The Tongshankou Cu-Mo deposit, located in southeast Hubei province, is a typical skarn–porphyry type ore deposit closely related to the Tongshankou granodiorite porphyry, characterized by a high Sr/Y *** in situ analyses of the trace elements and U–Pb and Lu–Hf isotopes in zircons from the Tongshankou granodiorite porphyry were *** any inherited zircons were observed, and the analyzed zircons yielded highly concordant results with a weighted mean 206Pb/238 U age of 143.5 ± 0.45 Ma（n=20, mean square weighted deviation was 0.75）, which was interpreted to represent the crystallization age of the Tongshankou granodiorite *** chondrite-normalized rare-earth element pattern was characterized by a slope that steeply rises from the light-group rare-earth elements（LREE） to the heavy-group rare-earth elements（HREE） with a positive Ce-anomaly and inconspicuous Eu-anomaly, which was coincident with the pattern of the zircons from the Chuquicamata West porphyry, *** analyzed zircons also had relatively low 176Hf/177 Hf ratios of 0.282526–*** t=143 Ma, the corresponding calculated initial Hf isotope compositions（εHf（t）） ranged from-5.6 *** results of the in situ analysis of trace elements and U–Pb and Lu–Hf isotopes in zircons from the Tongshankou granodiorite porphyry suggest that a deep-seated process involving a thickened-crust/enriched-mantle interaction may play an important role in the generation of high Sr/Y-ratio magma and potentially in the generation of porphyry Cu-Mo systems.

Crystalline basement and Precambrian crustal growth of the continental massifs within the Central Asian Orogenic Belt(CAOB) are still pending problems. Our geological and geochemical investigations identified an Archean(2606 Ma) granitic pluton in the Biliya area of the Erguna Massif. The Neoarchean granitoids show high and positive in-situ zircon ε_(Ht)(t)(+0.3 to +10.0), whole-rock ε_(Nd)(t)(+4.8) and whole-rock ε_(Ht)(t) values(+2.1). They are characterized by high Y + Ce + Zr + Nb(> 220 ppm) and Zr contents and could be classified as A-type granites. These granitoids are characterized by high Zr saturation temperatures(T;)(796–836°C). They were derived from partial re-melting of juvenile mafic lower crust in an intracontinental back-arc extensional environment. This newly identified Neoarchean granitic pluton may represent the crystalline basement of the several continent massifs within the CAOB, and their high ε_(Ht)(t)–ε_(Nd)(t) values may also indicate the occurrence of lateral crustal growth events in these massifs during the Neoarchean.

Discovery of Cinnabar in Soils in Hg Anomalous Zones in City and Town Areas and Their Surroundings and Its Significance

As a result of systematic study on heavy minerals in soils at city and town areas and their surroundings, cinnabar was discovered for the first time in areas of Hg anomalies in china, and it was found that the distribution of cinnabar was basically coincident in scope with that of Hg anomalies, showing that Hg anomalies were'closely related to cinnabar. This finding provides a theoretical basis for a verification of Hg anomalies in soils in city and town areas and their surroundings, as well as evaluation of its ecological effects, and is significant to revealing the occurrence modes and origin of Hg in soils.

Numerical simulations and comparative analysis for two types of storm surges in the Bohai Sea using a coupled atmosphere-ocean model

The Bohai Sea is extremely susceptible to storm surges induced by extratropical storms and tropical cyclones in nearly every season. In order to relieve the impacts of storm surge disasters on structures and human lives in coastal regions, it is very important to understand the occurring of the severe storm surges. The previous research is mostly restricted to a single type of storm surge caused by extratropical storm or tropical cyclone. In present paper, a coupled atmosphere-ocean model is developed to study the storm surges induced by two types of extreme weather conditions. Two special cases happened in the Bohai Sea are simulated successively. The wind intensity and minimum sea-level pressure derived from the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model agree well with the observed data. The computed time series of water level obtained from the Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS) also are in good agreement with the tide gauge observations. The structures of the wind fields and average currents for two types of storm surges are analyzed and compared. The results of coupled model are compared with those from the uncoupled model. The case studies indicate that the wind field and structure of the ocean surface current have great differences between extratropical storm surge and typhoon storm surge. The magnitude of storm surge in the Bohai Sea is shown mainly determined by the ocean surface driving force, but greatly affected by the coastal geometry and bathymetry.

The Geochemical and Zircon Trace Elements Characteristics of A-type Granitoids in Boziguoer, Baicheng County, Xinjiang

The Boziguoer A-type granitoids in Baicheng County,Xinjiang,belong to the northern margin of the Tarim platform as well as the neighboring EW-oriented alkaline intrusive *** rocks comprise an aegirine or arfvedsonite quartz alkali feldspar syenite,an aegirine or arfvedsonite alkali feldspar granite,and a biotite alkali feldspar *** major rock-forming minerals are albite,K-feldspar,quartz,arfvedsonite,aegirine,and *** accessory minerals are mainly zircon,pyrochlore,thorite,fluorite,monazite,bastnaesite,xenotime,and *** chemical composition of the alkaline granitoids show that SiO2 varies from 64.55％ to 72.29％ with a mean value of 67.32％,Na2O＋K2O is high （9.85％-11.87％） with a mean of 11.14％,K2O is 2.39％-5.47％（mean =4.73％）,the K2O/Na2O ratios are 0.31-0.96,Al2O3 ranges from 12.58％ to 15.44％,and total FeOT is between 2.35％ and 5.65％.CaO,MgO,MnO,and TiO2 are *** REE content is high and the total SREE is （263-1219） ppm （mean =776 ppm）,showing LREE enrichment and HREE depletion with strong negative Eu *** addition,the chondrite-normalized REE patterns of the alkaline granitoids belong to the ＂seagull＂ pattern of the *** Zr content is （113-1246） ppm （mean =594 ppm）,Zr＋Nb＋Ce＋Y is between （478-2203） ppm with a mean of 1362 ***,the alkaline granitoids have high HFSE （Ga,Nb,Ta,Zr,and Hf） content and low LILE （Ba,K,and Sr） *** Nb/Ta ratio varies from 7.23 to 32.59 （mean =16.59） and the Zr/Hf ratio is 16.69-58.04 （mean =36.80）.The zircons are depleted in LREE and enriched in *** chondrite-normalized REE patterns of the zircons are of the ＂seagull＂ pattern of the left-inclined type with strong negative Eu anomaly and without a Ce *** Boziguoer A-type granitoids share similar features with A1-type *** average temperature of the granitic magma was estimated at 832-839℃.The Boziguoer A-type granitoids show crust-mantle mixing and may have formed in an anorogenic intraplate te

Genesis of Makeng-type Fe-polymetallic deposits in SE china:New constraints by geochronological and isotopic data from the Dapai–Makeng metallogenic system

The southwestern Fujian depression belt(SFDB)is an economically important Mesozoic Fe metallogenic belt in South china and is renowned for its Makeng-type Fe deposits,in which stratified skarn Fe orebodies generally occur in or near the contact zone between late Paleozoic carbonate sequences and Mesozoic ***,the genesis and geodynamic setting of these deposits remain unclear because the characteristics of the widely distributed Pb–Zn–Cu and Mo orebodies in these deposits and the temporal,spatial,and genetic relationships between magmatism and mineralization are poorly *** Dapai Fe polymetallic deposit in the SFDB is a typical example of Makeng-type Fe deposits but also has regional significance,whereby the stratified skarn Fe orebodies have overprinted the stratabound Pb–Zn–Cu mineralization followed by final fissure-filling by vein-disseminated Mo mineralization.A detailed geological investigation suggests that episodic magmatic–hydrothermal events were involved in the formation process of the Dapai Fe polymetallic *** and sphalerite from the Pb–Zn–Cu orebodies yield an Rb–Sr isochron age of 175.5±3.3 Ma,which is regarded as the timing of Pb–Zn–Cu *** grains from Fe-mineralized granodiorite porphyry and Mo-mineralized monzogranite yield weighted-mean 206Pb/238U ages of 146.3±0.9 Ma and 131.7±0.4 Ma,interpreted as the timings of Fe and Mo mineralization,*** zircons from granodiorite also yield a 206Pb/238U model age cluster of184 Ma,which coincides reasonably with the timing of Pb–Zn–Cu mineralization and implies the existence of an unidentified ore-related intrusion in the Dapai *** further zircons from the porphyritic granodiorite yield an age cluster of-150 Ma,consistent with the timing of Fe ***,pyrite,and sphalerite from the Dapai and Makeng deposits have similar S–Pb isotopic compositions and suggest a magmatic *** our results with published isotopic data fo

The First Discovered Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) Event in the Middle and Lower Region of the Yongding River Basin, Southern Beijing Plain

Objective LGM is a critical climate period in the late Quaternary and is the most recent extreme cold event. Clark et al. （2009） used 4271^14C records and 475 cosmogenic nuclide datings to define LGM be in 26.5-19.0 kaBP. LGM age often changes with time in different regions （Mix et al., 2001; Zhang Zhigang et al., 2015）. However, LGM has not been described to date in the Beijing region. During our field work in 2015-2017, LGM event stratigraphy was discovered from sevral boreholes in the middle and lower region of Yongding river basin, Southern Beijing plain.

Distribution Characteristics and Metallogenic Regularity of Graphite Deposits in Qinling Orogen,china

Qinling orogen is one of the five main repository distribution provinces of large scale graphite resources. Graphite occurrence strata are multitudinous including NeoArchaean group to Neopaleozoic. Mineral deposit types are complete consisting of crystal flaky graphite deposit and aphanitic graphite deposit, ore types of the former are main graphite gneiss, graphite schist and graphitized marble, and ore types of the latter are main graphite layer metamorphosised from coal bed and graphitic carbargilite. At present, most graphite deposits with low research degree only implement preliminary investigations of the graphite resource, which has a good prospect. Based on the basic material of dozens of graphite deposits, spots and plays discovered in the Qinling orogen, this paper applied geologic multidisciplinary analysis method to disclose the graphite deposit types of the Qinling orogen, mainly through outdoors geologic survey and specimen examination with analysis of some typical deposits： regional metamorphism crystal graphite deposits and thermo-contact metamorphic aphanitic graphite deposits, with the control of latitudinally trending regional tectonic, graphite deposits of the Qinling orogen distribute sublatitudinally trending three large ore belts： I the Neoarchean-Proterozoic basement crystal graphite enrichment deposits zone along the south margin of North china plate; II the Carboniferous intermountain basin group aphanitic graphite enrichment deposits zone near the Shangdan suture of the West Qinling; III Paleozoic crystal graphite enrichment deposits zone in the Qinling paleomicroplate of the west part of the East *** are reached from multiple inquiries： Qinling multi-cycle complex continental collision orogen zone has experienced multiple tectonic framework transformation and polyphase tectonic thermal event from NeoArchean Erathem adjointing multiple graphite tectonic mineralization cycle. Reconstructing the thermal evolution of the eastern Qaidam Basin is important for gaining a deeper understanding of its lithospheric geodynamics and for more accurate hydrocarbon evaluation and prediction. This article presents a set of new apatite and zircon(U-Th)/He thermochronological *** with 336 vitrinite reflectance(R_(o)) data, the thermal history of the Ouanan Sag in the eastern Qaidam Basin has been reconstructed using inversion models. Three detrital samples from the Ounan Sag shows that the apatite(U-Th)/He ages are primarily concentrated in the range of 17.0 Ma to 76.5 Ma and that the zircon(U-Th)/He ages range from 200 Ma to 289.3 Ma. The time-temperature models demonstrate that the Ounan Sag experienced rapid subsidence and heating from the Carboniferous to late Permian, and exhumation/cooling events from the end of Permian to the Triassic. This thermal evolution was influenced by the widespread intrusion of plutons, and the collision and orogenesis caused by asthenosphere upwelling below the Qaidam arc, and slab rollback of the Southern Kunlun oceanic lithosphere, respectively. Additionally, our models depict the main exhumation/cooling stages since the Paleogene and a reheating event in the Miocene as a result of the intensifying growth of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and local sedimentary loading, followed by the initial India-Eurasia collision. Furthermore, the eastern Qaidam Basin experienced consistent heating during the late Paleozoic, reaching the maximum paleotemperature and geothermal gradient in the late Permian, with values of ~230℃ and~43-44℃/km, respectively. This study suggests that the source rocks in the most upper member of upper Carboniferous Keluke(C_(2)k) Formations in the Ounan Sag reached the gas generation stage in the late Permian.
