 34th Antarctic scientific *** concentration of total OPEs ranged from 164.82 to 3501.79 pg/m~3in air and from 4.54 to 70.09 ng/L in *** halogenated OPEs,tri(chloropropyl)phosphate(TCPP)and tri(2-chloroethyl)phosphate(TCEP),were generally more abundant than the non-halogenated OPEs.A levelⅢfugacity model was developed to simulate the transfer and fate of seven OPEs in the air and seawater regions of the central Ross *** model results indicate that OPEs are transferred from the air to the seawater in the central Ross sea in summer,during which the Ross sea acts as a final OPE *** and wet deposition dominated the processes involving OPE transfer to *** OPE degradation process was also found to be more pervasive in the atmosphere than in the seawater *** findings highlights the importance of long-range transport of OPEs and their air–seawater interface behavior in the Antarctic.

Respiratory infections in children increase the risk of fatal lung disease,making effective identification and analysis of breath sounds ***,most studies have focused on adults ignoring pediatric patients whose lungs are more vulnerable due to an imperfect immune system,and the scarcity of medical data has limited the development of deep learning methods toward reliability and high classification *** this work,we collected three types of breath sounds from children with normal(120 recordings),bronchitis(120 recordings),and pneumonia(120 recordings)at the posterior chest position using an off-the-shelf 3M electronic *** features were extracted from the wavelet denoised signal:spectrogram,mel-frequency cepstral coefficients(MFCCs),and Delta *** recog-nition model is based on transfer learning techniques and combines fine-tuned MobileNetV2 and modified ResNet50 to classify breath sounds,along with software for displaying analysis *** experiments on a real dataset demonstrate the effectiveness and superior performance of the proposed model,with average accuracy,precision,recall,specificity and F1 scores of 97.96%,97.83%,97.89%,98.89%and 0.98,respectively,achieving superior performance with a small *** proposed detection system,with a high-performance model and software,can help parents perform lung screening at home and also has the potential for a vast screening of children for lung disease.

Optimization of Organic Mulches Thickness Improves soil Moisture Retention under Controlled Conditions

Organic mulch can improve the moisture,chemical composition,dust,and dust suppression of soil,and beautify the *** view of the rapid evaporation rate and serious loss of soil water in tropical areas,this paper explored the effect of organic mulch materials with different thickness on the increase of soil water retention rate and the improvement of soil water loss caused by *** sawdust(RWs),rubberwood bark(RWB),coconut fiber(CF),and Mulch(MC)were selected as the mulching *** experiment and laboratory experiment were performed,and soil-moisture content and temperature were continuously ***,from the daily measurement of water content at constant conditions(29℃±0.2℃,74%±1%air RH)in the laboratory experiment,the results of variance analysis(ANOVA)showed that there was no significant difference between the soil-water content of covered samples and bare soil(P>0.05).In the field experiments,the analysis of variance indicated significant differences in the soil-moisture content owing to the effect of the covering material(Psed the soil-moisture content with smaller fluctuations in the deep soil compared with bare *** most stable soil-moisture content were achieved by RWs,RWB,CF,and MC,with thicknesses of 5,3,7,and 5 cm,respectively,compared with bare soil,and the average water contents of the 0-40 cm soil layer was 0.58%,0.01%,0.82%,and 0.93%,***,the intensity of the change in soil moisture decreased gradually with increasing depth,and was more stable than that of bare soil and other *** them,the difference in water content between the adjacent gradient soil layers(the soil layers are graded every 10 cm in depth)M_(3-7)(0.011±0.004)was the *** can be concluded that CF mulching materials with a thickness of 7 cm would be preferable when selecting mulching materials for controlling soil moisture in tropical cities.

Perpendicularly oriented barium ferrite thin films with low microwave loss,prepared by pulsed laser deposition

Barium ferrite（Ba M） thin films are deposited on platinum coated silicon wafers by pulsed laser deposition（PLD）.The effects of deposition substrate temperature on the microstructure,magnetic and microwave properties of Ba M thin films are investigated in *** is found that microstructure,magnetic and microwave properties of Ba M thin film are very sensitive to deposition substrate temperature,and excellent Ba M thin film is obtained when deposition temperature is 910℃ and oxygen pressure is 300 m Torr（1 Torr = 1.3332×102Pa）.X-ray diffraction patterns and atomic force microscopy images show that the best thin film has perpendicular orientation and hexagonal morphology,and the crystallographic alignment degree can be calculated to be *** loops reveal that the squareness ratio（Mr/Ms） is as high as 0.93,the saturated magnetization is 4004 Gs（1 Gs = 104T）,and the anisotropy field is 16.5 kOe（1 Oe = 79.5775 A·m-1）.Ferromagnetic resonance measurements reveal that the gyromagnetic ratio is 2.8 GHz/kOe,and the ferromagnetic resonance linewith is108 Oe at 50 GHz,which means that this thin film has low microwave *** properties make the Ba M thin films have potential applications in microwave devices.

Objectives:The bacteriostatic effects of a citral nanoemulsion against shewanella putrefaciens CN-32(sHP CN-32)were investigated using in vitro culture and gene expression analysis,forbuilding a potential application in spoilage microorganism control and aquatic products quality *** and Methods:sHP CN-32 was treated by prepared citral nanoemulsion when the minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC)was *** growth curve,membrane integrity,scanning electron microscope(sEM)observation,biofilm formation and quorum sensing(Qs)signaling molecule Al-2 content were evaluated in different MIC treatment groups(0 to 1.00 MIC).The gene expression status of sHP CN-32 in O and 0.50 MIC groups were compared using transcriptome sequencing and quantitative polymerase chain reaction(PCR).Results:The in vitro culture revealed that the citral nanoemulsion could inhibit the growth of sHP CN-32 with MIC of approximately 200μg/*** of membrane *** and biofilm formation suggested significant biological structure damage in bacteria after ***,the Qs signaling molecule Al-2 content showed a decline with increasing treatment *** sequencing and quantitative PCR revealed that the majority genes related diversified functional metabolic pathways of sHP CN-32 were downregulated at varying ***:A significant bacteriostasis of citral nanoemulsion against sHP CN-32 was verified via the results of growth inhibition,structural destruction,signal molecular decrease and gene expression downregulation of *** synergies significantly affect the characteristic expression of sHP CN-32,revealing the application potential as bacteriostat,Qs inhibitor and preservative in aquatic products.

Waste to treasure:Reutilization of fluid catalytic cracking coke block as photothermal conversion material for water evaporation

This study aims to analyze the coking process and propose an effective method for the reutilization of fluid catalytic cracking(FCC)coke ***,we analyzed the basic characteristics and chemical composition of FCC coke *** results showed that the main components were carbon,oxygen,and aluminum,accounting for 60.8%,26.6%,and 11.5%,*** the conventional catalytic cracking reaction temperature from 500℃ to 600℃,the formation of the first aromatic hydrocarbon was particularly important for the formation of *** condensation of oil-gas-entrained catalyst particles and their heavy components was the physical cause of coking,while the dehydrogenation condensation reaction of oil-gas heavy components was the chemical *** addition,the membrane prepared by powdered coke had excellent photothermal conversion ability,which could be heated to more than 110℃ within 360 s under two fixed light *** evaporation rate of photothermal water was 5.89 kg m^(2) h^(−1),which has great industrial application *** works provide a novel and effective method of separation membrane for the reutilization of FCC coke blocks.

A Novel Robust Watermarking Algorithm for Encrypted Medical Image Based on DTCWT-DCT and Chaotic Map

In order to solve the problem of patient information security protection in medical images,whilst also taking into consideration the unchangeable particularity of medical images to the lesion area and the need for medical images themselves to be protected,a novel robust watermarking algorithm for encrypted medical images based on dual-tree complex wavelet transform and discrete cosine transform(DTCWT-DCT)and chaotic map is proposed in this ***,DTCWT-DCT transformation was performed on medical images,and dot product was per-formed in relation to the transformation matrix and logistic *** transformation was undertaken to obtain encrypted medical ***,in the low-frequency part of the DTCWT-DCT transformation coefficient of the encrypted medical image,a set of 32 bits visual feature vectors that can effectively resist geometric attacks are found to be the feature vector of the encrypted medical image by using perceptual *** that,different logistic initial values and growth parameters were set to encrypt the watermark,and zero-watermark technology was used to embed and extract the encrypted medical images by combining cryptography and third-party *** proposed watermarking algorithm does not change the region of interest of medical images thus it does not affect the judgment of ***,the security of the algorithm is enhanced by using chaotic mapping,which is sensitive to the initial value in order to encrypt the medical image and the *** simulation results show that the pro-posed algorithm has good homomorphism,which can not only protect the original medical image and the watermark information,but can also embed and extract the watermark directly in the encrypted image,eliminating the potential risk of decrypting the embedded watermark and extracting *** with the recent related research,the proposed algorithm solves the contradiction between robustness and invisibility of the watermarking al
