Discrete Hopfield neural network with delay is an extension of discrete Hopfield neural network. As it is well known, the stability of neural networks is not only the most basic and important problem but also foundation of the network＇s applications. The stability of discrete HJopfield neural networks with delay is mainly investigated by using Lyapunov function. The sufficient conditions for the networks with delay converging towards a limit cycle of length 4 are obtained. Also, some sufficient criteria are given to ensure the networks having neither a stable state nor a limit cycle with length 2. The obtained results here generalize the previous results on stability of discrete Hopfield neural network with delay and without delay.

Owing to some problems in their stability of building structures in service,the general software ANSYS is adopted to establish the finite element models of rectangular reinforced concrete long columns confined with CFRP sheets under axial compression and used to analyze the influence of CFRP sheets to these structural buckling loads. Height of columns,layers of CFRP sheets,concrete grade, longitudinal rebar diameter,stirrup diameter and stirrup spacing are some factors *** on the nonlinear finite element buckling analysis of these columns,some major conclusions are summarized as follows:(1) The enhanced level of buckling load descends with columns height’s increasing;(2) The buckling load rises along with the increasing number of layers on a nonlinear manner;(3) The buckling load’s increment is hardly dependent of concrete grade,longitudinal rebar diameter,stirrup diameter and stirrup spacing;(4) The improvement is not very obvious to use CFRP sheets to strengthen the structure when it’s stability goes *** of CFRP sheets to rectangular reinforced concrete long columns under axial compression can be found by analyzing the stability of these columns,and the analysis results are available for the strengthening of some structures in practice.

Precise pupil center detection is an important factor for gaze tracking in video-oculography (VOG) *** methods per-form well to extract the features when the area of pupil in eye image is clear, whereas, interferences, such as eyelashes, corneal refiection etc., will lead to a low success *** main reason is the closure of *** this paper, a systemic 3D transformation algorithm is proposed to accurately ascertain the pupil center, in spite of the complicating factors mentioned *** show the good per-formance of our *** the pupil center could be extracted accurately, even though only 25% of the pupil is visible.
