Immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)therapy targeting programmed cell death ligand 1(PD-L1)and programmed death protein 1(PD-1)had exhibited significant clinical benefits for cancer treatment such as triple negative breast cancer(TNBC).However,the relatively low anti-tumor immune response rate and ICIs drug resistance highlight the necessity of developing ICIs combination therapy strategies to improve the anti-tumor effect of ***,the immunomodulator epigallocatechin gallate palmitate(PEGCG)and the immunoadjuvant metformin(MET)self-assembled into tumor-targeted micelles via hydrogen bond and electrostatic interaction,which encapsulated the therapeutic agents doxorubicin(DOX)-loaded PEGCG-MET micelles(PMD)and combined with ICIs(anti-PD-1 antibody)as therapeutic strategy to reduce the endogenous expression of PD-L1 and improve the tumor immunosuppressive *** results presented that PMD integrated chemotherapy and immunotherapy to enhance antitumor efficacy in vitro and in vivo,compared with DOX or anti-PD-1 antibody for the therapy of *** micelles might be a potential candidate,which could remedy the shortcomings of antibody-based ICIs and provide synergistic effect to enhance the antitumor effects of ICIs in tumor therapy.

Genomic profiling of colorectal cancer in large-scale Chinese patients:amplification and somatic mutations in ERBB2

Objective: Real-world diagnostic and treatment data for pancreatic cancer in China are lacking. As such, the present study investigated the clinical characteristics, diagnosis, and treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer (including locally advanced and metastatic disease) in the Hospital-based Advanced Pancreatic Cancer Cohort in China of the China Pancreas Data Center ***: A total of 5349 Chinese patients with advanced pancreatic cancer were identified from a database. The entire course of real-world pancreatic cancer management was ***: The proportion of patients with advanced pancreatic cancer was higher among males than females (62.4% vs 37.6%, respectively). Patients typically had a history of hypertension (30.8%), diabetes (21.6%), and cholangitis (20.2%). Abdominal pain (51.6%), abdominal distension (27.1%), jaundice (20.1%), and weight loss (16.3%) were the main symptoms observed in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer in this cohort. Serum carbohydrate antigen (CA)19-9 is one of the most common tumor markers. In the present study, 2562 patients underwent first-line therapy. The median progression-free survival (PFS) for patients undergoing first-line therapy was 4.1 months. The major options for first-line therapy included gemcitabine (GEM) plus S-1 (GS/X) (23.4%), nab-paclitaxel plus GEM (AG) (18.1%), oxaliplatin, irinotecan, and leucovorin-modulated fluorouracil (FOLFIRINOX; 11.9%), nab-paclitaxel plus S-1 (AS) (8.9%), and GEM combined with oxaliplatin/cisplatin (GEMOX/GP) (7.6%). The AS and GS/X regimens were associated with the highest PFS ***: This is the first study to report multicenter, real-world data regarding advanced pancreatic cancer in China. D2 lymphadenectomy with complete mesogastrium excision vs. conventional D2 gastrectomy for advanced gastric cancer

Background: The complete mesogastrium excision (CME) based on D2 radical gastrectomy is believed to significantly reduce the local-regional recurrence compared with D2 radical gastrectomy in advanced gastric cancer, and it is widely used in China. This study aimed to explore whether D2 + CME is superior to D2 on surgical outcomes during gastrectomy from Chinese ***: Feasible studies comparing the D2 + CME (D2 + CME group) and D2 (D2 group) published up to March 2020 are searched from electronic databases. The data showing surgical and complication outcomes are extracted to be pooled and ***: Fourteen records including 1352 patients were included. The D2 + CME group had a shorter mean operative time (weighted mean difference [WMD] = -16.72 min, 95% confidence interval [CI]: -26.56 to - 6.87 min,P 0.001), lower mean blood loss (WMD = -39.08 mL, 95% CI: -49.94 to -28.21 mL,P 0.001), higher mean number of retrieved lymph nodes (WMD = 2.13, 95% CI: 0.58-3.67,P = 0.007), shorter time to first flatus (WMD =-0.31 d, 95% CI: -0.53 to - 0.10 d,P = 0.005), and postoperative hospital days (WMD =-1.09, 95% CI: -1.92 to -0.25,P = 0.010) than the D2 group. Subgroup analysis suggested that the advantages from the D2 + CME group were obvious in traditional open radical gastrectomy, proximal gastrectomy, and distal gastrectomy compared with D2 group. The evaluations of post-operative complications showed that the patients who underwent D2 + CME had a lower incidence of post-operative complications than the patients who underwent D2 surgery alone (relative risk [RR] = 0.65, 95% CI: 0.45-0.87,P = 0.003).
