In-plane grain boundary induced defect state in hierarchical NiCo-LDH and effect on battery-type charge storage

Domain boundaries are regarded as the effective active sites for electrochemical energy storage materials due to defects enrichment ***,layered double hydroxides(LDHs)tend to grow into single crystalline nano sheets due to their unique two-dimentional(2D)lattice ***,much efforts were made on the designing hierarchical structure to provide more exposed electroactive sites as well as accelerate the mass ***,we demonstrate a strategy to introduce low angle grain boundary(LAGB)in the flakes of Ni/Co layered double hydroxides(NiCo-LDHs).These defect-rich nano flakes were self-assembled into hydrangea-like spheres that further constructed hollow cage *** the formation of hierarchical structure and grain boundaries are interpreted with the synergistic effect of Ni2+/Co2+ratio in an“etching-growth”*** domain boundary defect also results in the preferential formation of oxygen vacancy(Vo).Additionally,density functional theory(DFT)calculation reveals that Co substitution is a critical factor for the formation of adjacent lattice defects,which contributes to the formation of domains *** fabricated battery-type Faradaic NiCo-LDH-2 electrode material exhibits significantly enhanced specific capacitance of 899 C·g^(−1)at a current density of 1 A·g^(−1).NiCo-LDH-2//AC asymmetric capacitor shows a maximum energy density of 101.1 Wh·kg^(−1)at the power density of 1.5 kW·kg^(−1).

Study on Mo Diffusion in Double Glow Plasma Surface Molybdenizing of Ti_2AlNb

Ti2AlNb orthorhombic alloy is an attractive high temperature structural material for aero-industries due to its high specific strength and fracture toughness as well as excellent creep resistance. However, insufficient wear-resistance is the main drawback which restricts the actual uses of this alloy in many circumstances. A double glow plasma surface molybdenizing on Ti2AlNb alloy is carried out as an attempt to resolve this problem. This paper deals with the effects of key process parameters on the diffusion behavior of Mo. The composition distribution and microstructare of the alloying layer are analyzed by SEM, XRD and GDS. Micro-hardness distribution profile is measured along the distance from surface to center. The results indicate that both the temperature and the processing time have significant effects on the diffusion process. Finally, the dif- fusion coefficient at optimized temperature of 980℃ is calculated through regression analysis.

Diversity and Stability Study on Rice Mutants Induced in Space Environment

To further study the characteristics of changes on the molecular level of rice mutants induced in space environment, we analyzed proteins in leaves and seeds of four rice mutants （two high-tillering and two low-tillering） in the 8th and 9th generations after a 15-day spaceflight, and compared with their ground controls by two-dimentional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and reverse phase liquid chromatography （RPLC）. In addition, the albumin, globulin, prolamine, glutelin, and amylose of the mutant seeds were analyzed by RPLC and ultra-violet spectrometry. The results showed that the low-abundance proteins of leaves in the peak tillering stage are more likely to he induced compared with their corresponding controls. The albumin, globulin, and prolamine of the mutant seeds revealed changes when compared with their controls, and the characteristics of changes in different mu- tants were stably inherited in the 8th and 9th generations, suggesting that they can be used as biomarkers to identity the mutants induced by spaceflight. Moreover, two proteins （SSP9111 and SSP6302） were found to be expressed with high intensity （two-fold change） in different mutants, which were both correlated with photosystem according to mass spectrometry and database searching.

Development of A Deep Ocean Electric Autonomous Manipulator

This paper describes an underwater 3500 m electric manipulator （named Huahai-4E, stands for four functions deep ocean electric manipulator in China）, which has been developed at underwater manipulation technology lab in Huazhong University of Science and technology （HUST） for a test bed of studying of deep ocean manipulation technologies. The manipulator features modular integration joints, and layered architecture control system. The oil-filled, pressure-compensated joint is compactly designed and integrated of a permanent magnet （PM） brushless motor, a drive circuit, a harmonic gear and an angular feedback potentiometer. The underwater control system is based on a network and consisted of three embedded PC/104 computers which are used for servo control, task plan and target sensor respectively. They communicate through User Datagram Protocol （UDP） multicast communication in Vxworks OS. A supervisor PC with a virtual 3D GUI is fiber linked to underwater control system. Furthermore, the manipulator is equipped with a sensor system including a unique ultra-sonic probe array and an underwater camera. Autonomous grasp strategy based multi-sensor is studied. The results of watertight test in 40 MPa, joint＇s efficiency test and autonomous grasp experiments in tank are also presented.

General solution to diagonal model matching control of multiple-output-delay systems and its applications in adaptive scheme

This paper mainly studies the model matching problem of multiple-output-delay systems in which the reference model is assigned to a diagonal transfer function matrix.A new model matching controller structure is first developed,and then,it is shown that the controller is feasible if and only if the sets of Diophantine equations have common *** obtained controller allows a parametric representation,which shows that an adaptive scheme can be used to tolerate parameter variations in the *** resulting adaptive law can guarantee the global stability of the closed-loop systems and the convergence of the output error.

A novel low-loss four-bit bandpass filter using RF MEMS switches

This paper details the design and simulation of a novel low-loss four-bit reconfigurable bandpass filter that integrates microelectromechanical system(MEMS)switches and comb resonators.A T-shaped reconfigurable resonator is reconfigured in a'one resonator,multiple MEMS switches'configuration and used to gate the load capacitances of comb resonators so that a multiple-frequency filtering function is realized within the 7-16 GHz frequency *** addition,the insertion loss of the filter is less than 1.99 dB,the out-of-band rejection is more than 18.30 dB,and the group delay is less than 0.25 *** the other hand,the size of this novel filter is only 4.4 mm×2.5 mm×0.4 *** results indicate that this MEMS reconfigurable filter,which can switch 16 central frequency bands through eight switches,achieves a low insertion loss compared to those of traditional MEMS *** addition,the advantages of small size are obtained while achieving high integration.

Research on the Fragment Impact Resistance of a Composite Mast

Due to the unique structural mode and material property of a composite sandwich plate, related research such as fragment impact resistance of a composite mast is short of publication and urgent in this field. In this paper, the commonly accepted sandwich core board theory was modified. Damage caused by a fragment attack was simulated onto a sandwich plate model built with solid and shell elements. It was shown that shear failure and vast matrix cracking are the main reasons for outer coat damage, and tension failure and partial matrix cracking are the cause for inner coat damage. Additionally, according to complexities in actual sea battles, different work conditions of missile attacks were set. Ballistic limit values of different fragment sizes were also obtained, which provides references for enhancing the fragment impact resistance of a composite mast.

Low-voltage CMOS Folded-cascode Mixer

The folded-cascode structure is used to realize the low-voltage low-power consumption mixer, whose performance parameters have big influence on the navigation radio receiver＇s performance. Adopting the folded-cascode structure, the folded-cascode mixer （FCM） has a lower power supply voltage of 1.2 V and realizes the design trade-offs among the high transconductance, high linearity and low noise. The difficulties of realizing the trade-offs between the linearity and noise performance, the linearity and conversion gain, the conversion gain and noise performance are reduced. Fabricated in an radio frequency （RF） 0.18 μm CMOS process, the FCM has an active area of about 200 μm ×150 μm and consumes approximate 3.9 mW. The test results show that the FCM features a conversion gain （Gc） of some 14.5 dB, an input 1 dB compression point （Pin-1dB） of almost -13 dBm and a dual sideband （DSB） noise figure of around 12 dB. The FCM can be applied to the navigation radio receivers and electronic systems for aviation and aerospace or other related fields.

Repelling effects of Mg on diffusion of He atoms towards surface in SiC: Irradiation and annealing experiments combined with first-principles calculations

In this study,the effects of Mg on the formation of He bubbles and diffusion behavior of He atoms in cubic silicon carbide(3C–SiC)were investigated by irradiation and annealing experiments as well as first-principles *** results indicated that two damage bands were formed in He&Mg irradiated *** annealing,Mg could prevent He atoms from diffusing to the surface,resulting in the formation of the He bubbles in the deeper areas far from Mg-implanted regions,which is helpful in avoiding surface ***-principles calculations were then performed to explore the effects of Mg on the He behavior in *** solution energy,binding energy charge density,bond length,and crystal orbital Hamiltonian population of these elements were calculated to identify their *** results suggested that the binding capacity between He and Mg was weak,and Mg could increase the diffusion energy barrier of *** initio molecular dynamics(AIMD)simulation showed that Mg could make He in a high-energy unstable state,and force He atom to move toward the vacancy away from Mg,which explains the experimental results.

Flow stress of 2197 Al-Li alloy during hot compression deformation

The flow stress behavior of 2197 Al-Li alloy during hot compression deformation was studied in the strain rate range from 0.01 to 10 s-1 and the temperature range from 360 to 510 ℃ by isothermal compression test on a Gleeble-1500 thermal-mechanical simulator. The results show that the flow stress of 2197 Al-Li alloy decreases with the increase of deformation temperature and increases with the increase of strain rate. The peak flow stress during high temperature deformation can be represented by Z parameter in a hyperbolic sine function. The analytical expression of peak flow stress was fitted with the hot deformation activation energy of 260.6 kJ/mol.
