The conventional computing architecture faces substantial chal-lenges,including high latency and energy consumption between memory and processing *** response,in-memory computing has emerged as a promising alternative architecture,enabling computing operations within memory arrays to overcome these *** devices have gained significant attention as key components for in-memory computing due to their high-density arrays,rapid response times,and ability to emulate biological *** these devices,two-dimensional(2D)material-based memristor and memtransistor arrays have emerged as particularly promising candidates for next-generation in-memory computing,thanks to their exceptional performance driven by the unique properties of 2D materials,such as layered structures,mechanical flexibility,and the capability to form *** review delves into the state-of-the-art research on 2D material-based memristive arrays,encompassing critical aspects such as material selection,device perfor-mance metrics,array structures,and potential ***,it provides a comprehensive overview of the current challenges and limitations associated with these arrays,along with potential *** primary objective of this review is to serve as a significant milestone in realizing next-generation in-memory computing utilizing 2D materials and bridge the gap from single-device characterization to array-level and system-level implementations of neuromorphic computing,leveraging the potential of 2D material-based memristive devices.

Thermal Transport across Polyethylene Chains

In polymers,heat could transfer efficiently along the long polymer chains;however due to the finite length of polymer chains,such heat eventually has to pass across the chain-chain boundary which is less effective in heat *** paper investigated the thermal transport across polyethylene chains with molecular dynamics(MD)*** transport across two polymer chains overlapping with each other is studied with different chain length(75 nm,150 nm and 251 nm)and chain-chain overlapping *** results show that with increasing overlapping length,the total thermal conductance across the two chains exhibits maximum value,which is due to the increasing thermal resistance along the chains and the decreasing inter-chain thermal boundary ***,we show that the total thermal resistance can be decomposed into two *** coupling term related to the inter-chain thermal resistance tends to saturate even with long overlapping length.

Oxidation damage zone formed in creep fatigue crack growth of GH4169 alloy at 650℃

In the creep fatigue crack growth of GH4169 alloy,oxidation is a prominent damage source,which is mainly manifested as the oxidation damage zone in front of crack *** order to investigate the property of the oxidation damage zone formed in the creep fatigue crack growth,crack growth tests of directly aged GH4169 alloy were conducted at 650℃ in air under various load *** tests were performed to observe the damage characteristics at crack *** tests were systematically executed to quantify the dependency of oxidation damage zone size on load and holding *** crack propagation of the GH4169 alloy has a close relationship with grain boundary oxidation at 650℃.An oxidation damage zone in front of crack tip includes intergranular microcracks and oxidised but uncracked grain *** size has been calculated from transient crack growth rate and described as a function of maximum stress intensity factor and holding *** on oxidation damage zone size,a novel model has been developed to predict the creep fatigue crack growth rate of the GH4169 alloy at 650℃.

Low-temperature chemistry in plasma-driven ammonia oxidative pyrolysis

Ammonia is gaining increasing attention as a green alternative fuel for achieving large-scale carbon emission reduction. Despite its potential technical prospects, the harsh ignition conditions and slow flame propagation speed of ammonia pose significant challenges to its application in engines. Non-equilibrium plasma has been identified as a promising method, but current research on plasma-enhanced ammonia combustion is limited and primarily focuses on ignition characteristics revealed by kinetic models. In this study, low-temperature and low-pressure chemistry in plasma-assisted ammonia oxidative pyrolysis is investigated by integrated studies of steady-state GC measurements and mathematical simulation. The detailed kinetic mechanism of NH_(3) decomposition in plasma-driven Ar/NH_(3) and Ar/NH_(3)/O_(2) mixtures has been developed. The numerical model has good agreements with the experimental measurements in NH_(3)/O_(2) consumption and N_(2)/H_(2) generation, which demonstrates the rationality of modelling. Based on the modelling results, species density profiles, path flux and sensitivity analysis for the key plasmaproduced species such as NH_(2), NH, H_(2), OH, H, O, O(^(1)D), O_(2)(a^(1)△_(g)), O_(2)(b^(1)∑_(g)^(+)), Ar^(*), H^(-), Ar^(+), NH_(3)^(+), O_(2)^(-) in the discharge and afterglow are analyzed in detail to illustrate the effectiveness of the active species on NH_(3) excitation and decomposition at low temperature and relatively higher E/N values. The results revealed that NH_(2), NH, H as well as H_(2) are primarily generated through the electron collision reactions e + NH_(3)→ e + NH_(2)+ H, e + NH_(3)→ e + NH + H_(2) and the excited-argon collision reaction Ar^(*) + NH_(3)+ H → Ar + NH_(2)+ 2H, which will then react with highly reactive oxidative species such as O_(2)^(*), O^(*), O, OH, and O_(2) to produce stable products of NOx and H_(2)O. Investigation of natural ventilation performance of large space circular coal storage dome

Large space circular coal storage dome(LSCCSD)offers an environmental and dependable alternative to open stockpiles,and it has been consequently widely applied in ***,due to the lack of scientific guidelines,its natural ventilation performance is lower than *** ventilation potential strongly depends on the roof geometry and opening mode,which have not yet been investigated for *** paper presents a detailed evaluation of the impact of dome geometry(rise span ratio),opening height,and opening modes on the ventilation performance of *** evaluation is based on computational fluid dynamics(CFD)methods and is validated by available wind tunnel *** employed three evaluation indicators,which are wind pressure coefficient,effective ventilation rate,and wind speed *** results demonstrate that the rise span ratio has a significant effect on the wind pressure difference and the effective ventilation rate increases by approximately 9%–42%with a single-annular *** double-annular openings are set in a strong positive pressure zone,the effective ventilation rate increases by 100%and the average wind speed ratio increases by 50%.When it is compared with single one with similar opening height,the effective ventilation rate increases by 25%.The optimum natural ventilation performance for LSCCSD is achieved at a rise span ratio of *** addition,the lateral middle opening is kept higher than the ridge top of the coal *** proposed evaluation approach and design parameters provided instructive information in the building design and ventilation control for LSCCSDs.

Age stability of La(Fe,Si)_(13) hydrides with giant magnetocaloric effects

The Curie temperatures(T_(C))of La_(0.7)Ce_(0.3)Fe_(13-x-y)Mn_(x)Si_(y)compounds that are hydrogenated to saturation are raised to near room *** age stability was inves-tigated for the fully hydrogenated La_(0.7)Ce_(0.3)Fe_(11.5-x)Mn_(x)Si_(1.5) *** result indicates that the H content will slowly decrease in the hydrides,leading to a decrease in T_(C).However,no age splitting is observed after the hydrides are held at room temperature for two years,indicating the excellent age stability of the *** structural analysis by neutron diffrac-tion shows that Mn atoms preferentially substitute Fe in the 96i *** T_(C)of La_(0.7)Ce_(0.3)Fe_(11.55-y)Mn_(y)Si_(1.45)hydrides can be adjusted to the desired working temperature by regulating Mn content based on the linear relationship between T_(C)and Mn ***,the La_(0.7)Ce_(0.3)Fe_(11.55-y)Mn_(y)Si_(1.45)hydrides exhibit a giant magnetic entropy change of 15 J·kg^(-1)·K^(-1) under a low magneticfield change of 0-1 *** a result,the giant magnetocaloric effect,linearly adjustable T_(C),and excel-lent age stability make the La_(0.7)Ce_(0.3)Fe_(11.55-y)Mn_(y)Si_(1.45)hydrides be one of the ideal candidates for room temperature magnetic refrigerants.

Opportunities for ionic liquid-based electrolytes in rechargeable lithium batteries

Ionic liquids(ILs)have been deemed as promising electrolyte materials for building safer and highly-performing rechargeable lithium batteries,owing to their negligible volatility,low-flammability,and high thermal stability,*** profound structural designability of IL cations and anions allows relatively facile regulations of their key physical(e.g.,viscosities,and ionic conductivities)and electrochemical(e.g.,anodic,and cathodic stabilities)properties,and therefore fulfills the critical requirements stipulated by various battery *** this review,a historical overview on the development of ILs for nonaqueous electrolytes is provided,and the correlations between chemical structures and the basic properties of ILs are ***,the key achievements in the field of IL-based electrolytes are scrutinized,including liquid electrolytes,polymer electrolytes,and composite polymer *** on literature reports and our previous work in this field,possible strategies to improve the performance of IL-based electrolytes and their rechargeable batteries are *** present work not only provides the status quo in the development of IL-based electrolytes but also inspires the structural design of ILs for other kinds of rechargeable batteries(e.g.,sodium,potassium,zinc batteries).

Process mineralogy approach to optimize curing-leaching in vanadiumbearing stone coal processing plants

The purpose of this study is to apply process mineralogy as a practical tool to further understand and analyze the reasons for low leaching rates in the curing-leaching process of vanadium-bearing stone coal and to find a solution or improvement to optimize the leaching *** vanadium-bearing stone coal with the V2O5 mass fraction of 0.88%as the research object,the effects of particle size,mineral composition,and sulfuric acid curing on the feed,intermediate,and final products of curing-leaching were *** main vanadium-bearing minerals in the feed samples included sericite/illite,montmorillonite,kaolinite,limonite,and *** the penetration depth analysis of sulfuric acid,the reason for the high vanadium content in the coarse leaching residue(0.205%V2O5)was found,mainly due to the poor curing effect and incomplete washing after ***,thorough washing after sieving and further optimizing the curing process are *** vanadium content of the fine leaching residue(0.078%)was low and the curing-leaching effect was ***,the vanadium content in the thickened residue(0.296%)exceeded that in the fine leaching residue,which was attributed to the neutralization reaction in the#1 *** solve this problem,the neutralization and thickening processes should be performed in separate *** analysis and detection of key products is helpful for identifying problems and improving the curing-leaching circuit process.

Effect of operational and geometric parameters on the hydrodynamics of a Wurster coater:A CFD-DEM study

A coupled CFD-DEM method was used to study the hydrodynamics of a Wurster ***,the CFD part of the model was validated by the accurate prediction of the pressure drops over a pseudo-2D fluidized bed under various gas *** effect of gas velocity,gap height,tube length and batch volume of the particles on the cycle time and the residence time of the particles was thoroughly *** central jet gas velocity ui was found to speed up the particle cycle but undermine the coating *** gas velocity at the horizontal transport zone u2 was able to promote the horizontal transport of the particles but should not be too high,otherwise,it would obstruct the normal falling back of the particles in the downward *** gap heights would decrease the coating efficiency but tube length had little impact on *** increment of batch volume would commonly abase the cycle time and the working efficiency under a given *** de-fluidization problem arose when the batch volume increased to 550 ***,this problem could be swept out by the optimization of u1 and *** a mixture of different sizes,the coarse particles enjoyed higher coating efficiency and could travel closer to the *** may shield the fine particles from getting enough coating liquids,and thus coarse particles and fine particles were not recommended to get coated in the same batch.
