Benmelstobart plus anlotinib in patients with EGFR-positive advanced NSCLC after failure of EGFR TKIs therapy: a phase I/II study

The effect of immune-based therapies on patients with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-positive advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) resistant to EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) therapy remains unclear. The ALTER-L038 study aimed to evaluate efficacy and safety of a chemotherapy-free combination of benmelstobart, an anti-programmed cell death ligand 1 antibody, and anlotinib, a small-molecule multi-target anti-angiogenic TKI, in EGFR-positive advanced NSCLC patients who progressed after EGFR TKI therapy. Patients were enrolled in a phase I/II study. In phase I (dose-escalation), patients received anlotinib (8, 10, 12 mg) plus benmelstobart (1200 mg). Recommended phase II dose, determined during phase I, was used in phase II dose-expansion cohort. Primary endpoints were maximum tolerable dose in phase I and progression-free survival (PFS) in phase II. At the data cutoff date (March 10, 2024), 55 patients were enrolled in phase II dose-expansion cohort. Median PFS of patients included in phase II cohort was 9.0 months, median overall survival was 28.9 months, objective response rate was 25.5%, disease control rate was 87.3%, and median duration of response was 19.8 months. Incidence of grade >= 3 treatment-related adverse events in study population was 25.5% (14/55), whereas grade >= 3 immune-related adverse events occurred in 10.9% (6/55) of patients. Benmelstobart plus anlotinib showed promising anti-tumor efficacy with tolerable safety profile, supporting the value of further development of this convenient chemotherapy-free regimen for patients with EGFR-positive advanced NSCLC who progressed after EGFR TKI therapy. Two new benzopyran derivatives,1-[（rel 2S,3R）-3,5,7-trihydroxy-3,4-dihydro-2H-chromen-2-yl]ethanone（1）,and 1-[（rel 25,35）-3,5,7-trihydroxy-3,4-dihydro-2H-chromen-2-yl]ethanone（2）,along with four known flavonoids,prodelphinidin C,prodelphinidin B3,（-）-epi-gallocatechin and（＋）-gallocatechin,were isolated from the stems of Gouania leptostachya ***. tonkinensis *** structures were determined on the basis of spectroscopic methods including HR-ESI-MS,1D and 2D *** C exhibited significant inhibitory activity forα-glucosidase.

Spheroids of Endothelial Cells and Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells Promote Cell Migration in Hyaluronic Acid and Fibrinogen Composite Hydrogels

Cell migration plays a pivotal role in many pathological and physiological *** far,most of the studies have been focused on 2-dimensional cell adhesion and ***,the migration behaviors of cell spheroids in 3D hydrogels obtained by polymerization of methacrylated hyaluronic acid(HA-MA)and fibrinogen(Fg)with different ratios were *** Fg could be released to the medium gradually along with time prolongation,achieving the dynamic change of hydrogel structures and *** types of cell spheroids,i.e.,endothelial cell(EC),smooth muscle cell(SMC),and EC-SMC spheroids,were prepared with 10,000 cells in each,whose diameters were about 343,108,and 224μm,*** composite hydrogels with an intermediate ratio of Fg allowed the fastest 3D migration of cell *** ECs-SMCs migrated longest up to 3200μm at day 14,whereas the SMC spheroids migrated slowest with a distance of only~400μm at the same period of *** addition of free RGD or anti-CD44 could significantly reduce the migration distance,revealing that the cell-substrate interactions take the major roles and the migration is mesenchymal ***,addition of anti-N-cadherin and MMP inhibitors also slowed down the migration rate,demonstrating that the degradation of hydrogels and cell-cell interactions are also largely involved in the cell ***-PCR measurement showed that expression of genes related to cell adhesion and antiapoptosis,and angiogenesis was all upregulated in the EC-SMC spheroids than single EC or SMC spheroids,suggesting that the use of composite cell spheroids is more promising to promote cell-substrate interactions and maintenance of cell functions.

Experimental Study of Wastewater Treatment of Reactive Dye by Phys-Chemistry Method

Wastewater, which involves easy-soluble reactive dyes, especially non-degradable dyes, is very difficult to decolor efficiently by normal processes such as coagulation process and biological treatment. The high chromaticity se- riously hinders the reuse of reactive dye waste water. In this paper, a new method by bentonite adsorption and coagulation (PAC) is employed for removing color from synthetic dye waste water which contains reactive red K-2G, K-RN blue, K-GR blue, X-3B red, K-GN orange, KB-3G yellow, K-2BP red, K-RN yellow and K-6G yellow. Bentonite pre- treated by 4% CTMAB and milled to 160 order screen is proven to the best decoloring agent. For a 100 mL reactive red K-2G sample (CODcr 400 mg/L, 25 000 chromaticity color), 0.5 g bentonite pretreated and 2.5 mL PAC is enough to decolor wastewater up to 99.92% and the sediment time is short. Non-degradable dyes such as active red X-3B and K-GN orange are declored completely as well. Raw sewage (low chromaticity color) is decolored completely at a ben-tonite dosage of 0.001g. More researches prove the high practical value of this process.

An element based on the harmonic functions for Performing vibration analysis oflinkages was developed to propose the matrix-transit equations and the kineto-elastrodynamics(KED) different equations. Method and the KED equations was continllous undertaken by themodal superposition approach. The results from those equations include the quasistatic parts andthe dynamic parts.
