A novel tunnel waterproof-drainage system based on double-bonded waterproofing materials and its seepage characteristics

Double-bonded spray membrane waterproofing materials have excellent waterproofing performance and can improve the load-bearing capacity of tunnel linings,leading to an increasing global ***,due to the double-bonded capability of spray membrane materials,traditional interlayer drainage methods cannot be *** limitation makes it difficult to use them in drainage-type tunnels,significantly restricting their range of *** this regard,a novel tunnel waterproof-drainage system based on double-bonded spray membrane materials was proposed in this *** proposed drainage system primarily comprises upper drainage sheets and bottom drainage blind pipes,both located in the tunnel circumferential direction,as well as longitudinal drainage pipes within the ***,numerical calculation methods are employed to analyze the seepage characteristics of this system,revealing the water pressure distribution around the *** results indicate that in the novel waterproof-drainage system,the water pressure in the secondary lining exhibits a“mushroom-shaped”distribution in the circumferential direction,while the water pressure in the longitudinal direction exhibits a“wave-like”***,comparative results with other waterproof-drainage systems indicate that under typical working conditions with a water head of 160 m and a rock permeability coefficient of 10^(−6)m/s,the maximum water pressure in the secondary lining of the novel waterproof-drainage system is 0.6 *** represents a significant reduction compared to fully encapsulated waterproofing and traditional drainage systems,which respectively reduce the water pressure by 65%and 30%.The applicability analysis of the double-bonded waterproofing and drainage system reveals that it can reduce at least 40%of the static water pressure in any groundwater *** novel drainage system provides a valuable reference for the application of double-bonded spray membr

Particle Distribution Informed by Chain Rigidity in Diblock Copolymer Melts: The Effect of Entropy

We study the effect of chain rigidity on tailoring the nanoparticle locations for neutral and selective particles embedded in the lamellar morphology formed by semiflexible diblock copolymer chains using self-consistent field calculations. The nanoparticles are modeled through a cavity function, and the semiflexible chains are represented by the continuous Kratsky-Porod chain model. In general situation, the nanoparticles prefer to stay at the interface in order to reduce the interface areas and thus the system free energy. However, the particle distribution at the domain center is subtle, and the underlying physics is intrinsically different depending on the polymer flexibility. In the case of flexible chains, the entropy just contributes a constant shift to the free energy when the nanoparticles move around the domain center indicating that the local metastable state if appears at the domain center is wholly attributed to the local minimum in the enthalpy. If the polymers are rigid, the variation of the particle distribution at the domain center has a close relation with the polymer rigidity and nanoparticle size. In the case of strongly rigid polymers with small nanoparticles, a nearly uniform particle distribution at the domain center is observed, while in other cases, a local enhancement of particle distribution there is found. In contrast to the case of flexible chains, further analysis reveals the crucial role of entropy in controlling the shape of particle distributions at the phase domain. Specifically, the local metastable state appears in the domain center is determined by the large entropy there which arises from the weak coupling of bond orientations that allows the polymer chains to be relatively relaxed. When the particle becomes selective, its distribution in the phase domain exhibits a shift almost uniformly rather than changes its profile, and the underlying physics still holds. Two-stage Planning Method for Energy Router Considering Its Optimal Operation in Distribution Networks

An energy router can effectively optimize the network loss and power quality of distribution networks. The optimal configuration of the energy router is relatively complex because issues dynamically influence each other, such as the location of the energy router, optimal number and capacity of its ports, and building new distribution lines for the ports. Presently, there has been very few research studies on the practical problems for the energy router. In this paper, a planning model of an energy router combined with the distribution network is established, which fully exploits the active and reactive power control abilities of the energy router to optimize the operation of the grid. The configuration problem is decoupled into two stages. The upper layer determines the location of the energy router and the parameters of the candidate new distribution lines for the ports. The lower layer calculates the optimal configuration of the energy router by minimizing the total annual cost. Because of the same rated bus voltage in the distribution network, the existing structure of the energy router is changed to be more applicable for the distribution network, and then the power flow model of the energy router is also modified. Due to the nonlinearity of the model, the planning model is converted into a mixed-integer second-order cone model to solve efficiently. In addition, some core factors influencing the optimal scheme of the energy router are also analyzed in this paper. Simulation results show that the optimal scheme of the energy router can significantly improve the economic deployment of the energy router, and optimize the network loss and power quality of the distribution network.

Due to their simple hardware,sensor nodes in IoT are vulnerable to attack,leading to data routing blockages or malicious tampering,which significantly disrupts secure data *** Intelligent Active Probing and Trace-back Scheme for IoT Anomaly Detection(APTAD)is proposed to collect integrated IoT data by recruiting Mobile Edge Users(MEUs).(a)An intelligent unsupervised learning approach is used to identify anomalous data from the collected data by MEUs and help to identify anomalous nodes.(b)Recruit MEUs to trace back and propose a series of trust calculation methods to determine the trust of nodes.(c)The last,the number of active detection packets and detection paths are designed,so as to accurately identify the trust of nodes in IoT at the minimum cost of the network.A large number of experimental results show that the recruiting cost and average anomaly detection time are reduced by 6.5 times and 34.33%respectively,while the accuracy of trust identification is improved by 20%.

First Passage Density of Brownian Motion with Two-sided Piecewise Linear Boundaries

The first passage time has many applications in fields like finance,econometrics,statistics,and ***,explicit formulas for the first passage density have only been obtained for a few *** paper derives an explicit formula for the first passage density of Brownian motion with twosided piecewise continuous boundaries which may have some points of *** are used to obtain a simplified formula for estimating the first passage ***,the results are also generalized to the case of two-sided general nonlinear *** can be easily carried out with Monte Carlo method and it is demonstrated for several typical two-sided boundaries that the proposed approximation method offers a highly accurate approximation of first passage density.

Bayesian ensemble methods for predicting ground deformation due to tunnelling with sparse monitoring data

Numerous analytical models have been developed to predict ground deformations induced by tunneling,which is a critical issue in tunnel ***,the accuracy of these predictions is often limited by errors and uncertainties resulting from model selection and parameter fittings,given the paucity of monitoring data in field *** paper proposes a novel approach to estimate tunnelling-induced ground deformations by applying Bayesian model averaging to several representative prediction *** accounting for both model and parameter uncertainties,this approach enables more realistic predictions of ground deformations than individual ***,our results indicate that the Gonzalez-Sagaseta model outperforms other models in predicting ground surface settlements,while the Loganathan-Poulos model is most suitable for predicting subsurface vertical and horizontal ***,our analysis reveals that when monitoring data are sparse,model uncertainties may contribute up to 78.7%of the total ***,obtaining sufficient data for parameter fitting is crucial for accurate *** proposed method in this study offers a more realistic and efficient prediction of tunnelling-induced ground deformations.
