A 2-Stage Strategy for.non-Stationary Signal Prediction and recovery Using Iterative Filter.ng and neural network

Predicting the future information and recover.ng the missing data for time series are two vital tasks faced in various application *** are often subjected to big challenges,especially when the signal is nonlinear and nonstationary which is common in *** this paper,we propose a hybrid 2-stage approach,named IF2Fnn,to predict(including short-term and long-term predictions)and recover the general types of time *** the first stage,we decompose the original non-stationary series into several“quasi stationary”intr.nsic mode functions(IMFs)by the iterative filter.ng(IF)*** the second stage,all of the IMFs are fed as the inputs to the factorization machine based neural network model to perform the prediction and *** test the strategy on five datasets including an artificial constructed signal(ACS),and four real-world signals:the length of day(LOD),the northern hemisphere land-ocean temperature index(nHLTI),the troposphere monthly mean temperature(TMMT),and the national association of securities dealers automated quotations index(nASDAQ).The results are compared with those obtained from the other prevailing *** experiments indicate that under the same conditions,the proposed method outperforms the others for prediction and recovery according to various metrics such as mean absolute error(MAE),root mean square error(rMSE),and mean absolute percentage error(MAPE).

Weak Convergence Theorems for Strict Pseudo-contractions in Banach Spaces

In this paper, it is shown that there is a gap in the paper [Chidume, C. E., Shahzad, n.： Weak convergence theorems for a finite family of strict pseudo-contractions. nonlinear Anal., 72, 1257–1265（2010）], consequently, the main results of the paper do not hold in uniformly smooth Banach spaces. Meanwhile, it is also shown that the main results（Lemma 3.4, Theorems 3.5–3.6, 3.8–3.9） in the paper [Cholamjiak, P., Suantai, S.： Weak convergence theorems for a countable family of strict pseudo-contractions in Banach spaces. Fixed Point Theory Appl., 2010, Article ID 632137, 16 pages（2010）] do not hold in Lpfor p 〉 3. Finally, some modified results are presented in the setting of uniformly smooth and uniformly convex Banach spaces which include Lpfor p ≥ 2 as special cases. Furthermore, our arguments are also differ.nt from the ones given by the authors above.

Continuous flow removal of acid fuchsine by dielectric barrier discharge plasma water bed enhanced by activated carbon adsorption

Continuous processes which allow for large amount of wastewater to be treated to meet drainage standards while reducing treatment time and energy consumption are urgently needed. In this study, a dielectric barrier discharge plasma water bed system was designed and then coupled with gr.nular activated carbon (GAC) adsorption to rapidly remove acid fuchsine (AF) with high efficiency. Effects of feeding gases, treatment time and initial concentration of AF on removal efficiency were investigated. results showed that compared to the n2 and air plasmas treatments, O2 plasma processing was most effective for AF degradation due to the str.ng oxidation ability of generated activated species, especially the OH radicals. The addition of GAC significantly enhanced the removal efficiency of AF in aqueous solution and shorten the required time by 50%. The effect was attributed to the ability of porous carbon to trap and concentrate the dye, increasing the time dye molecules were exposed to the plasma discharge zone, and to enhance the production of OH radicals on/in GAC to boost the degradation of dyes by plasma as well as in situ regenerate the exhausted GAC. The study offers a new opportunity for continuous effective remediation of wastewater contaminated with organic dyes using plasma technologies.

regularity for Quasi-linear Degenerate Elliptic Equations with VMO Coefficients

In this paper we establish an interior regularity of weak solution for quasi-linear degenerate elliptic equations under the subcritical growth if its coefficient matrix A（x, u） satisfies a VMO condition in the variable x uniformly with respect to all u, and the lower order item B（x, u, △↓u） satisfies the subcritical growth （1.2）. In particular, when F（x） ∈ L^q（Ω） and f（x） ∈ L^γ（Ω） with q,γ 〉 for any 1 〈 p 〈＋∞, we obtain interior HSlder continuity of any weak solution of （1.1） u with an index κ = min{1 - n/q, 1 - n/γ}.

removal of Cr from tannery sludge by bioleaching method

Bioleaching of Cr（Ⅲ） from tannery sludge using the mixture of ingenuous ir.n- and sulfur-oxidizing bacteria was investigated in batch flasks. Experiments involved the adaptation of indigenous ir.n-and sulfur-oxidizing bacteria, the pre-acidification the sludge to pH 6.0 and the addition of energy substrates. results showed the inoculation of mixture of ingenuous ir.n- and sulfur-oxidizing bacteria and co-addition of Fe^2 and elemental sulfur accelerated acid production and increase of oxidation-reduction potential originating from the bio-oxidation of Fe2^＋ and elemental sulfur. Dissolved Cr concentration increased concomitant with pH decreased in the sludge and reached its maximum removal of 95.6%. The amelioration of the odor of bioleached sludge could be noted. However, 20.4%o of n, 24.5% of P and 14.3% of organic matter were lost in the bioleaching process. The residual Cr content in the leached tannery sludge was acceptable for use in agriculture. This study had shown the feasibility of applying the bioleaching process, developed for sewage sludge, to tannery sludge with high Cr.

A Local Hlder Estimate of(K_1, K_2)-Quasiconformal Mappings between Hypersurfaces

In this paper, we prove a local HSlder estimate of （K1, K2）-quasiconformal mappings be- tween n-dimensional hypersurfaces of rn＋l under an assumption of bounded mean curvature of the original hypersurface M. With some new ingredients of the isoperimetric inequality and the co-area formula on manifolds, we extend Simon＇s work of quasiconformal mappings on surfaces of r3 to the setting of n-dimensional hypersurfaces of rn＋1.

For the generalized Beltrami system with two characteristic matrices, we deal with the regularity of its very weak solutions in the Sobolev class (1 r n). By changing the generalized Beltrami system into a class of a divergent elliptic system with nonhomogeneous items, we obtain that each of its very weak solutions is essentially a classical weak solution of a usual Sobolev class. Furthermore, we also establish a higher regularity of its weak solution if the regularity hypotheses of two characteristic matrices are improved.

Assume that S is an almost excellent extension of r. Using functors Homr（S,-） and -×r S, we establish some connections between classes of modules lr and lS, cotorsion pairs （Ar, Br） and （AS, BS）. If lS is a T-extension or （and） H-extension of lr, we show that lS is a （resp., monomorphic, epimorphic, special） preenveloping class if and only if so is lr. If （AS, BS） is a TH- extension of （Ar, Br）, we obtain that （AS, BS） is complete （resp., of finite type, of cofinite type, hereditary, perfect, n-tilting） if and only if so is （Ar, Br）.

Alloys used as bear.ngs in aircraft landing gear are required to reduce friction and wear as well as improve the load‐carrying capability due to the increased aircraft ***–15ni–8Sn–0.8nb alloy is well known for possessing good mechanical and wear properties that satisfy such *** this study,the microstructure,mechanical properties,and grease‐lubricated sliding wear behavior of Cu–15ni–8Sn–0.8nb alloy with 0.8 wt%nb are *** nanoscale nbni3 and nbni2Sn compounds can str.ngthen the alloy through the Orowan str.ngthening mechanism.A Stribeck‐like curve is plotted to illustrate the relationship among friction coefficient,normal load,and sliding velocity and to analyze the grease‐lubricated *** wear rate increases with normal load and decreases with sliding velocity,except at 2.58 m/s.A wear mechanism map has been developed to exhibit the dominant wear mechanisms under various friction *** the normal load is 700 n and the sliding velocity is 2.58 m/s,a chemical reaction between the lubricating grease and friction pairs occurs,resulting in the failure of lubricating grease and an increase in wear.

Generalization of α-Decay Cluster-Model to nuclei near Spherical and Deformed Shell Closures

The cluster model of α-decay is extended to the regions around doubly magic spherical nucleus 208pb and around deformed shell closure 270Hs, respectively. The effects of spherical shell closures (n = 126 and Z = 82) on α-decay are investigated by introducing an n-dependent α-preformation factor and a Z-dependent one inspired by a microscopic model. Good agreement between the theoretical α-decay half-lives and the measured ones is obtained for the spherical nuclei near the doubly magic nucleus 208 Pb, where the nuclear shell effect is included in the expression of α-preformation factor. The cluster model is also generalized for the decay of deformed nuclei. The br.nching ratios of a-decays from the ground state of a par.nt nucleus to the ground state (0+) of its deformed daughter.nucleus and to the first excited state (2+) are .calculated in the framework of the cluster model. The results indicate that a measurement of c spectroscopy is a feasible method to extract the information of nuclear deformation of superheavy nuclei around the deformed nucleus 270 Hs.
