Polygonatum sibiricum has long been a popular functional food in Asia， known for its anti-inflammatory properties. However， its efficacy in alleviating colitis has yet to be investigated. This study aimed to explore the therapeutic potential of Polygonatum sibiricum polysaccharides (PSP) in dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis， focusing on the related pyroptosis mechanisms. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis showed that PSP possesses a smooth surface with no pore structure and a dense， lamellar structure adorned with numerous spherical entities. PSP treatment significantly reduced colitis symptoms and decreased pro-inflammatory cytokines， likely through suppression of the TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway. Additionally， PSP attenuated NLRP3/ASC/Caspase-1/GSDMD-mediated pyroptosis and mitochondria damage in the colon， while enhanced the expression of tight junction and adherens junction proteins. Microbiota sequencing showed that PSP increased the abundance of phylum Bacteroidota and genus such as Muribaculaceae， Lactobacillus， Clostridia， and Lachnospiraceae， while decreased the phylum Proteobacteria and the genus Enterobacter， Escherichia-Shigella， and Blautia. In conclusion， this study demonstrates that PSP exerts the potential therapeutic role against colitis， which was mediated by the regulation of gut microbiota and the inhibition of colonic NLRP3/ASC/Caspase-1/GSDMD signaling pathway.

榆木山东缘断裂的晚第四纪构造变形及最新的活动特征反映了祁连山的向N扩展过程及印度板块向N挤压的远程碰撞效应。文中结合遥感影像解译、探槽古地震、无人机航空摄影测量和晚第四纪测年等方法,调查并新发现了榆木山东缘断裂的地表破裂带及其活动特征。结果表明,榆木山东缘断裂整体走向NW330°,现今的运动学特征以逆冲为主。以黑河为界,断裂的活动习性存在明显差异。在黑河口段(F_(1-1))发现了全新世晚期最新强震活动的地表破裂带。破裂带整体走向NW330°,倾向SW,长约10km,宽3~10m。地表破裂断错年轻的河流阶地、冲沟及台地,地表陡坎的最大高度为(3.3±0.2)m。光释光年代学结果显示,最新的地表破裂事件发生于(0.6±0.07)ka BP,经验公式估算其震级约为M 7.5。研究结果表明榆木山东缘断裂的变形特征为前展式逆冲推覆,其最新前缘的变形已经到达盆地内部。

以三亚市海棠区为例,运用ArcGIS和ENVI软件对2002—2022年遥感影像进行处理,探索20年来土地利用变化趋势;计算人均生态足迹和生态承载力,分析土地利用变化产生的生态环境效应。结果表明:海棠区的土地利用状况发生了巨大的变化,其中变化较为显著的是耕地、林地、建设用地;耕地和林地的流向主要是建设用地。这一时期海棠区高速发展,人类活动对土地利用的影响加剧。海棠区土地利用生态效应不宜乐观,海棠区生态足迹与生态承载力供给呈反方向发展趋势,海棠区人口对自然资源的利用已逐渐接近自然生态系统的生态承载力饱和范围。

Using a full-vector finite-difference time-domain （FDTD） method, this article explores the propagation characteristics of photonic crystal fiber （PCF） theoretically. The dependence of structural parameters on the effective index of the fundamental guided mode, effective index of the fundamental cladding mode, mode field diameter, confinement loss, effective mode area, and chromatic dispersion in PCF have been studied, respectively. The research presents a reference for designing of PCF with a specific purpose.

Numerical simulation of transient characteristics in a bulb turbine during the load rejection process

To evaluate the safety of the bulb tubular turbine,the dynamic hydraulic characteristics of a hydropower station system during the load rejection process are studied through numerical simulations and a prototype *** the developed model,a dynamic grid technology(DGT)controls the closure of the guide vane and the blade,whilst the moment balance equation and the user-defined function(UDF)provide the runner’s rotation *** 3-D transient simulation method can well predict the rotation speed and mass flow curves in the state of load *** simulation outcomes of the system performance are basically consistent with the measurement data of the *** observed,the runner is subjected to the reversely increased torque and axial force,the system is in a braking phase,and the maximum speed peaks at 144.6%of the rated ***,the internal flow of the runner is greatly affected by the closure of the guide vane,and the draft tube forms an eccentric spiral vortex *** breaks downstream,aggravating the instability of the draft ***,the transient characteristics span for the first five seconds,demonstrating the importance of establishing an efficient governing *** obtained results are useful for designing the turbine’s flow channel with a double regulating function and comprehending the turbine’s transient characteristics.

We investigate the propagation properties of a multi-layer photonic crystal fiber with novel rhombic air holes using the finite element method,and calculate the dependence of the propagation properties on the wavelength in the fiber with different geometrical structural parameters,including the internal angle and the external arrangement of the rhombic air *** these parameters,we design a photonic crystal which exhibits both a small dispersion value and low loss near the wavelength of 1.55μm.

Predictive factors for the local recurrence and distant metastasis of phyllodes tumors of the breast: a retrospective analysis of 192 cases at a single center

The local recurrence rate of phyllodes tumors of the breast varies widely among different subtypes, and distant metastasis is associated with poor survival. This study aimed to identify factors that are predictive of local recurrence-free survival(LRFS), distant metastasis-free survival(DMFS), and overall survival(OS) in patients with phyllodes tumors of the breast. Clinical data of all patients with a phyllodes tumor of the breast(n = 192) treated at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center between March 1997 and December 2012 were reviewed. The Pearson χ2 test was used to investigate the relationship between clinical features of patients and histotypes of tumors. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses were performed to identify factors that are predictive of LRFS, DMFS, and OS. In total, 31(16.1%) patients developed local recurrence, and 12(6.3%) developed distant metastasis. For the patients who developed local recurrence, the median age at the diagnosis of primary tumor was 33 years(range, 17-56 years), and the median size of primary tumor was 6.0 cm(range, 0.8-18 cm). For patients who developed distant metastasis, the median age at the diagnosis of primary tumor was 46 years(range, 24-68 years), and the median size of primary tumor was 5.0 cm(range, 0.8-18 cm). In univariate analysis, age, size, hemorrhage, and margin status were found to be predictive factors for LRFS(P = 0.009, 0.024, 0.004, and 0.001, respectively), whereas histotype, epithelial hyperplasia, margin status, and local recurrence were predictors of DMFS(P = 0.001, 0.007, 0.007, and < 0.001, respectively). In multivariate analysis, independent prognostic factors for LRFS included age [hazard ratio(HR) = 3.045, P = 0.005], tumor size(HR = 2.668, P = 0.013), histotype(HR = 1.715, P = 0.017), and margin status(HR = 4.530, P< 0.001). Sub-Poissonian photon emission in coupled double quantum dots-cavity system

In this work, we theoretically analyze the few-photon emissions generated in a coupled double quantum dots （CDQDs）-single mode microcavity system, under continuous wave and pulse excitation. Compared with the uncoupled case, strong sub-Poissonian character is achieved in a CDQDs--cavity system at a certain laser frequency. Based on the pro- posed scheme, single photon generation can be obtained separately under QD-cavity resonant condition and off-resonant condition. For different cavity decay rates, we reveal that laser frequency detunings of minimum second-order autocorre- lation function are discrete and can be divided into three regions. Moreover, the non-ideal situation where two QDs are not identical is discussed, indicating the robustness of the proposed scheme, which possesses sub-Poissonian character in a large QD difference variation range.
