The valleys of two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs)offer a new degree of freedom for information *** take advantage of this valley degree of freedom,on the one hand,it is feasible to control valleys by utilizing different external stimuli,such as optical and electric *** the other hand,nanostructures are also used to separate the valleys by near-field ***,for both of the above methods,either the required low-temperature environment or low degree of coherence properties limit their further ***,we demonstrate that all-dielectric photonic crystal(PhC)slabs without in-plane inversion symmetry(C_(2) symmetry)can separate and route valley exciton emission of a WS2 monolayer at room *** with circularly polarized photonic Bloch modes of such PhC slabs,valley photons emitted by a WS_(2) monolayer are routed directionally and are efficiently separated in the far *** addition,far-field emissions are directionally enhanced and have long-distance spatial coherence properties.

Organic electrochemical transistors(OECTs)have garnered significant interest due to their ability to facilitate both ionic and electronic transport.A large proportion of research efforts thus far have focused on investigating high-performance materials that can serve as mixed ion doping and charge transport ***,relatively less attention has been given to the gateelectrode materials,which play a critical role in controlling operational voltage,redox processes,and stability,especially in the context of semiconductor-based OECTs working in accumulation ***,the demand for planarity and flexibility in modern bioelectronic devices presents significant challenges for the commonly used Ag/AgCl electrodes in ***,we report the construction of high-performance accumulation-mode OECTs by utilizing a gate electrode made of three-dimensional(3D)-printed graphene *** 3D-printed graphene oxide electrode incorporating one-dimensional(1D)carbon nanotubes,is directly printed using an aqueous-based ink and showcases exceptional mechanical flexibility and porosity properties,enabling high-throughput preparation for both top gates and integrated planar architecture,as well as fast ion/charge *** with high performance comparable to that of Ag/AgCl-gated OECTs are thus achieved and present promising feasibility for electrocardiograph(ECG)signal *** provides a promising choice for the application of flexible bioelectronics in medical care and neurological recording.

In recent years,graphics processing units(GPUs)have been applied to accelerate Monte Carlo(MC)simulations for proton dose calculation in ***,current GPU platforms,such as Compute Unified Device Architecture(CUDA)and Open Computing Language(OpenCL),suffer from cross-platform limitation or relatively high programming ***,the Taichi toolkit,which was developed to overcome these difficulties,has been successfully applied to high-performance numerical *** on the class II condensed history simulation scheme with various proton-nucleus interactions,we developed a GPU-accelerated MC engine for proton transport using the Taichi *** distributions in homogeneous and heterogeneous geometries were calculated for 110,160,and 200 MeV protons and were compared with those obtained by full MC simulations using *** gamma passing rates were greater than 0.99 and 0.95 with criteria of 2 mm,2%and 1 mm,1%,respectively,in all the benchmark ***,the calculation speed was at least 5800 times faster than that of TOPAS,and the number of lines of code was approximately 10 times less than those of CUDA or *** study provides a highly accurate,efficient,and easy-to-use proton dose calculation engine for fast prototyping,beamlet calculation,and education purposes.

The single locus complementary sex determination （sl-csd） gene is the primary gene determining the gender of honey bees （Apis spp.）. While the csd gene has been well studied in the Western honey bee （Apis mellifera）, and comparable data exist in both the Eastern honey bee （Apis cerana） and the giant honey bee （Apis dorsata）, no studies have been conducted in the red dwarf honey bee, Apisflorea. In this study we cloned the genomic region 3 of the A. florea csd gene from 60 workers, and identified 12 csd alleles. Analysis showed that similar to A. mellifera, region 3 of the csd gene contains a RS domain at the N terminal, a proline-rich domain at the C terminal, and a hypervariable region in the middle. However, the A. florea csd gene possessed a much higher level of nucleotide diversity, compared to A. mellifera, A. cerana and Apis dorsata. We also show that similar to the other three Apis species, in A. florea, nonsynonymous mutations in the csd gene are selectively favored in young alleles.

The key to reduce shell breakout in the continuous casting process is to control shell thickness in the mold. A numerical simulation on the turbulent flow and heat transfer coupled with solidification in the slab mold using the volume of fluid （VOF） model and the enthalpy-porosity scheme was conducted and the emphasis was put upon the flow effect on the shell thickness profiles in longitudinal and transverse directions. The results show that the jet acts a stronger impingement on the shell of narrow face, which causes a zero-increase of shell thickness in a certain range near the impingement point. The thinnest shell on the slab cross-section locates primarily in the center of the narrow face, and secondly near the comer of the wide face. Nozzle optimization can obviously increase the shell thickness and make it more uniform.

Layered nickel oxides have been focused with intense research interests as high-performance lithium-ion batterie(LIB)***,it is hard to obtain few layered nickel oxides material directly as it easily forms bulk material with the strong interaction between the *** this work,two-dimensional(2 D)nickel-based coordination polymers were successfully prepared according to aqueous phase copolymerization *** then uniform carbondoped NiO nanosheets were successfully obtained from facile solution assembly and post-thermal *** detailed electrochemical testing shows that the uniform NiO nanocrystals encapsulated into porous N-doped carbon(NiO@NC)nanosheets present much higher rate capability with the discharge specific capacity of 782.7 mAh·g^(-1) at high current density of 2.0 A·g^(-1) than pure NiO(690 mAh·g^(-1)).It also shows long-term cycling performance with 91%retention after 50 cycles at 1.0 A·g^(-1).The high rate capability,cycling stability and the easy synthesis make NiO@NC nanosheets as a promising candidate for LIB anode and build up new way for the fabrication of metal oxides anode materials.

Traumatic brain injury induces potent inflammatory responses that can exacerbate secondary blood-brain barrier（BBB） disruption, neuronal injury, and neurological dysfunction. Dexmedetomidine is a novel α2-adrenergic receptor agonist that exert protective effects in various central nervous system diseases. The present study was designed to investigate the neuroprotective action of dexmedetomidine in a mouse traumatic brain injury model, and to explore the possible mechanisms. Adult male C57 BL/6 J mice were subjected to controlled cortical impact. After injury, animals received 3 days of consecutive dexmedetomidine therapy（25 μg/kg per day）. The modified neurological severity score was used to assess neurological deficits. The rotarod test was used to evaluate accurate motor coordination and balance. Immunofluorescence was used to determine expression of ionized calcium binding adapter molecule-1, myeloperoxidase, and zonula occluden-1 at the injury site. An enzyme linked immunosorbent assay was used to measure the concentration of interleukin-1β（IL-1β）, tumor necrosis factor α, and IL-6. The dry-wet weight method was used to measure brain water content. The Evans blue dye extravasation assay was used to measure BBB disruption. Western blot assay was used to measure protein expression of nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-like receptor family pyrin domain-containing 3（NLRP3）, caspase-1 p20, IL-1β, nuclear factor kappa B（NF-κB） p65, occluding, and zonula occluden-1. Flow cytometry was used to measure cellular apoptosis. Results showed that dexmedetomidine treatment attenuated early neurological dysfunction and brain edema. Further, dexmedetomidine attenuated post-traumatic inflammation, up-regulated tight junction protein expression, and reduced secondary BBB damage and apoptosis. These protective effects were accompanied by down-regulation of the NF-κB and NLRP3 inflammasome pathways. These findings suggest that dexmedetomidine exhibits neuroprotective effects

AIM:To investigate the in vivo hepatoprotective effects and mechanisms of Gentiana manshurica Kitagawa (GM) in acetaminophen (APAP)-induced liver injury in ***: GM (200, 150 or 50 mg/kg body weight) or N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC; 300 mg/kg body weight) was administrated orally with a single dose 2 h prior to APAP (300 mg/kg body weight) injection in ***: APAP treatment significantly depleted hepatic glutathione (GSH), increased serum aspartate aminot ransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and malonyldialdehyde (MDA) and 4-hydroxynonenal levels, and decreased hepatic activity of glutathione peroxidase (GSH-px) and superoxide dismutase (SOD). However, the pretreatment of GM signif icantly alleviated APAP-induced oxidative stress by increasing GSH content, decreasing serum ALT, AST and MDA, and retaining the activity of GSH-px and SOD in the liver. Furthermore, GM pretreatment can inhibit caspase-3 activation and phosphorylation of c-Jun-NH2-terminal protein kinase 2 (JNK1/2) and extracellular signalregulated kinase (ERK). GM also remarkably attenuated hepatocyte apoptosis confirmed by the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated dUTP nick end-labeling ***: Hepatoprotective effects of GM against APAP-induced acute toxicity are mediated either by preventing the decline of hepatic antioxidant status or its direct anti-apoptosis capacity. These results support that GM is a potent hepatoprotective agent.
