A comparative study on different regeneration processes of Pt-Sn/γ-Al2O3 catalysts for propane dehydrogenation

Three different regeneration processes including hydrogen or nitrogen purging and coke-burning treatment were used to restore the Pt-Sn/γ-AlOcatalysts, through which propane dehydrogenation reaction was performed in a consecutive reaction-regeneration mode. It was found that the catalyst using hydrogen regeneration showed the best stability compared with those regenerated by nitrogen purging and coke-burning treatment, suggesting that hydrogen regeneration is an effective approach for maintaining the performance of Pt-Sn/γ-AlOcatalysts in propane dehydrogenation reaction. The effect of different regeneration atmospheres on the metal active center and the coke deposition was investigated by XRD,TEM, N-physisorption, TPO, TG and Raman technologies, and the results revealed that hydrogen or nitrogen regeneration resulted in little impact on the size and structure of metal active center, retaining the effective Pt Sn phase over the catalyst. Moreover, hydrogen regeneration not only removed the low dense components of the coke, but also altered the property of the residual coke through hydrogenation, leading to a higher mobility of coke, and thus a higher accessibility of the metal active centers. Whereas nitrogen regeneration only removed the low dense components of the coke. Although coke-burning regeneration caused a thorough coke removal, the catalyst subjected to repeated redox exhibited poor stability due to metal agglomeration, phase segregation and the resulting large PtSn particle and core-shell structure with a Sn-rich surface.

Small RNAs(sRNAs)have been recently recognized as key genetic and epigenetic regulators in various organisms,ranging from the modification of DNA and histone methylations to the modulation of the abundance of coding or non-coding *** plants,major regulatory sRNAs are classified as respective microRNA(miRNA)and small interfering RNA(siRNA)species,with the former primarily engaging in posttranscriptional regulation while the latter in transcriptional *** of these characterized sRNAs are involved in regulation of diverse biological programs,processes,and pathways in response to developmental cues,environmental signals/stresses,pathogen infection,and pest ***,sRNAs-mediated regulations have also been extensively investigated in horticultural plants,with many novel mechanisms unveiled,which display far more mechanistic complexity and unique regulatory features compared to those studied in model ***,we review the recent progress of sRNA research in horticultural plants,with emphasis on mechanistic aspects as well as their relevance to trait *** that major and pioneered sRNA research has been carried out in the model and other plants,we also discuss ongoing sRNA research on these *** miRNAs and phased siRNAs(phasiRNAs)are the most studied sRNA regulators,this review focuses on their biogenesis,conservation,function,and targeted genes and traits as well as the mechanistic relation between them,aiming at providing readers comprehensive information instrumental for future sRNA research in horticulture crops.

The conventional stationary Al content Al GaN electron blocking layer(EBL) in ultraviolet light-emitting diode(UV LED) is optimized by employing a linearly graded Al Ga N inserting layer which is 2.0 nm Al_(0.3) Ga_(0.7) N/5.0 nm Alx Ga_(1-x) N/8.0 nm Al_(0.3) Ga_(0.7) N with decreasing value of x. The results indicate that the internal quantum efficiency is significantly improved and the efficiency droop is mitigated by using the proposed structure. These improvements are attributed to the increase of the effective barrier height for electrons and the reduction of the effective barrier height for holes,which result in an increased hole injection efficiency and a decreased electron leakage into the p-type region. In addition,the linearly graded AlGaN inserting layer can generate more holes in EBL due to the polarization-induced hole doping and a tunneling effect probably occurs to enhance the hole transportation to the active regions, which will be beneficial to the radiative recombination.

A variety of luminol derivatives with N-and O-substitution have been synthesized with broad functional group tolerance. O-esterification has been demonstrated for the first time as a promising way to prepare enhanced CL reagents for sensing hemin, bloodstain and horseradish peroxidase(HRP). The most effective analogue with a deuterated acetyl group exhibited greater potential than luminol for bloodstain imaging and HRP imaging in western blotting(WB). In addition, O-etherification can greatly suppress CL signal that has been applied to design a CL probe for β-glucosidase(β-Glu). This study offers important and useful information regarding the luminol modification and shows great potential to use O-substituted analogues for enhanced CL analysis.

BACKGROUND Immune cells play a role in the regulation of tumor cell behavior, and accumulating evidence supports their significance in predicting outcomes and therapeutic efficacy in colorectal cancers(CRC). Human six-transmembrane epithelial antigen of the prostate(STEAP) proteins have been recognized and utilized as promising targets for cell-and antibody-based immunotherapy. One STEAP family member, STEAP4, is expected to be an attractive biomarker for the immunotherapy of prostate and breast cancer. However, the immunotherapeutic role of STEAP4 for colorectal carcinomas has not been *** To explore the expression pattern of STEAPs in CRC and their relationship with immune infiltration, and investigate the potential utilization of STEAPs as novel prognostic indicators in colorectal *** The expression level of STEAPs in CRC was evaluated using various openresource databases and online tools to explore the expression characteristics and prognostic significance of STEAPs, as well as their correlation with immunerelated biomarkers, such as immune infiltration. Immunohistochemical(IHC) experiments were subsequently performed to verify the database *** The levels of STEAPs in CRC were inconsistent. The expression of STEAPs 1-3 in CRC was not significantly different from that in normal tissues. However,STEAP4 mRNA levels were significantly lower in CRC than in normal tissue and were positively correlated with immune-related biomarkers, such as immune cell infiltration, immune stimulation, major histocompatibility complex levels, and chemokines. Interestingly, the expression of STEAP4 in microsatellite instability-high CRC subtype was higher than that in microsatellite stability subtype.
