Estimation and prediction of plastic waste annual input into the sea from China

Marine plastic debris has been a pervasive issue since the last century, and research on its sources and fates plays a vital role in the establishment of mitigation measures. However, data on the quantity of plastic waste that enters the sea on a certain timescale remain largely unavailable in China. Here, we established a model using material flow analysis method based on life cycle assessment to follow plastic product from primary plastic to plastic waste with statistical data and monitoring data from accurate sources. This model can be used to estimate and forecast the annual input of plastic waste into the sea from China until 2020. In 2011, 0.547 3-0.751 5 million tons of plastic waste entered the seas in China, with a growth rate of 4.55% per year until 2017. And the amount will decrease to 0.257 1 to 0.353 1 million tons in 2020 under the influence of governmental management. The amount of plastic waste discharged from coastal areas calculated in this study was much larger than that from river, thus it is suggested to strengthen the governance and control of plastic waste in coastal fishery activities in China in order to reduce the amount of marine plastic waste input.

The complete sequences of the mitochondrial DNA genomes of Panthera tigris,Panthera pardus,and Panthera uncia were determined using the polymerase chain reaction *** lengths of the complete mitochondrial DNA sequences of the three species were 16990,16964,and 16773 bp,*** of the three mitochondrial DNA genomes included 13 protein-coding genes,22 tRNA,two rRNA,one O L R,and one control *** structures of the genomes were highly similar to those of Felis catus,Acinonyx jubatus,and Neofelis *** phylogenies of the genus Panthera were inferred from two combined mitochondrial sequence data sets and the complete mitochondrial genome sequences,by MP (maximum parsimony),ML (maximum likelihood),and Bayesian *** results showed that Panthera was composed of Panthera leo,***,***,Panthera onca,***,and ***,which was included as the most basal *** phylogeny within Panthera genus was *** (*** (*** (***,(***,***)))).The divergence times for Panthera genus were estimated based on the ML branch lengths and four well-established calibration *** results showed that at about 11.3 MYA,the Panthera genus separated from other felid species and then evolved into the several species of the *** detail,*** was estimated to be founded about 8.66 MYA,*** about 6.55 MYA,*** about 4.63 MYA,and *** about 4.35 *** these estimated times were older than those estimated from the fossil *** divergence event,evolutionary process,speciation,and distribution pattern of ***,a species endemic to the central Asia with core habitats on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and surrounding highlands,mostly correlated with the geological tectonic events and intensive climate shifts that happened at 8,3.6,2.5,and 1.7 MYA on the plateau during the late Cenozoic period.

Anomaly Models of Spatial Structures for Copper-Molybdenum Ore Deposits and their Application

This paper discusses the enrichment and depletion regularities for porphyry coppermolybdenum ore deposits in different regions and varied deposit genetic types in the same area, taking three porphyry copper-molybdenum ore deposits （i.e., the Chengmenshan in Jiangxi, Wunugetushan in Inner Mongolia, Baishantang in Gansu） and two copper deposits in Gansu Province （the Huitongshan skarn deposit and Gongpoquan composite deposit） as case studies. The results show that porphyry Cu-Mo deposits or skarn copper deposits include both enrichment of the ore-forming elements and associated elements, and depletion of some lithophile dispersed elements, rare earth elements （REE） and some major elements. And the depleted elements vary with deposits, having generality and their own features. On a deposit scale, the positive anomalies of enriched elements and negative anomalies of depleted elements follow in a sequence to comprise regular anomaly models of spatial structures. The exploration in the Tongchang deposit in Jiangxi and Huitongshan deposit in Gansu suggests that anomaly models play a key role in the identification of mineral occurrences and deposits compared to one single enriched element anomaly. And the anomaly models exert a critical effect on the optimization of prospecting targets and their potential evaluation.

Effects of oxygen potential and flux composition on dephosphorization and rephosphorization of molten steel

The dephosphorization experiments of low phosphorus containing steel by CaO-based and BaO-based fluxes were carried out. The effects of the oxygen potential in molten steel and the BaO content in the slag on dephosphorization and rephosphorization of molten steel were analyzed. The results showed that the dephosphorization ratio of more than 50% and the ultra-low phosphorus content of less than 0.005% in steel were obtained by the three kinds of dephosphorization fluxes as the oxygen potential of molten steel higher than 400×10^-6. Rephosphorization of molten steel was serious as the oxygen content of molten steel lower than 10×10^-6. BaO-based fluxes can improve the dephosphorization effect and reduce the phosphorus pick-up effectively under the condition of weak deoxidization of molten steel （the oxygen potential is about 100×10^-6）, but can not prevent rephosphorization under the condition of deep deoxidization of molten steel （the oxygen potential less than 10×10^-6）.

Geochemical Features and Metallogenic Prediction of the Caixiashan-Weiquan Area in the East Tianshan Region

The Caixiashan-Weiquan area is an important ore concentration area in the eastern Tianshan metallogenic belt. Firstly, this paper studies geochemical features of 1564 samples of 1：200000 stream sediments of the Matoutan mapsheet, where the Caixiashan and Weiquan deposits are located. Processing, analysis and explanation of exploration geochemical data play an important role in the procedure of finding the ore, which are related to whether the measured elements content of geochemical samples can effectively guide the work of mineral exploration. As a highly nonlinear dynamical system, the neural network is more analogous to the human brains in terms of principles and features compared with conventional geochemical approaches. It can adapt itself to the environment, sum up laws, complete pattern recognition. Secondly, the authors used the Kohonen neural network to classify all samples based on 10 mineralization elements of stream sediment samples in order to determine possible mineral ores, reduce the scope of ore targets and study indicator elements of the ninth group of samples, which is the mostly closest to the deposit. The results show that the neural network can delineate metallogenic prospective areas and is effective in the discovery of deep geochemical information.

Geochemical maps are of great value in mineral *** geochemical anomaly maps provide comprehensive information about mapping assemblages of element concentrations to possible types of mineralization/ore,but vary depending on expert's knowledge and *** paper aims to test the capability of deep neural networks to delineate integrated anomaly based on a case study of the Zhaojikou Pb-Zn deposit,Southeast *** hundred fifty two samples were collected,and each sample consisted of 26 variables covering elemental composition,geological,and tectonic *** first,generative adversarial networks were adopted for data ***,DNN was trained on sets of synthetic and real data to identify an integrated ***,the results of DNN analyses were visualized in probability maps and compared with traditional anomaly maps to check its *** showed that the average accuracy of the validation set was 94.76%.The probability maps showed that newly-identified integrated anomalous areas had a probability of above 75%in the northeast *** also showed that DNN models that used big data not only successfully recognized the anomalous areas identified on traditional geochemical element maps,but also discovered new anomalous areas,not picked up by the elemental anomaly maps previously.
