nhanced silicate weathering induced by the uplift of the Himalayan-Tibetan Plateau(HTP)has been considered as the major cause of pCO_(2) decline and Cenozoic ***,this hypothesis remains to be validated,largely due to the lack of a reliable reconstruction of the HTP weathering ***,we present a 37-million-year record of the difference in the seawater radiogenic neodymium isotopic composition(△ε_(Nd))of Ocean Drilling program(ODP)sites and Fe-Mn crusts between the northern and central Indian Ocean,which indicates the contribution of regional weathering input from the South Asian continent to the Indian *** results show a long-term increase in △ε_(Nd) and thus provide the first critical evidence of enhanced South Asian weathering input since the late *** evolution coincided well with major pulses of surface uplift in the HTP and global climatic *** foraminiferal eNd record suggests that tectonic uplift and silicate weathering in South Asia,especially in the Himalayas,might have played a significant role in the late Cenozoic cooling.

While prokaryotes play key roles in nutrient cycling and energy flow during Phaeocystis globosa blooms,the information on the spatial and diel temporal distribution of the prokaryotic community during Phaeocystis blooms remains *** January 2019,we used high-throughput sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene to explore the spatial and diel variations of particle-attached(PA)and free-living(FL)prokaryotic communities during the blooming phase of *** in Beibu Gulf,Guangxi,*** results suggested a significant spatial variation pattern in the horizontal distribution of prokaryotic communities,while there was no significant difference in the vertical *** spatial distance and environmental variables shaped the horizontal distribution of the prokaryotic community structure,while environmental variables,particularly the abundance of *** colony and Chl a,showed more significant influence and were closely related to the structure and variation of the prokaryotic *** vertical mixing of the water column disrupted the vertical structure heterogeneity of the prokaryotic community in *** were significant differences in the diel samples of PA prokaryotic communities,but not in the FL prokaryotic ***,ammonium and the abundance of *** colony were the key environmental variables impacting the diel variations of prokaryotic communities over the sampling *** present study provided valuable information to depict the spatial-temporal variations of the microbial community and its association with environmental parameters during *** bloom in the tropical gulf.

Hybrid-driven Underwater Glider(HUG)is a new type of underwater vehicle which integrates the functions of an Autonomous Underwater Glider(AUG)and an Autonomous Unmanned Vehicle(AUV).Although HUG has the characteristics of long endurance distance,its maneuverability still has room to be *** work introduces a new movement form of the neck of the underwater creature into HUG and proposes a parallel mechanism to adjust the attitude angle and displacement of the HUG’s bow,which can improve the steering ***,the influence of bow movement and rotation on the hydrodynamic force and flow field of the whole machine is analyzed by using the Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)*** degree of freedom,attitude control range and movement amount of the Movable Bow Mechanism(MBM)are obtained,and then the design of MBM is completed based on these ***,the kinematic and dynamic models of MBM are established based on the closed vector method and the Lagrange equation,respectively,which are fully verified by comparing the results of simulation in Matlab and Adams software,then a Radial Basis Function(RBF)neural network adaptive sliding mode controller is designed to improve the dynamic response effect of the output parameters of ***,a prototype of MBM is manufactured and *** kinematic,dynamics model and controller are verified by experiments,which provides a basis for applying MBM in HUGs.

The coastal upwelling has profound influence on the surrounding ecosystem by supplying the nutrient-replete water to the euphotic *** biogeochemistry was investigated in coastal waters of the eastern Hainan Island in summer 2015 and autumn *** perspectives of nutrient dynamics and physical transport,the nutrient fluxes entered the upper 50 m water depth(between the mixed layer and the euphotic zone)arisen from the upwelling were estimated to be 2.5-5.4 mmol/(m^(2)·d),0.15-0.28 mmol/(m^(2)·d),and 2.2-7.2 mmol/(m^(2)·d)for dissolved inorganic nitrogen(DIN),phosphate(DIP),and dissolved silicate(DSi),respectively,which were around 6-to 12-fold those in the background *** upwelled nutrients supported an additional plankton growth of(14.70±8.95)mg/m^(2)for chlorophyll a(Chl a).The distributions of nitrateδ^(15)N andδ^(18)O above the 300 m water depth(top of the North Pacific Intermediate Water)were different among the upwelling area,background area in summer,and the stations in autumn,and the difference of environmental and biogeochemical conditions between seasons should be the *** higher DIN/DIP concentration ratio,nitrate concentration anomaly,and lower nitrate isotope anomaly(Δ(15,18))in the upper ocean in summer than in autumn indicated the stronger nitrogen fixation and atmospheric deposition,and the following fixed nitrogen regeneration in *** higher values of Chl a and nitrateδ^(15)N andδ^(18)O within the euphotic zone in autumn than the background area in summer suggested the stronger nitrate assimilation in *** differences in relatively strength of the assimilation,nitrogen fixation and atmospheric deposition,and the following remineralization and nitrification between the two seasons made the higherδ^(18)O:δ^(15)N and larger difference of enzymatic isotope fractionation factors^(15)εand^(18)εfor nitrate assimilation in summer than in autumn above the North Pacific Tropical Water.

The Yellow Sea(YS)and East China Sea(ECS)are important marginal seas of the western *** the dynamics of methane(CH_(4))in the YS and ECS are essential to evaluate the role of coastal seas in global *** measured dissolved CH_(4) at various depths in the water column of the YS and ECS during a cruise from March to April *** concentrations of CH_(4) varied greatly in different water masses,suggesting that the hydrographic conditions can substantially aff ect the CH_(4) *** CH_(4) budget in the shelf of the ECS,which was estimated with a box model,suggests CH_(4) consumption in the water column was the major sink(>95%),followed by a loss with a total of 2.2%CH_(4) released to the *** a local CH_(4) production of 0.28 nmol/(L·d)was needed to maintain the CH_(4) *** from laboratory incubations showed an increase in CH_(4)(1.5 times higher than the value of the control)after the addition of dimethylsulfoniopropionate(DMSP).Field incubations result in a CH_(4) production rate of 1.2 nmol/(L·d)under a N-stressed conditions(N꞉P<1),indicates that the DMSP-dependent CH_(4) production prefer to occur in the oligotrophic seawaters,where nitrogen is *** study demonstrates that the marginal seas of China is a hotspot for CH_(4) dynamics,and the cycling of methylated sulfur compounds(such as DMSP)may contribute importantly to locally formed CH_(4).This may have further implication to carbon and sulfur biogeochemical cycles in the western Pacific.

The eruption of large igneous provinces usually has major geodynamic in fluence sonoverriding *** chains indicate that the drifting direction of the Pacific Plate changed by~80°in the Early Cretaceous when the Ontong Java Plateau ***,however,is not fully consistent with the magnetic *** we show that there is an angle of~25°between the magnetic anomaly lines M_(0)and 34 of both the Japanese and the Hawaiian lineations,suggesting that the orientations of both spreading ridges changed by roughly the same angle towards the same *** configurations of the Shatsky Rise,the Papanin Ridge and the Osbourn Trough suggest that the eruption of the Ontong Java plume head uplifted the southeastern corner of the Pacific Plate,and pushed its east part northward by~700 km within 2 ***,the west part of the Pacific Plate was subducting southwestward underneath the eastern Asian *** two forces together rotated the Pacific Plate anticlockwisely by ca 50°.Consequently,the drifting direction of the Pacific Plate also changed from southwestward to northwestward,which plausibly explains the ca 80°bending of the Shatsky Rise and the Papanin *** ridge between the Pacific and the Izanagi/Kula plates was pointed towards the~300°orientation,whereas the Pacific Plate was subducting towards the~250°orientation before~125 Ma,and towards~280°afterward.

The Duolong mineral district in western Tibet is one of the largest porphyry Cu–Au deposit fields with significant metallogenic potential in *** tectonic environment relevant to Early Cretaceous Cu–Au mineralization remains *** we report new whole-rock major and trace element,and Sr-Nd-Hf-Pb isotopic data for the newly discovered basalt in the Nadun area,Duolong mineral district,to decipher their genesis and further constrain the tectonic environment.A contemporaneous rhyolite sample interbedded with the basalt in the lower part of the volcanic section in the Nadun area yields an LA-ICP-MS zircon U–Pb age of 122.5±1.2 *** basalt samples exhibit high-K calc-alkaline/shoshonite properties and are enriched in high field strength elements,e.g.,high Ti O_(2)(1.43–1.79 wt.%)and Nb(14.6–19.5 ppm)contents,with high Nb/La ratios(0.4–0.6),which are compositionally comparable to those of Nb-enriched arc basalts(NEABs).The(^(87) Sr/^(86) Sr)iratios of 0.7052 to 0.7056,negative eNd(t)(-0.7 to-0.2)and eHf(t)values(+6.0 to+6.5),and high(^(206) Pb/^(204)Pb)i,(^(207) Pb/^(204)Pb)i,(^(208) Pb/^(204)Pb)iand ratios(18.522 to 18.561,15.641 to 15.645 and 38.679 to 38.730,respectively)suggest that the Nadun NEABs are more enriched than those of the island arc basalts(IABs)in the *** slightly enriched radiogenic isotopes for the Nadun NEABs indicate that the subducting sediments play an important role in the ***,their high Nb,Ti,and Cu contents indicate that the source mantle wedge was metasomatized by slab *** Nadun NEAB and other coeval magmatic rocks in the Duolong mineral district,including adakite,OIB-like basalt,MORB-type basalt,A-type rhyolite,and common IAB,are typical rock assemblages of ridge *** infer that the Duolong mineral district were formed by ridge subduction in the Early Cretaceous.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the genetic parameters of the growth performance of Takifugu *** and genetic correlations were estimated for body weight(BW),body length(BL),total length(TL),chest measurement(CM)and trunk length(TKL)of *** from measurements of progeny at 6 months and 12 *** results showed that the heritability was 0.37 for BW6,0.19 for BL6,0.35 for TL6,0.29 for CM6,0.26 for TKL6,0.36 for BW12,0.26 for BL12,0.25 for TL12,0.31 for CM12 and 0.15 for *** range of genetic correlations estimated at 6 months was 0.025–0.725 and−0.002–0.706 at 12 *** results indicated that genetic improvement for faster growth rate or increased body weight in cultured *** was *** on selection theory,the selection strategy for traits with medium heritability is *** that these growth traits do not reach the high level of heritability,family selection should be *** positive genetic correlations among BW,BL,TL,CM,and TKL at 6 months,the five traits could be improved simultaneously through selective *** there was high genetic correlation only between BW12,BL12 and TL12,and negative correlations between TKL12 and BL12 as well as between CM12 and TL12,and only BW,BL and TL at 12 months could be improved simultaneously.
