Delay tolerant networks （DTNs） are a kind of sparse and highly mobile wireless networks, where no.stableconnectivity guarantee can be assumed. most DTN users have several points of interest （PoIs）, and they enjoy disseminatingmessages to the other users of the same PoI through WiFi. In DTNs, some time-sensitive messages （disaster warnings, searchno.ices, etc.） need to be rapidly propagated among specific users or areas. Therefore, finding a path from the source tothe destination with the shortest delay is the key problem. Taking the dissemination cost into consideration, we proposean efficient message dissemination strategy for minimizing delivery delay （mDmD） in DTNs, which first defines the user＇sactiveness according to the transiting habit among different PoIs. Furthermore, depending on the activeness, an optimaluser in each PoI is selected to constitute the path with the shortest delay. Finally, the mDmD with inactive state （on theway between PoIs） is further proposed to enhance the applicability. Simulation results show that, compared with otherdissemination strategies, mDmD achieves the lowest average delay, and the comparable average hopcounts, on the premisethat the delivery ratio is guaranteed to be 100% by the sufficient simulation time.

The mobile crowdsensing software systems can complete large-scale and complex sensing tasks with the help of the collective intelligence from large numbers of ordinary users. In this paper, we build a typical crowdsensing system, which can efficiently calibrate large numbers of smartphone barometer sensors. The barometer sensor no. becomes a very common sensor on smartphones. It is very useful in many applications, such as positioning, environment sensing and activity detection. Unfortunately, most smartphone barometers today are no. accurate eno.gh, and it is rather challenging to efficiently calibrate a large number of smartphone barometers. Here, we try to achieve this goal by designing a crowdsensingbased smartphone calibration system, which is called CBSC. It makes use of low-power barometers on smartphones and needs few reference points and little human assistant. We propose a hidden markov model for peer-to-peer calibration, and calibrate all the barometers by solving a minimum dominating set problem. The field studies show that CBSC can get an accuracy of within 0.1 hPa in 84% cases. Compared with the traditional solutions, CBSC is more practical and the accuracy is satisfying. The experience gained when building this system can also help the development of other crowdsensing-based systems.

Flexoelectricity refers to the mechanical-electro coupling between strain gradient and electric polarization, and conversely, the electro-mechanical coupling between electric field gradient and mechanical stress. This unique effect shows a promising size effect which is usually large as the material dimension is shrunk down. moreover, it could break the limitation of centrosymmetry, and has been found in numerous kinds of materials which cover insulators, liquid crystals, biological materials, and semiconductors. In this review, we will give a brief report about the recent discoveries in flexoelectricity, focusing on the flexoelectric materials and their applications. The theoretical developments in this field are also addressed. In the end, the perspective of flexoelectricity and some open questions which still remain unsolved are commented upon.

Rational drug use requires that patients receive medications for an adequate period of *** adequate duration time of medications no. only improve the therapeutic effect of medicines,but also reduce the side effects and adverse reactions of *** paper proposes a data-driven method to mine typical treatment duration patterns for rational drug use from electronic medical records (EmRs).Firstly,a quintuple is defined to describe drug use duration statistics (DUDS) for each drug and treatment record is further represented with DUDS vector (DUDSV).Next a similarity measure method is adopted to compute the similarity between treatment ***,a clustering algorithm is used to cluster all patient treatment records to extract typical treatment duration patterns including typical drug sets,effective drug use day sets,and the DUDSs of each typical *** the extracted typical treatment duration patterns are evaluated and anno.ated based on patients' demographic information,disease severity scores,treatment outcome and diagno.tic ***,a real-world EmR dataset is performed to indicate that the approach we proposed can effectively mine typical treatment duration patterns from EmRs and recommend the appropriate treatment regimens for patients based on their admission information.

Purpose: To investigate the effectiveness of using no.e2 vec on journal citation networks to represent journals as vectors for tasks such as clustering, science mapping, and journal diversity ***/methodology/approach: no.e2 vec is used in a journal citation network to generate journal vector representations. Findings: 1. Journals are clustered based on the no.e2 vec trained vectors to form a science map. 2. The no.m of the vector can be seen as an indicator of the diversity of journals. 3. Using no.e2 vec trained journal vectors to determine the Rao-Stirling diversity measure leads to a better measure of diversity than that of direct citation *** limitations: All analyses use citation data and only focus on the journal *** implications: no.e2 vec trained journal vectors embed rich information about journals, can be used to form a science map and may generate better values of journal diversity ***/value: The effectiveness of no.e2 vec in scientometric analysis is tested. We propose a scheme for generating an entangled state for three atoms trapped in separate optical cavities that are coupled to each other through two optical fibers based on coherent driving and dissi- pation, which are induced by the classical fields and the decay of no.-local bosonic modes, respectively. In our scheme, the interaction time need no. be controlled strictly in the overall dynamics process, and the cavity field decay can be changed into a vital resource. The numerical simulation shows that the fidelity of the target state is insensitive to atomic spontaneous emission, and our scheme is good eno.gh to generate the W state of distant atoms with a high fidelity and purity. In addition, the present scheme can also be generalized to prepare the N-partite W state of distant atoms.

Quantized kernel least mean square(QKLmS) algorithm is an effective no.linear adaptive online learning algorithm with good performance in constraining the growth of network size through the use of quantization for input space. It can serve as a powerful tool to perform complex computing for network service and application. With the purpose of compressing the input to further improve learning performance, this article proposes a no.el QKLmS with entropy-guided learning, called EQ-KLmS. under the consecutive square entropy learning framework, the basic idea of entropy-guided learning technique is to measure the uncertainty of the input vectors used for QKLmS, and delete those data with larger uncertainty, which are insignificant or easy to cause learning errors. Then, the dataset is compressed. Consequently, by using square entropy, the learning performance of proposed EQ-KLmS is improved with high precision and low computational cost. The proposed EQ-KLmS is validated using a weather-related dataset, and the results demonstrate the desirable performance of our scheme.

With the development of self-interference(SI) cancelation techno.ogy, full-duplex(FD) communication becomes possible. FD communication can theoretically double the spectral efficiency. When the time slot(TS) resources are limited and the number of flows is large, the scheduling mechanism of the flows becomes more important. Therefore, the effectiveness of FD scheduling mechanism for the flows is studied in millimeter wave wireless backhaul network with the limited TS resources. We proposed a full duplex concurrent scheduling algorithm based on coalition game(FDCG) to maximize the number of flows with their QoS requirements satisfied. We transformed the problem of maximizing the number of flows with their QoS requirements satisfied into the problem of maximizing sum rate of concurrently scheduled flows in each slot. We obtained the scheduled flows with maximum sum rate in first slot by using coalition *** then with certain restrictions, the maximum sum rate of concurrently scheduled flows can also be achieved in subsequent time slots. The simulation results show that the proposed FDCG algorithm canachieve superior performance in terms of the number of flows that meet their QoS requirements and system throughput compared with other three algorithms.

Defect prediction assists the rational allocation of testing resources by detecting the potentially defective software modules before releasing products. When a project has no.historical labeled defect data, cross project defect prediction (CPDP) is an alternative technique for this scenario. CPDP utilizes labeled defect data of an external project to construct a classification model to predict the module labels of the current project. Transfer learning based CPDP methods are the current mainstream. In general, such methods aim to minimize the distribution differences between the data of the two projects. However, previous methods mainly focus on the marginal distribution difference but igno.e the conditional distribution difference, which will lead to unsatisfactory performance. In this work, we use a no.el balanced distribution adaptation (BDA) based transfer learning method to narrow this gap. BDA simultaneously considers the two kinds of distribution differences and adaptively assigns different weights to them. To evaluate the effectiveness of BDA for CPDP performance, we conduct experiments on 18 projects from four datasets using six indicators (i.e., F-measure, g-means, Balance, AUC, EARecall, and EAF-measure). Compared with 12 baseline methods, BDA achieves average improvements of 23.8%, 12.5%, 11.5%, 4.7%, 34.2%, and 33.7% in terms of the six indicators respectively over four datasets.
