Genome-wide identification and characterization of HSP gene superfamily in whitefly (Bemisia tabacl)and expression profiling analysis under temperature stress

Heat shock proteins (HSP)are essential molecular chaperones that play important roles in the stress stimulation of *** tabaci,a phloem feeder and invasive species,can cause extensive crop damage through direct feeding and transmission of plant *** we employed comprehensive genomics approaches to identity HSP superfamily members in the Middle East Asia Minor 1 whitefly *** total,we identified 26 Hsp genes,including three Hsp90,17 Hsp70,one Hsp60 and five sHSP (small heat shock protein)*** HSP gene superfamily of whitefly is expanded compared with the other five insects surveyed *** gene structures among the same families are relatively ***,the motif compositions and secondary structures of BtHsp proteins were *** addition,quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis showed that the expression patterns of BtHsp gene superfamily were diverse across different tissues of *** Hsp genes were induced or repressed by thermal stress (40℃)and cold treatment (4℃)in *** the expression of BtHsp70-6 significantly decreased the survival rate of whitefly under 45℃.All the results showed the Hsps conferred thermo-tolerance or cold-tolerance to whiteflies that protect them from being affected by detrimental temperature *** observations highlighted the molecular evolutionary properties and the response mechanism to temperature assaults of Hsp genes in whitefly.

Acid fibroblast growth factor reduces rat intestinal mucosal damage caused by ischemia-reperfusion insult

AIM： To detect the effects of acid fibroblast growth factor （aFGF） on apoptosis and proliferation of intestinal epithelial cells in differentiation or proliferation status to explore the protective mechanisms of aFGF. METHODS： Wistar rats were randomly divided into sham-operated control group （C, n = 6）, intestinal ischemia group （I, n = 6）, aFGF treatment group （A, n =48） and intestinal ischemia-reperfusion group （R, n =48）. Apoptosis of intestinal mucosal cells was determined with terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferasemediated dUTP-biotin nick-end labeling （TUNEL） technique. Proliferating cell nuclear antigen （PCNA） protein expression and distribution were detected with immunohistochemical method. Plasma levels of D-lactate were determined with modified Brandts method. RESULTS： In A group, administration of exogenous aFGF could improve intestinal histological structure and decrease plasma D-lactate levels at 2-12 h after the reperfusion compared with R group. The apoptotic rates and PCNA protein expressions were not increased until 2 h after reperfusion and were maximal at 12 h. After reperfusion for 2-12 h, the apoptotic rates were gradually augmented along the length of jejunal crypt-villus units. Administration of aFGF could significantly reduce the apoptotic response at 2-12 h after reperfusion （P〈0.05）. Apoptosis rates in villus and crypt epithelial cells in A group at 12 h after reperfusion were （62.5±5.5）% and （73.2±18.6）% of those in R group, respectively. Treatment of aFGF could apparently induce protein expression of PCNA in intestinal mucosal cells of A group compared with R group during 2-22 h after reperfusion （P〈0.05）. There were approximately 1.3- and 1.5-times increments of PCNA expression levels in villus and crypt cells in A group at 12 h after reperfusion compared with R group, respectively. Environmental enrichment combined with fasudil promotes motor function recovery and axonal regeneration after stroke

Fasudil,a Rho-associated protein kinase(ROCK)inhibitor,has a protective effect on the central nervous *** addition,environmental enrichment is a promising technique for inducing the recovery of motor impairments in ischemic stroke *** present study aimed to explore whether environmental enrichment combined with fasudil can facilitate motor function recovery and induce cortical axonal regeneration after ***,a mouse model of ischemic cerebral stroke was established by photochemical embolization of the left sensorimotor *** solution(10 mg/kg per day)was injected intraperitoneally for 21 days after the photothrombotic *** environmental enrichment intervention was performed on days 7-21 after the photothrombotic *** results revealed that environmental enrichment combined with fasudil improved motor function,increased growth-associated protein 43 expression in the infarcted cerebral cortex,promoted axonal regeneration on the contralateral side,and downregulated ROCK,p-LIM domain kinase(LIMK)1,and p-cofilin *** combined intervention was superior to *** findings suggest that environmental enrichment combined with fasudil treatment promotes motor recovery after stroke,at least partly by stimulating axonal *** underlying mechanism might involve ROCK/LIMK1/cofilin pathway *** study was approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Fudan University,China(approval No.20160858A232)on February 24,2016.

Estimation for ammonia emissions at county level in China from 2013 to 2018

Ammonia (NH_(3)) can interact with other trace chemicals in the atmosphere,significantly impacting atmospheric chemistry and global climate *** is a largely agricultural country with high consumption of nitrogen fertilizer and large livestock herds,resulting in high NH_(3) *** this study,a comprehensive county-level inventory of Chinese NH_(3) emissions from 2013 to 2018 was *** on previous research,an estimate of NH_(3) emissions from household coal combustion was added to the *** estimation of emissions from open biomass burning was improved by using a method based on fire radiative energy (FRE).The total NH_(3) emissions in China increased from 2013 (9.64 Tg) to 2015 (9.75 Tg),and then decreased to 9.12 Tg in *** from fossil fuels reached a peak value in 2018,accounting for 8.4%of total emissions,while fertilizer application and livestock waste were responsible for fewer emissions than in previous years,accounting for 27.7%and 49.9%of the total from non-fossil fuel sources,*** highest emission rates were in central and southwestern ***,NH_(3) emissions peaked in spring and *** inventory had a 1-km spatial resolution and a monthly temporal resolution,which confirmed its suitability for global and regional air quality simulations.

Emerging data from metabolites-relating trails in cancers demonstrate that a common mechanism of resistance to many novel classes of immune therapeutics is the emergence of immune escape due to the reprogramming of cellular *** them,current work about end-metabolites mostly focuses on the intersection between lactate acid,adenosine,reactive oxygen species(ROS),and tumour immune *** this article,we aim to review the evidence to date for the dynamic interplay between the three end-metabolites and tumour immune escape for potential approaches to overcome obstacles in the efficacy and durability of immune cancer *** have organized known end-metabolites-associated immune escape mechanisms into three hallmarks:(1)decreased immunogenicity of cancer cells which constitutes defective antigen presentation and the attenuated expression of costimulatory molecules on tumour cells,(2)immunosuppressive microenvironment with aberrant angiogenesis inhibits the differentiation,maturation,and immune deviation of immune cells while drives the activation of immunosuppressive cells by immune-suppressive mediators(cytokines and other factors),(3)immune tolerance retained by inhibitory molecules and depletion of immune cells.
