Herein,copper-catalyzed 1,4-protosilylation and 1,4-protoborylation of enynic orthoesters have been developed.The enynic orthoesters as precursors of unstable enynic esters were applied to produce the functionalized 2,3-allenoate products.Meanwhile,the asymmetric 1,4-protosilylation of enynic orthoesters with Ph Me2Si-Bpin was also studied.The chiral monopyridine imidazoline ligand was efficient to provide the asymmetric 1,4-protosilylation products with high enantioselectivity.

Spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH)is a serious life-threatening event with the highest morbidity and mortality.ICH is a global burden affecting approximately 2 million people annually.It is estimated that more than one-third of ICH patients die within the first month of onset,and 40%of survivors remain disabled.However,there is an absence of evidence-proved therapies for ICH.

Apoptosis plays critical roles in multiple biological processes in multicellular organisms.Caspases are known as important participators and regulators of apoptosis.Here,four novel caspase genes of Spodoptera exigua were cloned and characterized which were designated as SeCasp-1,SeCasp-6,ScCasp-7 and SeCasp-S.Analysis of the putative encoded protein sequences of these SeCasps indicated that SeCasp-1 and ScCasp-7 were possible homologs of executor caspases;SeCasp-8 was a possible homolog of initiator caspases;and SeCasp-6 was a unique caspase of S.exigua that shares low similarity with all the identified insect caspases.Based on baculovirus expression system analyses,SeCasp-1 exhibited similar caspase activity to human caspase-1,-3,-4,-6,-8 and-9;SeCasp-6 presented similar caspase activity to human caspase-2,-3,-4,-6,-8 and-9;SeCasp-7 exhibited similar caspase activity to human caspase-2,-3 and-6;and SeCasp-8 presented similar caspase activity only to human caspase-8.Induction with diiTcrent chemicals revealed that SeCasp-1 showed extreme upregulation after 24 h in the treated fat body cell line(IOZCAS-Spex-II)of S.exigua.Developmental expression analysis revealed that SeCasp-1 was highly transcribed in the larval stages,while SeCasp-6,SeCasp-7,SeCasp-H were down-regulated.The in vivo detection of the relative expression levels of SeCasps in S.eixgua larvae inoculated with different pathogens suggested that SeCasp-J was sensitive to Bacillus thuringiensis infection and that SeCasp-6 was sensitive to baculovirus infection.SeCasp-7 and SeCasp-H showed slight changes under either in vitro chemical apoptosis induction or in vivo pathogen infection.

Melanization is an important innate immune defense mechanism of insects,which can kill invading pathogens.Most pathogens,for their survival and reproduction,inhibit the melanization of the host.Interestingly,our results suggested that after infection with Heliothis virescens ascovirus 3h(HvAV-3h),the speed of melanization in infected Spodoptera exigiia larval hemolymph was accelerated and that the phenoloxidase(PO)activity of hemolymph in larvae infected with HvAV-3h increased significantly(1.20-fold at 96 hpi,1.52-fold at 120 hpi,1.23-fold at 144 hpi,1.12-fold at 168 hpi).The transcription level of the gene encoding S.exigua prophenoloxidase-1(SePPO-1 gene)was upregulated dramatically in the fat body during the middle stage of infection.In addition,when melanization was inhibited or promoted,the replication of HvAV-3h was inhibited or promoted,respectively.In conclusion,infection with HvAV-3h can markedly induce melanization in the middle stage of infection,and melanization is helpful for HvAV-3h viral replication.

Percutaneous electrical nerve stimulation of an injured nerve can promote and accelerate peripheral nerve regeneration and improve function.When performing acupuncture and moxibustion,locating the injured nerve using ultrasound before percutaneous nerve stimulation can help prevent further injury to an already injured nerve.However,stimulation parameters have not been standardized.In this study,we constructed a multi-layer human forearm model using finite element modeling.Taking current density and activated function as optimization indicators,the optimal percutaneous nerve stimulation parameters were established.The optimal parameters were parallel placement located 3 cm apart with the injury site at the midpoint between the needles.To validate the efficacy of this regimen,we performed a randomized controlled trial in 23 patients with median nerve transection who underwent neurorrhaphy.Patients who received conventional rehabilitation combined with percutaneous electrical nerve stimulation experienced greater improvement in sensory function,motor function,and grip strength than those who received conventional rehabilitation combined with transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation.These findings suggest that the percutaneous electrical nerve stimulation regimen established in this study can improve global median nerve function in patients with median nerve transection.

In this paper,we explore the localization condition of Kalb-Ramond(KR)tensorial gauge field on a thick de Sitter(dS)brane.Following the localization mechanism in the work by Chumbes et al(2012 Phys.Rev.D 85085003),we analyze the localization of KR tensorial gauge field on a non-flat three-brane.We propose three kinds of coupling methods and two of them support the localization of zero mode.In addition,there exist resonant Kaluza-Klein modes on the thick dS brane.The effects of three parameters on the localization and the resonant mode for the KR field are also discussed.

Tensegrities made of tensile strings and compressed struts possess large strength-to-mass ratio values but tend to experience non-negligible vibration in dynamic environments because of poor structural damping.Here,we introduce particle dampers into a tensegrity prism to attenuate vibration,with the goal of establishing a lightweight and efficient approach of vibration suppression.To integrate the particle dampers and the tensegrity,a novel strut structure formed by assembling a solid strut and a hollow strut is devised,in which granular materials are inserted to develop a particle damper.The vibration attenuation performance of the tensegrity prism is investigated through exciter tests.According to the experimental parametric study,the influences of system parameters including excitation magnitude,the filling height of particles,particle size and the configuration of tensegrity prism on the vibration attenuation performance is analyzed.In addition,the experimental results regarding the dependence of the vibration attenuation on the system parameters are interpreted by the mechanism of collisions and frictions between particles and between particles and struts.The maximal vibration attenuation ratio of 76%can be achieved in the experiments.Thus,this research can provide insights into the design of lightweight tensegrity structures where vibration suppression is important,particularly in some dynamic environments.

Objective:To interpret the pharmacology of quercetin in treatment of atherosclerosis(AS).Methods:Fourteen apolipoprotein E-deficient(ApoE^(-/-))mice were divided into 2 groups by a random number table:an AS model(ApoE^(-/-))group and a quercetin treatment group(7 in each).Seven age-matched C57 mice were used as controls(n=7).Quercetin[20 mg/(kg·d)]was administered to the quercetin group intragastrically for 8 weeks for pharmacodynamic evaluation.Besides morphological observation,the distribution of CD11b,F4/80,sirtuin 1(Sirt1)and P21 was assayed by immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence to evaluate macrophage infiltration and tissue senescence.Ultra-performance liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-MSC/MS)was performed to study the pharmacology of quercetin against AS.Then,simultaneous administration of an apelin receptor antagonist(ML221)with quercetin was conducted to verify the possible targets of quercetin.Key proteins in apelin signaling pathway,such as angiotensin domain type 1 receptor-associated proteins(APJ),AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK),peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γcoactivator-1α(PGC-1α),tissue plasminogen activator(TPA),uncoupling protein 1(UCP1)and angiotensinⅡreceptor 1(AT1R),were assayed by Western blot.Results:Quercetin administration decreased lipid deposition in arterial lumen and improved the morphology of ApoE^(-/-)aortas in vivo.Quercetin decreased the densities of CD11b,F4/80 and P21 in the aorta and increased the level of serum apelin and the densities of APJ and Sirt1 in the aorta in ApoE^(-/-)mice(all Plite profiling identified 118 differential metabolites and showed that quercetin affected mainly glycerophospholipids and fatty acyls.Bioinformatics analysis suggested that the apelin signaling pathway was one of the main pathways.Quercetin treatment increased the protein expressions of APJ,AMPK,PGC-1α,TPA and UCP1,while decreased the AT1R level(all Plin pathway was blocked by ML221,the effect of quercetin was aba

Objective:To explore the protective effect of Huoxin Pill(HXP)on acute myocardial ischemia-reperfusion(MIRI)injury in rats.Methods:Seventy-five adult SD rats were divided into the sham-operated group,model group,positive drug group(diltiazem hydrochloride,DH),high dose group(24 mg/kg,HXP-H)and low dose group(12 mg/kg,HXP-L)of Huoxin Pill(n=15 for every group)according to the complete randomization method.After 1 week of intragastric administration,the left anterior descending coronary artery of the rat's heart was ligated for 45 min and reperfused for 3 h.Serum was separated and the levels of creatine kinase(CK),creatine kinase isoenzyme(CK-MB)and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),superoxide dismutase(SOD),and malondialdehyde(MDA),hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)and interleukin-1β(IL-1β)were measured.Myocardial ischemia rate,myocardial infarction rate and myocardial no-reflow rate were determined by staining with Evans blue and 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride(TTC).Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform(TCMSP)and Bioinformatics Analysis Tool for Molecular mechANism of Traditional Chinese Medicine(BATMAN)databases were used to screen for possible active compounds of HXP and their potential therapeutic targets;the results of anti-inflammatory genes associated with MIRI were obtained from GeneC ards,Drugbank,Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man(OMIM),and Therapeutic Target Datebase(TTD)databases was performed;Gene Ontology(GO)and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)enrichment were used to analyze the intersected targets;molecular docking was performed using AutoD ock Tools.Western blot was used to detect the protein expression of Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)/nuclear factor kappa-B(NFκB)/NOD-like receptor protein 3(NLRP3).Results:Compared with the model group,all doses of HXP significantly reduced the levels of LDH,CK and CK-MB(P<0.05,P<0.01);HXP significantly increased serum activity of SOD(P<0.05,P<0.01);all doses of HXP significantly reduced the levels of hs-CRP
