Low-Brightness Object Recognition Based on Deep Learning

This research focuses on addressing the challenges associated with image detection in low-light environments,particularly by applying artificial intelligence techniques to machine vision and object recognition *** primary goal is to tackle issues related to recognizing objects with low brightness *** this study,the Intel RealSense Lidar Camera L515 is used to simultaneously capture color information and 16-bit depth information *** detection scenarios are categorized into no.mal brightness and low brightness *** the system determines a no.mal brightness environment,no.mal brightness images are recognized using deep learning *** low-brightness situations,three methods are proposed for *** first method is the SegmentationwithDepth image(SD)methodwhich involves segmenting the depth image,creating amask from the segmented depth image,mapping the obtained mask onto the true color(RGB)image to obtain a backgroundreduced RGB image,and recognizing the segmented *** second method is theHDVmethod(hue,depth,value)which combines RGB images converted to HSV images(hue,saturation,value)with depth images D to form HDV images for *** third method is the HSD(hue,saturation,depth)method which similarly combines RGB images converted to HSV images with depth images D to form HSD images for *** experimental results,in no.mal brightness environments,the average recognition rate obtained using image recognition methods is 91%.For low-brightness environments,using the SD method with original images for training and segmented images for recognition achieves an average recognition rate of over 82%.TheHDVmethod achieves an average recognition rate of over 70%,while the HSD method achieves an average recognition rate of over 84%.The HSD method allows for a quick and convenient low-light object recognition *** research outcome can be applied to nighttime surveillance systems or nighttime road safety systems

magnetic and Crystalline microstructures of Fe-Pt-B Nano.omposite Ribbons

We investigate magnetic and crystalline microstructures of melt-spun (Fe0.675Pt0.325)100−xBx (x = 12, 14, 16, 18, 20) nano.omposite ribbons after optimal thermal treatment using a magnetic force microscope. The magnetic microstructures are characterized by darker spots adjacent to brighter ones in a sub-micro scale and in random distribution. It is found that the strength of the exchange coupling interaction between the crystals in the 10–100nm scale, implied by the maximum value (δm)max of the Henkel plot, could be roughly described by the ratio of the average width of the magnetic spots to the average crystal size for the ribbons. moreover, we find that the intrinsic coercivity jHc of the ribbons is sensitive to their crystal sizes, and the smaller , the higher jHc. Finally, by using roughness analysis, the curve of the root mean square values (δ)rms of the phase shift of the magnetic force images versus the boron content x is obtained, which is qualitatively consistent with that of the magnetization σ12 kOe of the ribbons versus x.

Earthquake damage potential and critical scour depth of bridges exposed to flood and seismic hazards under lateral seismic loads

many bridges located in seismic hazard regions suffer from serious foundation exposure caused by riverbed scour. Loss of surrounding soil significantly reduces the lateral strength of pile foundations. When the scour depth exceeds a critical level, the strength of the foundation is insufficient to withstand the imposed seismic demand, which induces the potential for unacceptable damage to the piles during an earthquake. This paper presents an analytical approach to assess the earthquake damage potential of bridges with foundation exposure and identify the critical scour depth that causes the seismic performance of a bridge to differ from the original design. The approach employs the well-accepted response spectrum analysis method to determine the maximum seismic response of a bridge. The damage potential of a bridge is assessed by comparing the imposed seismic demand with the strengths of the column and the foundation. The versatility of the analytical approach is illustrated with a numerical example and verified by the no.linear finite element analysis. The analytical approach is also demonstrated to successfully determine the critical scour depth. Results highlight that relatively shallow scour depths can cause foundation damage during an earthquake, even for bridges designed to provide satisfactory seismic performance.

From the viewpoint of service level agreements, the transmission accuracy rate is one of critical performance indicators to assess internet quality for system managers and customers. under the assumption that each arc＇s capacity is deterministic, the quickest path problem is to find a path sending a specific of data such that the transmission time is minimized. However, in many real-life networks such as computer networks, each arc has stochastic capacity, lead time and accuracy rate. Such a network is named a multi-state computer network. under both assured accuracy rate and time constraints, we extend the quickest path problem to compute the probability that d units of data can be sent through multiple minimal paths simultaneously. Such a probability named system reliability is a performance indicator to provide to managers for understanding the ability of system and improvement. An efficient algorithm is proposed to evaluate the system reliability in terms of the approach of minimal paths.

Unpredictability of Iteration Destination in an Integrate-and-Fire Circuit

Based on our previous study that discovered a new mechanism of the riddled-like basin appearance in piecewise continuous and no.invertible links of two conservative mappings, and the mechanism being the mixing of different attraction basins on a fat-fractal set, which was addressed as the forbidden region net [Phys. Rev. E 72 （2005） 025201（R）], we show numerically that the riddled-like attraction basins and the new mechanism appear in an integrate-and-fire circuit that can be described by piecewise continuous and no.invertible links of two dissipative mappings. This leads to the fact that vast increase of the precision of the initial condition results in practically no.improvement in predictability of the iteration destination. Predictability is usually characterized by examining how error probability in the prediction, f（ε）, scales with the precision ε under the initial condition. Typically, f（ε） - ε^α with 0 ≤ α ≤ 1 being the uncertainty exponent. For riddled-like basins, a should be zero, which is in good agreement with the numerical simulation results.

Emissions of C_2-C_(12) hydrocarbons in the Hsuehshan tunnel,taiwan

The concentrations of 56 hydrocarbons from C2 to C12 were measured simultaneously in the southbound bore,the no.thbound bore and the exhaust air shafts of the Hsuehshan tunnel near Yilan,taiwan for 12 days during 2007 and 2008.A total of 60 integrated air samples were collected using stainless steel canisters and analyzed using GC/FID and GC/*** five most abundant species in all samples were ethylene,acetylene,isopentane,propylene and *** exit/entrance ratios of total no.-methane hydrocarbons（NmHC） concentration were 7.8 and 4.8 for the southbound and no.thbound bores,***,the exhaust from the vertical shafts a？ects air quality in the *** most abundant species of emission rate（ER） was toluene（21.93-42.89 mg/sec）,followed by isopentane,ethylene,propylene and 1-butene,with ER ranging from 2.50 to 9.31 mg/*** species in the three exhaust air shafts showed that the reactivities of these emissions are similar to those of vehicle ***,the control of emissions in the vertical shafts of the vehicle tunnel will be important in the future.

The Boundedness of Calderón-Zygmund Operators by Wavelet Characterization

This article deals with the boundedness properties of Calderdn-Zygmund operators on Hardy spaces Hp（Rn）. We use wavelet characterization of H^P（R^n） to show that a Calderon-Zygmund operator T with T＊1 =0 is bounded on H6P（R^n）, n/n＋ε zju. edu. cn 〈 p 〈 1, where ε is the regular exponent of kernel of T. This approach can be applied to the boundedness of operators on certain Hardy spaces without atomic decomposition or molecular characterization.

Studying dynamical models of the core galaxy NGC 1399 with merging remnants

An investigation on the possible dynamical models of the core galaxy NGC 1399 is *** early-type galaxies are likely to be formed through merging events, remnant rings are considered in the modeling process.A numerical survey over three parameters is employed to obtain the best-fit models that are completely consistent with *** is found that the inner slope of the dark matter profile is cuspy for this core *** existence of remnant rings in best-fit models indicates a merging *** remnant ring explains the flattened surface brightness and thus could be the physical counterpart of the core structure of NGC 1399.
