Model reduction of fractional impedance spectra for time–frequency analysis of batteries, fuel cells, and supercapacitors

Joint time–frequency analysis is an emerging method for interpreting the underlying physics in fuel cells,batteries,and *** increase the reliability of time–frequency analysis,a theoretical correlation between frequency-domain stationary analysis and time-domain transient analysis is urgently *** present work formularizes a thorough model reduction of fractional impedance spectra for electrochemical energy devices involving not only the model reduction from fractional-order models to integer-order models and from high-to low-order rC circuits but also insight into the evolution of the characteristic time constants during the whole reduction *** following work has been carried out:(i)the model-reduction theory is addressed for typical Warburg elements and rC circuits based on the continued fraction expansion theory and the response error minimization technique,respectively;(ii)the order effect on the model reduction of typical Warburg elements is quantitatively evaluated by time–frequency analysis;(iii)the results of time–frequency analysis are confirmed to be useful to determine the reduction order in terms of the kinetic information needed to be captured;and(iv)the results of time–frequency analysis are validated for the model reduction of fractional impedance spectra for lithium-ion batteries,supercapacitors,and solid oxide fuel *** turn,the numerical validation has demonstrated the powerful function of the joint time–frequency *** thorough model reduction of fractional impedance spectra addressed in the present work not only clarifies the relationship between time-domain transient analysis and frequency-domain stationary analysis but also enhances the reliability of the joint time–frequency analysis for electrochemical energy devices.

In the development of Li-ion batteries(LIBs)with high energy/power density,long cycle-life,fast charging,and high safety,an insight into charge transfer reactions is *** electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)is regarded as a powerful diagnosis tool,it is not a direct but an indirect *** respect to this,some critical questions need to be answered:(i)why EIS can reflect the kinetics of charge transfer reactions;(ii)what the inherent logical relationship between impedance models under different physical scenes is;(iii)how charge transfer reactions compete with each other at multiple *** work aims at answering these questions via developing a theory framework so as to mitigate the blindness and uncertainty in unveiling charge transfer reactions in *** systematically answer the above questions,this article is organized into a three-in-one(review,tutorial,and research)type and the following contributions are made:(i)a brief review is given for impedance model development of the LIBs over the past half century;(ii)an open source code toolbox is developed based on the unified impedance model;(iii)the competive mechanisms of charge transfer reactions are unveiled based on the developed EIS-Toolbox@*** work not only clarifies theoretical fundamentals,but also provides an easy-to-use open source code for EIS-Toolbox@LIB to optimize fast charge/discharge,mitigate cycle aging,and improve energy/power density.

In recent years,reinforcement learning(rL)has emerged as a solution for model-free dynamic programming problem that cannot be effectively solved by traditional optimization *** has gradually been applied in the fields such as economic dispatch of power systems due to its strong selflearning and self-optimizing ***,existing economic scheduling methods based on rL ignore security risks that the agent may bring during exploration,which poses a risk of issuing instructions that threaten the safe operation of power ***,we propose an improved proximal policy optimization algorithm for sequential security-constrained optimal power flow(SCOPF)based on expert knowledge and safety layer to determine active power dispatch strategy,voltage optimization scheme of the units,and charging/discharging dispatch of energy storage *** expert experience is introduced to improve the ability to enforce constraints such as power balance in training process while guiding agent to effectively improve the utilization rate of renewable ***,to avoid line overload,we add a safety layer at the end of the policy network by introducing transmission constraints to avoid dangerous actions and tackle sequential SCOPF *** results on an improved IEEE 118-bus system verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

This paper aims to develop an automatic miscalibration detection and correction framework to maintain accurate calibration of LidAr and camera for autonomous vehicle after the sensor ***,a monitoring algorithm that can continuously detect the miscalibration in each frame is designed,leveraging the rotational motion each individual sensor ***,as sensor drift occurs,the projection constraints between visual feature points and LidAr 3-d points are used to compute the scaled camera motion,which is further utilized to align the drifted LidAr scan with the camera ***,the proposed method is sufficiently compared with two representative approaches in the online experiments with varying levels of random drift,then the method is further extended to the offline calibration experiment and is demonstrated by a comparison with two existing benchmark methods.

Mathematical Modeling and a Multiswarm Collaborative Optimization Algorithm for Fuzzy Integrated Process planning and Scheduling Problem

Considering both process planning and shop scheduling in manufacturing can fully utilize their complementarities,resulting in improved rationality of process routes and high-quality and efficient production. Hence,the study of Integrated Process planning and Scheduling (IPPS) has become a hot topic in the current production field. However,when performing this integrated optimization,the uncertainty of processing time is a realistic key point that cannot be neglected. Thus,this paper investigates a Fuzzy IPPS (FIPPS) problem to minimize the maximum fuzzy completion time. Compared with the conventional IPPS problem,FIPPS considers the fuzzy process time in the uncertain production environment,which is more practical and realistic. However,it is difficult to solve the FIPPS problem due to the complicated fuzzy calculating rules. To solve this problem,this paper formulates a novel fuzzy mathematical model based on the process network graph and proposes a MultiSwarm Collaborative Optimization Algorithm (MSCOA) with an integrated encoding method to improve the optimization. different swarms evolve in various directions and collaborate in a certain number of iterations. Moreover,the critical path searching method is introduced according to the triangular fuzzy number,allowing for the calculation of rules to enhance the local searching ability of MSCOA. The numerical experiments extended from the well-known Kim benchmark are conducted to test the performance of the proposed MSCOA. Compared with other competitive algorithms,the results obtained by MSCOA show significant advantages,thus proving its effectiveness in solving the FIPPS problem.

Potential risks of organic contaminated soil after persulfate remediation:Harmful gaseous sulfur release

Persulfate is considered a convenient and efficient remediation agent for organic contaminated ***,the potential risk of sulfur into the soil remediation by persulfate remains *** this study,glass bottles with different persulfate dosages and groundwater tables were set up to simulate persulfate remediation of organic pollutants(aniline).The results found sulfate to be the main end-product(83.0%–99.5%)of persulfate remediation after10 ***,H_(2)S accounted for 93.4%–99.4%of sulfur reduction end-products,suggesting that H_(2)S was the final fate of sulfur.H_(2)S was released rapidly after one to three days at a maximum concentration of 33.0 ppm,which is sufficient to make a person *** to the fitted curve results,H_(2)S concentration decreased to a safe concentration(0.15 ppm)after 20–85 ***,the maximum concentration of methanethiol reached 0.6 *** results indicated that secondary pollution from persulfate remediation could release harmful gases over a long ***,persulfate should be used more carefully as a remediation agent for soil contamination.

Multi-granularity sequence generation for hierarchical image classification

Hierarchical multi-granularity image classification is a challenging task that aims to tag each given image with multiple granularity labels *** methods tend to overlook that different image regions contribute differently to label prediction at different granularities,and also insufficiently consider relationships between the hierarchical multi-granularity *** introduce a sequence-to-sequence mechanism to overcome these two problems and propose a multi-granularity sequence generation(MGSG)approach for the hierarchical multi-granularity image classification ***,we introduce a transformer architecture to encode the image into visual representation ***,we traverse the taxonomic tree and organize the multi-granularity labels into sequences,and vectorize them and add positional *** proposed multi-granularity sequence generation method builds a decoder that takes visual representation sequences and semantic label embedding as inputs,and outputs the predicted multi-granularity label *** decoder models dependencies and correlations between multi-granularity labels through a masked multi-head self-attention mechanism,and relates visual information to the semantic label information through a crossmodality attention *** this way,the proposed method preserves the relationships between labels at different granularity levels and takes into account the influence of different image regions on labels with different *** on six public benchmarks qualitatively and quantitatively demonstrate the advantages of the proposed *** project is available at https://***/liuxindazz/mgs.

Flotation separation of feldspar from quartz using sodium fluosilicate as a selective depressant

The physical and chemical properties of feldspar and quartz are highly similar,thus they cannot be easily separated *** this work,the flotation separation of feldspar from quartz using sodium fluosilicate(Na_(2)SiF_(6);SF)as a selective depressant was ***,the influence mechanism of SF on the selective flotation separation of feldspar and quartz was investigated via flotation tests,chemical analysis of flotation solution,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIr),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and contact angle *** results of the flotation tests show that feld spar and quartz without SF treatment have good *** SF treatment,feldspar still has good floatability,whereas quartz has significantly reduced *** solution chemical analysis shows that the functional group plays an important role in depressing the quartz is[SiF_(6)]^(2-).FTIr,XPS and contact angle analysis results show that[SiF_(6)]^(2-)is adsorbed only on the surface of ***,a thin hydrophilic SiOF layer is generated on the surface,which interferes with the adsorption of the collector on the surface of the *** phenomenon leads to a significant reduction in quartz's ***,SF has a good ability to separate feldspar from quartz by flotation.

Atmospheric iron deposition in a megacity of northwest china:Solubility,speciation,and deposition fluxes

Atmospheric iron has crucial effects on biogeochemical cycles,atmospheric processing,global climate,and human *** this study,atmospheric dustfall samples were collected from six functional areas in Xi'an,china,from 2020 to *** spatiotemporal distributions and deposition fluxes of total and water-soluble(ws)Fe as well as the speciation and potential sources of ws-Fe were *** areas had the highest concentrations of total Fe and ws-Fe,which were mainly due to copious emissions of heavy metals during *** total Fe concentrations peaked in spring,primarily due to the substantial input of crustal dust,which also led to the lowest Fe solubility in this *** contrast,the highest levels of ws-Fe occurred during winter due to an increase in biomass *** the water-soluble forms,ws-Fe(II)was dominant and accounted for 74.8%of the total amount of *** dust was the main contributor to total Fe,whereas biomass burning primarily contributed to peak ws-Fe *** average total and ws-Fe deposition fluxes in Xi'an were the highest in spring and lowest in autumn,which were related to the distributions of the dustfall deposition fluxes and their Fe contents during these *** study provided a broader and comprehensive understanding of atmospheric iron deposition in Chinese urban area,which is of positive significance for understanding atmospheric chemistry and global climate change.

Empowering smart city situational awareness via big mobile data

Smart city situational awareness has recently emerged as a hot topic in research societies,industries,and governments because of its potential to integrate cutting-edge information technology and solve urgent challenges that modern cities *** example,in the latest five-year plan,the Chinese government has highlighted the demand to empower smart city management with new technologies such as big data and Internet of Things,for which situational awareness is normally the crucial first *** traditional static surveillance data on cities have been available for decades,this review reports a type of relatively new yet highly important urban data source,i.e.,the big mobile data collected by devices with various levels of mobility representing the movement and distribution of public and private agents in the *** especially focus on smart city situational awareness enabled by synthesizing the localization of hundreds of thousands of mobile software Apps using the Global Positioning System(GPS).This technique enjoys advantages such as a large penetration rate(∼50%urban population covered),uniform spatiotemporal coverage,and high localization *** first discuss the pragmatic requirements for smart city situational awareness and the challenges *** we introduce two suites of empowering technologies that help fulfill the requirements of(1)cybersecurity insurance for smart cities and(2)spatiotemporal modeling and visualization for situational awareness,both via big mobile *** main contributions of this review lie in the description of a comprehensive technological framework for smart city situational awareness and the demonstration of its feasibility via real-world applications.
