This study employs advanced electrochemical and surface characterization techniques to investigate the impact of electrochemical hydrogen charging on the corrosion behavior and surface film of the Ti-6Al-4V *** findings revealed the formation ofγ-TiH andδ-TiH_(2) hydrides in the alloy after hydrogen *** hydrogen charging resulted in more significant degradation of the alloy microstructure,leading to deteriorated protectiveness of the surface *** trend was further confirmed by the electrochemical measurements,which showed that the corrosion resistance of the alloy progressively worsened as the hydrogen charging time was ***,this work provides valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying the corrosion of Ti-6Al-4V alloy under hydrogen charging conditions.

Sliding friction-induced subsurface structures and severe surface oxidation can be the major causes influencing the wear resistance of ductile metallic ***,we demonstrated the role of subsurface and surface structures in enhancing the wear resistance of an equiatomic metastable CoCrNiCu high-entropy alloy(HEA).The CoCrNiCu HEA is composed of a CoCrNi-rich face-centered cubic(FCC)dendrite phase and a Cu-rich FCC inter-dendrite *** Cu-rich nano-precipitates are formed and distributed uniformly inside the dendrites after tuning the distribution and composition of the two phases by thermal *** the formation of nano-precipitates decreases the hardness of the alloy due to the loss of solid solution strengthening,these nano-precipitates can be deformed to form continuous Cu-rich nanolayers during dry sliding,leading to a self-organized nano-laminated microstructure and extensive hardening in the *** addition,the nano-precipitates can facilitate the formation of continuous and compacted glaze layers on the worn surface,which are also beneficial for the reduction of the wear rate of *** current work can be extended to other alloy systems and might provide guidelines for designing and fabricating wear-resistant alloys in general.

Currently,light-transmitting,energy-saving,and electromagnetic shielding materials are essential for reducing indoor energy consumption and improving the electromagnetic ***,we developed a cellulose composite with excellent optical transmittance that retained the natural shape and fiber structure of *** modified whole bamboo possessed an impressive optical transmittance of approximately 60%at 6.23 mm,illuminance of 1000 luminance(lux),water absorption stability(mass change rate less than 4%),longitudinal tensile strength(46.40 MPa),and surface properties(80.2 HD).These were attributed to not only the retention of the natural circular hollow structure of the bamboo rod on the macro,but also the complete bamboo fiber skeleton template impregnated with UV resin on the ***,a multilayered device consisting of translucent whole bamboo,transparent bamboo sheets,and electromagnetic shielding film exhibited remarkable heat insulation and heat preservation performance as well as an electromagnetic shielding performance of 46.3 *** impressive optical transmittance,mechanical properties,thermal performance,and electromagnetic shielding abilities combined with the renewable and sustainable nature,as well as the fast and efficient manufacturing process,make this bamboo composite material suitable for effective application in transparent,energy-saving,and electromagnetic shielding buildings.

Carbonate deposition is a main inorganic carbon sink in lakes, which varies depending on climate change and internal lake dynamics. Research on the relationship between lake carbonate and climate will help to understand mechanisms of carbon cycle in lacustrine systems. The approach of this study is to explicitly link carbonate formation with Holocene long-term climate change and lake evolution in a paleo-lake （Zhuye Lake）, which is a terminal lake of a typical inland drainage basin in arid China. This paper presents analysis on grain-size, carbonate content and mineralogical composition of sediment samples from different locations of Zhuye Lake. The results show that calcite and aragonite are two main components for the lake carbonate, and the carbonate enrichment is associated with lake expansion during the Late Glacial and early to middle Holocene. Holocene lake expansion in arid regions of China is usually connected with high basin-wide precipitation that can strengthen the basin-wide surface carbonate accumulation in the terminal lake. For this reason, Zhuye Lake plays a role of carbon sinks during the wet periods of the Holocene.

Double perovskites(DPs)with Cs_(2)AgInCl_(6) composition,as one of the lead-free perovskites,have been in the spotlight owing to their intriguing optical properties,namely,self-trapped exciton(STE)emission and dopant-induced ***,the current DPs still face the challenge of low photoluminescence efficiency and cannot be applied in ***,we synthesize the Bi^(3+)and Eu^(3+)codoped Cs_(2)AgInCl_(6) DPs,which displays enhanced STE and Eu^(3+)ions characteristic *** results indicate that the Eu^(3+)ions mainly substitute the In sites and can increase the radiative recombination rate and exciton binding energy of STEs,which is discovered that Eu^(3+)ions can promote the localization of STEs by breaking the inversion symmetry of the Cs_(2)AgInCl_(6) *** existence of Bi^(3+)ions decreases the excitation(absorption)energy,provides a new absorption channel,and increases the energy transfer rate to Eu^(3+)*** adjusting the Bi^(3+)and Eu^(3+)concentrations,a maximum photoluminescence quantum yield of 80.1%is obtained in 6%Eu^(3+)and 0.5%Bi^(3+)codoped Cs_(2)AgInCl_(6) ***,the high-quality single-component white-light-emitting diodes based on Bi^(3+)and Eu^(3+)codoped Cs_(2)AgInCl_(6) DPs and a 410-nm commercial ultraviolet chip are fabricated with the optimum color rendering index of 89,the optimal luminous efficiency of 88.1 lm/W,and a half-lifetime of 1,493 *** work puts forward an effective lanthanide and transition metals codoping strategy to design single-component white-light emitter,taking a big step forward for the application lead-free DPs.

Stable isotopes of carbon and oxygen variations in foraminiferal shells have been widely used in paleo-environment ***,studies about the shells of benthic foraminifera in methanehydrate-bearing sediments as reliable geochemical proxies to reconstruct the potential methane release events in the geologic past are *** this study,we present the stable carbon and oxygen isotopes of fossil benthic foraminifera including one epifaunal species(Cibicidoides wuellerstorfi)and two infaunal species(Bulimina mexicana and Uvigerina peregrina)from the Site U1447 of IODP 353 Expedition to trace methane events in the Andaman Sea,where one of the thickest and deepest gas hydrate stability zones was ***δ^(13)C values of benthic foraminifera show that there are eight distinct intervals with negative values in the last~10 Myr,interpreted as a record of long-term fluctuations in methane *** of these methane events occurred during the glacial sea-level lowstands in the last~1.1 ***,therefore,infer that the trigger mechanism for these events might be the hydrate destabilization caused by sea level *** methane events that occurred at~2.11 and~5.93 Ma are more likely related to the sudden changes in sedimentation,either slide events or marked variations in sedimentation rate.

Pyropia yezoensis is one of the most economical seaweed species in *** how to make full use of mature *** and exploring new ways to increase the value of its resources are important subjects of research for the development of the laver breeding *** this study,we provide a simple method to comprehensively extract the bioactive substances from *** characteristics,functional properties,and antioxidant activities of two types of biopolymer extract from *** were studied and analyzed *** on the characterization of water-soluble concentrate(WSC)and alkali-soluble concentrate(ASC),obtained via chemical analysis,including Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer(FT-IR)and Thermal Gravimetric Analyzer(TGA),and diff erential scanning calorimetry(DSC),they both had typical polysaccharide and protein characteristics and steady *** showed higher nitrogen solubility,water holding capacity,and foaming *** could not only be used as a protein supplement,but also performed well in improving the properties of foods in terms of water holding and *** emulsifying activity and oil-holding capacity of WSC were observed to be higher than those of ***,WSC has the potential to be used as an emulsifi ***,WSC and ASC have radical scavenging capacity in vitro,which broadens the direction of their application.

An efficient dual stereocontrot in iridium-catalyzed hydrogenation of 1-substituted 3,4-dihydroisoquinolines was realized by tuning the amount of N-bromosuccinimide using chiral ligand of single configuration, providing both enantiomers of 1-substituted 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinolines with up to 89% ee （S） and 98% ee＊（R）, respectively. Dual activation role of N-bromosuccinimide is proposed to be responsible for the reversal of enantioselectivity under two hydrogenation conditions.
