Rapid detection of pathogenic bacteria based on a universal dual-recognition FRET sensing system constructed with aptamer-quantum dots and lectin-gold nanoparticles

The threat to public health from bacterial infections has led to an urgent need to develop simpler,faster and more reliable bacterial detection *** this work,we developed a universal dual-recognition based sandwich fluorescence resonance energy transfer(FRET)sensor by using specific aptamer-modified quantum dots(Aptamer-QDs)as energy donor and lectin concanavalin A(Con A)modified gold nanoparticles(Con A-AuNPs)as energy acceptor to achieve rapid and sensitive detection of Escherichia coli(***)within 0.5 *** the presence of the target ***,the energy donor of Aptamer-QDs and acceptor of Con A-AuNPs were close to each other,causing changes of FRET *** on the constructed FRET sensor,a linear detection range of from 10^(2)cfu/mL to 2×10^(8)cfu/mL with the detection limit of 45 cfu/mL for *** was ***,the FRET sensor was applied to detect *** in the milk and orange juice with the detection limit of 300 cfu/mL and 200 cfu/mL,respectively and recovery rate from 83.1%to 112.5%.The strategy holds great promise in pathogenic bacteria detection due to its rapid and sensitivity.

Citrus yellow mottle-associated virus(CiYMaV)belonging to the subgenus Mandarivirus within the genus Potexvirus,was first identified in 2018 from Pakistan(CiYMaV-PK),where it is endemic in several ***,three full-length cDNA clones(pCiYMaV-FL-1,pCiYMaV-FL-18,and pCiYMaV-FL-22)corresponding to the genomic RNA of CiYMaV were constructed and then agroinfiltrated on Chandler pummelo(Citrus grandis)seedlings using the vacuum infiltration *** the inoculated plants developed severe vein yellowing,leaf mottling,and dwarfing symptoms by 40 days post-infiltration(dpi).The results of a direct tissue blot immunoassay and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction detection showed 94.7–100%infection rates of pCiYMaV-FL at 60 *** there being no observed difference among the three clones in the severity of symptom,pCiYMaV-FL-22 showed the highest accumulation levels of viral RNA and coat ***,pCiYMaV-FL-22 successfully infected seven other citrus varieties and induced symptoms in five of *** electron microscopy identified the presence of filamentous virus particles in extracts from systemic leaves of the plants infected with pCiYMaV-FL-22 at 6-months *** together,the results indicate that Koch's postulates were fulfilled for CiYMaV in citrus *** is the first report of full-length infectious cDNA clones of CiYMaV,and thus,the data provide a basis for further study of the molecular mechanisms of virus infection and the development of a viral vector to express foreign genes in citrus plants.

A fabrication process based on the self-assembling polystyrene spheres is proposed to obtain hole arrayed metal-insulator-metal （HA-MIM） structure for surface enhanced Raman scattering （SERS）. The localized field enhancement aroused by the gap resonance in the HA-MIM structure is analyzed by finite-different time domain （FDTD） method. With reference to the theory result, the structure is experimentally fabricated and the Raman scattering spectrum of rhodamine 6G （R6G） is measured by a miniaturized Raman spectrometer. The results shows that the enhancement factor is 3.85 times higher than the control sample with single layered metal hole array. The fabrication process to obtain the HA-MIM SERS substrate is reproducible, fast, large area and low cost.

The total energy, electronic structures, and magnetisms of the Al Cu2Mn-type Co2TiSb1-xSnx（x = 0, 0.25, 0.5） with the different lattice parameter ratios of c/a are studied by using the first-principles calculations. It is found that the phase transformation from the cubic to the tetragonal structure lowers the total energy, indicating that the martensitic phase is more stable and that a phase transition from austenite to martensite may happen at a lower temperature. Thus, a ferromagnetic shape memory effect can be expected to occur in these alloys. The Al Cu2Mn-type Co2TiSb1-xSnx（x = 0, 0.25, 0.5） alloys are weak ferrimagnets in the austenitic phase and martensitic phase.

Side-chain modification is a proven effective approach for morphology manipulation in organic solar cells(OSCs).However,in-depth analysis and investigation involving side-chain modification towards morphology improvement,including molecular microstructure,orientating packing and aggregation are urgent for all-small-molecule(ASM)***,employing a fluorine-modified two-dimension benzodithiophene(BDT)as central unit,we contrastively synthesized two small-molecule donors,namely BDT-F-SR and BDT-F-R,each welding alkylthio side-chains on thienyl of central BDT unit and the other grafted non-sulfuric alkyl *** predicted,the synergetic side-chain modification of fluorination and alkyl changeover triggers diverse molecular dipole moments and orientations,resulting in different molecular energy levels,thermal stabilities,molecular planarity and ***,together with the preeminent small-molecule acceptor Y6,BDT-F-R-based ASM OSCs obtain enhanced power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 13.88%compared to BDT-F-SR-based devices(PCE of 12.75%)with more suitable phase-separation and balanced carrier *** contrast results reveal that alkyl sidechains seem to be a more satisfactory partner for fluorine-modified 2D BDT-based small-molecule donors compared to alkylthio pendants,and highlight the significance of subtle side-chain modification for molecular structural order fun-tuning and morphology control,laying the foundation for efficient ASM OSCs.

Fungal alkylresorcinols are a class of polyketides,which are commonly synthesized by the hybridization of highly reducing polyketide synthase(hrPKS)with non-reducing polyketide synthase(nrPKS).In this study,we identified and demonstrated a new assembly model for synthesizing alkylresorcinol(scirpilin A,1),which was accomplished by collaboration of a hrPKS(FscA)and a typeⅢPKS(FscB).Furthermore,three post-tailoring enzymes(FscC,FscD,and FscE)act iteratively on 1 skeleton,including successive 14e-oxidation of inert carbons,di-halogenation,and di-methylation,to form highly oxidized and multisubstituted *** work presents an unusual synthesis manner of alkylresorcinols,sheds light on the collaborative mechanism between hrPKS and typeⅢPKS and provides three valuable enzymatic catalysts for the tailoring of alkylresorcinol family natural products in future.

Aqueous zinc ion batteries(AZIBs)have attracted much attention in recent years due to their high safety,low cost,and decent electrochemical ***,the traditional electrodes development process requires tedious synthesis and testing procedures,which reduces the efficiency of developing highperformance battery ***,we proposed a high-throughput screening strategy based on firstprinciples calculations to aid the experimental development of high-performance spinel cathode materials for *** obtained 14 spinel materials from 12,047 Mn/Zn-O based materials by examining their structures and whether they satisfy the basic properties of *** their band structures and density of states,open circuit voltage and volume expansion rate,ionic diffusion coefficient and energy barrier were further evaluated by first-principles calculations,resulting in five potential *** of the promising candidates identified,Mg_(2)MnO_(4),was experimentally synthesized,characterized and integrated into an AZIB based cell to verify its performance as a *** Mg_(2)MnO_(4)cathode exhibits excellent cycling stability,which is consistent with the theoretically predicted low volume ***,at high current density,the Mg_(2)MnO_(4)cathode still exhibits high reversible capacity and excellent rate performance,indicating that it is an excellent cathode material for *** work provides a new approach to accelerate the development of high-performance cathodes for AZIBs and other ion batteries.

CO_(2)geological storage and utilization(CGSU)is considered a far-reaching technique to meet the demand of increasing energy supply and decreasing CO_(2)*** CGSUs related to shale gas reservoirs,experimental investigations have attracted variable methodologies,among which low-field NMR(LF-NMR)is a promising method and is playing an increasingly key role in reservoir ***,the application of this nondestructive,sensitive,and quick LF-NMR technique in characterizing CGSU behavior in shale gas reservoirs is ***,the basic principle of LF-NMR for 1H-fluid detection is introduced,which is the theoretical foundation of the reviewed achievements in this ***,the reviewed works are related to the LF-NMR-based measurements of CH_(4)adsorption capacity and the CO_(2)-CH_(4)interaction in shale,as well as the performance on CO_(2)sequestration and simultaneous enhanced gas recovery from ***,the reviewed achievements have exhibited a large potential for LF-NMR application in CGSUs related to shale gas reservoirs,although some limitations and deficiencies still need to be ***,some suggestions are proposed for a more responsible development of the LF-NMR ***,this review is helpful in promoting the expanding application of the LF-NMR technique in CGSU implementation in shale gas reservoirs.

The solar-blind ultraviolet(UV)wavelength is particularly interesting within the range of 200 nm–300 ***,we propose a focusing metalens,focusing vortex beam(VB)metalens and metalens array that specifically work in the UV band to focus a beam or ***,a high numerical aperture(NA)focusing metalens working at a wavelength of 214.2 nm was designed,and the NA reached *** corresponding conversion efficiency of the unit structure reached as high as 94%,and the full width at half maximum was only 117.2 *** with large NA can act as optical tweezers and can be applied to trap ultracold atoms and ***,a focused VB metalens in the wavelength range of200 nm–300 nm was also designed,which can convert polarized light into a VB and focus the VB ***,a metalens array was developed to focus VBs with different topological charges on the same focal *** series of UV metalenses could be widely used in UV microscopy,photolithography,photonics communication,etc.
