A multiscale adaptive framework based on convolutional neural network: Application to fluid catalytic cracking product yield prediction

Since chemical processes are highly non-linear and multiscale, it is vital to deeply mine the multiscale coupling relationships embedded in the massive process data for the prediction and anomaly tracing of crucial process parameters and production indicators. While the integrated method of adaptive signal decomposition combined with time series models could effectively predict process variables, it does have limitations in capturing the high-frequency detail of the operation state when applied to complex chemical processes. In light of this, a novel Multiscale Multi-radius Multi-step Convolutional Neural Network(Msrt Net) is proposed for mining spatiotemporal multiscale information. First, the industrial data from the Fluid Catalytic Cracking(FCC) process decomposition using Complete Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition with Adaptive Noise(CEEMDAN) extract the multi-energy scale information of the feature subset. Then, convolution kernels with varying stride and padding structures are established to decouple the long-period operation process information encapsulated within the multi-energy scale data. Finally, a reconciliation network is trained to reconstruct the multiscale prediction results and obtain the final output. Msrt Net is initially assessed for its capability to untangle the spatiotemporal multiscale relationships among variables in the Tennessee Eastman Process(TEP). Subsequently, the performance of Msrt Net is evaluated in predicting product yield for a 2.80 × 10～6 t/a FCC unit, taking diesel and gasoline yield as examples. In conclusion, Msrt Net can decouple and effectively extract spatiotemporal multiscale information from chemical process data and achieve a approximately reduction of 30% in prediction error compared to other time-series models. Furthermore, its robustness and transferability underscore its promising potential for broader applications.

A method to interpret fracture aperture of rock slope using adaptive shape and unmanned aerial vehicle multi-angle nap-of-the-object photogrammetry

The aperture of natural rock fractures significantly affects the deformation and strength properties of rock masses,as well as the hydrodynamic properties of fractured rock *** conventional measurement methods are inadequate for collecting data on high-steep rock slopes in complex mountainous *** study establishes a high-resolution three-dimensional model of a rock slope using unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)multi-angle nap-of-the-object photogrammetry to obtain edge feature points of *** opening morphology is characterized using coordinate projection and *** central axis is determined using vertical measuring lines,allowing for the interpretation of aperture of adaptive fracture *** feasibility and reliability of the new method are verified at a construction site of a railway in southeast Tibet,*** study shows that the fracture aperture has a significant interval effect and size *** optimal sampling length for fractures is approximately 0.5e1 m,and the optimal aperture interpretation results can be achieved when the measuring line spacing is 1%of the sampling *** fractures in the study area generally have larger apertures than shear fractures,and their tendency to increase with slope height is also greater than that of shear *** aperture of tensile fractures is generally positively correlated with their trace length,while the correlation between the aperture of shear fractures and their trace length appears to be *** of different orientations exhibit certain differences in their distribution of aperture,but generally follow the forms of normal,log-normal,and gamma *** study provides essential data support for rock and slope stability evaluation,which is of significant practical importance.

To better understand the failure behaviours and strength of bolt-reinforced blocky rocks,large scale extensive laboratory experiments are carried out on blocky rock-like specimens with and without rockbolt *** results show that both shear failure and tensile failure along joint surfaces are observed but the shear failure is a main controlling factor for the peak strength of the rock mass with and without *** rockbolts are necked and shear deformation simultaneously happens in bolt reinforced rock *** the joint dip angle increases,the joint shear failure becomes more *** number of rockbolts has a significant impact on the peak strain and uniaxial compressive strength(UCS),but little influence on the deformation modulus of the rock *** the Winkler beam model to represent the rockbolt behaviours,an analytical model for the prediction of the strength of boltreinforced blocky rocks is *** agreement between the UCS values predicted by proposed model and obtained from experiments suggest an encouraging performance of the proposed *** addition,the performance of the proposed model is further assessed using published results in the literature,indicating the proposed model can be used effectively in the prediction of UCS of bolt-reinforced blocky rocks.

We have found recently that two-step intrinsic hydroxyl radical(·OH)-dependent chemiluminescence(CL)could be produced by carcinogenic tetrahaloquinone and H_(2.O_(2..However,the first-step CL was too fast to clearly detect the stepwise generation of·OH and CL,and to distinguish the exact dividing point between the first-step and second-step *** we found that,extremely clear two-step intrinsic CL could be produced by the relative slow reaction of tetrabromohydroquinone(TBHQ)with H_(2.O_(2.,which was directly dependent on the two-step·OH ***,the second-step,but not the first-step CL production of TBHQ/H_(2.O_(2.(CRET donor)was markedly enhanced by fluorescein(a typical xanthene dye,CRET acceptor)through a unique chemiluminescence resonance energy transfer(CRET)*** novel CRET system of TBHQ/H_(2.O_(2./fluorescein was successfully applied for the sensitive detection of TBHQ with the detection limit as low as 2.5μmol/*** findings will help to develop more sensitive and highly efficient CL or CRET systems and specific CL sensor to detect the carcinogenic haloquinones,which may have broad environmental applications.

Effects of different moxibustion durations on lumbar disk herniation:a clinical study

Objective:To explore the best duration of moxibustion on lumbar disk herniation(LDH).Methods:A total of 88 patients were randomly divided into control group and 15-min,30-min,and 45-min moxibustion *** control group was treated with conventional therapy,while the other 3 groups were intervened with different moxibustion *** back pain,dysfunction,lumbar function,and effective rates were evaluated before,in the first week and second week of ***:In low back pain,compared with the control group,the score of the 15-min group had no significant difference,but it was significantly lower in the 30-min and 45-min *** dysfunction and lumbar function,compared with the control group,the scores of the 15-min,30-min,and 45-min groups were significantly higher,and the scores of the 30-min and 45-min groups were significantly higher,but there was no significant difference between the 30-min and 45-min *** effective rates,there was no significant difference between the control group and 15-min group;the effective rates of the 30-min and 45-min groups were significantly higher than those of the control ***:Moxibustion has good therapeutic effect on LDH with specific moxibustion time.

Mechanism of local solidification time variations with melt rate during vacuum arc remelting process of 8Cr4Mo4V high-strength steel

A 2. axisymmetric numerical model was established to investigate the variations of molten pool with different melt rates during the vacuum arc remelting of 8Cr4Mo4V high-strength steel,and the ingot growth was simulated by dynamic mesh *** results show that as the ingot grows,the molten pool profile changes from shallow and flat to V-shaped,and both the molten pool depth and the mushy width ***,the variation of both the molten pool shape and the mushy width melt rate is clarified by the thermal equilibrium *** melt rate increases,both the molten pool depth and the mushy width *** is caused by the increment in sensible heat stored in the ingot due to the limitation of the cooling capacity of the *** nonlinear increment in sensible heat leads to a nonlinear increase in the mushy *** addition,as melt rate increases,the local solidification time(LST)of ingot decreases obviously at first and then *** melt rate is controlled in a suitable range,LST is the lowest and the secondary dendrite arm spacing of the ingot is the smallest,which can effectively improve the compactness degree of 8Cr4Mo4V high-strength steel.

Theoretical and experimental investigations on single-atom catalysis:Pt_(1)/FeO_(x) for water-gas shift reaction

Oxide-supported metal single-atom catalysts(SACs)have exhibited excellent catalytic performance for water-gas shift(WGS)***,we report the single-atom catalyst Pt1/FeOx exhibits excellent medium temperature catalytic performance for WGS reactions by the density functional theory(DFT)calculations and experimental *** calculations indicate that H_(2.O molecules are easily dissociated at oxygen vacancies,and the formed*OH and*O are adsorbed on Pt1 single atoms and the adjacent O atoms,*** studying four possible reaction mechanisms,it is found that the optimal WGS reaction pathway is proceeded along the carboxyl mechanism(pathway III),in which the formation of*COOH intermediates can promote the stability of Pt_(1)/FeO_(x) SAC and the easier occurrence of WGS *** energy barrier of the rate-determining step during the entire reaction cycle is only 1.16 eV,showing the high activity for the medium temperature WGS reaction on Pt_(1)/FeO_(x) SAC,which was verified by experimental ***,the calculated turnover frequencies(TOFs)of CO_(2.and H_(2.formation on Pt1/FeOx at 610 K(337℃)can reach up to 1.14×10^(-3)s^(-1)·site^(-1)through carboxyl *** this work,we further expand the application potential of Pt1/FeOx SAC in WGS reaction.
