Adhesive hydrogel has drawn great attention for wide applications in wound healing owing to its excellent biocompatibility and lasting ***,traditional adhesive hydrogels only keep the wound moist to promote wound *** is still imperative to fabricate adhesive hydrogels that exhibit efficient antibacterial ability,active driving dynamic wound closure,and reactive oxygen species(ROS)scavenging together with excellent mechanical ***,a novel hydrogel based on poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide)(PNIPAAm),a thermoresponsive polymer,and tannic acid(TA)-Ag nanoparticles(TA-Ag NPs)exhibiting active contraction,tissue adhesion,anti-inflammatory and antibacterial functions was ***-Ag dispersed in the hydrogel not only functioned as the catalyst to polymerize the reaction but also provided additional anti-inflammatory and antibacterial ***,tannic acid containing catechol groups endowed the hydrogel with adhesive *** interestingly,the obtained hydrogel exhibited the thermoresponsive shrinkage ability,which could mechanically drive wound closure due to the presence of PNIPAAm *** vivo mouse full-thickness skin defect model demonstrated that this actively contractible and antibacterial hydrogel is a promising dressing to improve wound healing process by accelerating tissue regeneration and preventing bacterial ***,this multi-functional adhesive hydrogel developed here may provide a new possibility for wound healing.

Heavy haze pollution during the COVID-19 lockdown in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,China

To investigate the characteristics of particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter less than 2.5μm(PM_(2.5))and its chemical compositions in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH)region of China during the novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19)lockdown,the ground-based data of PM_(2.5),trace gases,water-soluble inorganic ions,and organic and elemental carbon were analyzed in three typical cities(Beijing,Tianjin,and Baoding)in the BTH region of China from 5-15 February *** PM_(2.5)source apportionment was established by combining the weather research and forecasting model and comprehensive air quality model with extensions(WRF-CAMx).The results showed that the maximum daily PM_(2.5)concentration reached the heavy pollution level(>150μg/m^(3))in the above three *** sum concentration of SO_(4)^(2-),NO_(3)^(-)and NH_(4)^(+)played a dominant position in PM_(2.5)chemical compositions of Beijing,Tianjin,and Baoding;secondary transformation of gaseous pollutants contributed significantly to PM_(2.5)generation,and the secondary transformation was enhanced as the increased PM_(2.5)*** results of WRF-CAMx showed obviously inter-transport of PM_(2.5)in the BTH region;the contribution of transportation source decreased significantly than previous reports in Beijing,Tianjin,and Baoding during the COVID-19 lockdown;but the contribution of industrial and residential emission sources increased significantly with the increase of PM_(2.5)concentration,and industry emission sources contributed the most to PM_(2.5)***,control policies should be devoted to reducing industrial emissions and regional joint control strategies to mitigate haze pollution.

Aqueous electrochromic battery(ECB)has shown intense potential for achieving energy storage and saving *** tungsten oxide(WO_(3))is the most promising EC material for commercialization,the cycling stability of WO_(3)-based aqueous ECBs is currently unsatisfactory due to the repeated phase transition during the redox process and the corrosion by acidic ***,we present a titanium-tungsten oxide alloy(Ti-WO_(3))with controllable morphology and crystal phase synthesized by a facile hot injection method to overcome the *** contrast to conventional monoclinic WO_(3),the Ti-WO_(3)nanorods can stably maintain their cubic crystal phase during the redox reaction in an acidic electrolyte,thus leading to dramatically enhanced response speed and cycling stability,Specifically,when working in a well-matched hybrid Al^(3+)/Zn^(2+)aqueous electrolyte,our phasetransition-free cubic Ti-WO_(3)exhibits an ultra-high cycling stability(>20000 cycles),fast response speed(3,95 s/4,65 s for bleaching/coloring),as well as excellent discharge areal capacity of 214.5 mA h m^(-2),We further fabricate a fully complementa ry aqueous electrochromic device,for the first time,using a Ti-WO_(3)/Prussian blue device ***,the complementary ECB shows>10000 stable operation cycles,attesting to the feasibility of our Ti-WO_(3)for practical *** work validates the significance of inhibiting the phase transitions of WO_(3)during the electrochromic process for realizing highly cyclable aqueous ECB,which can possibly provide a generalized design guidance for other high-quality metallic oxides for electrochemical applications.

Objective:Sex-specific differences are observed in various liver diseases,but the influence of sex on the outcomes of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)after liver transplantation(LT)remains to be *** study is the first Chinese nationwide investigation of the role of sex in post-LT outcomes in patients with ***:Data for recipients with HCC registered in the China Liver Transplant Registry between January 2015 and December 2020 were *** associations between donor,recipient,or donor-recipient transplant patterns by sex and the post-LT outcomes were studied with propensity score matching(PSM).The survival associated with different sex-based donor-recipient transplant patterns was further ***:Among 3,769 patients enrolled in this study,the 1-,3-,and 5-year overall survival(OS)rates of patients with HCC after LT were 96.1%,86.4%,and 78.5%,respectively,in female recipients,and 95.8%,79.0%,and 70.7%,respectively,in male recipients after PSM(P=0.009).However,the OS was comparable between recipients with female donors and male *** analysis indicated that male recipient sex was a risk factor for post-LT survival(HR=1.381,P=0.046).Among the donor-recipient transplant patterns,the male-male donor-recipient transplant pattern was associated with the poorest post-LT survival(P<0.05).Conclusions:Our findings highlighted that the post-LT outcomes of female recipients were significantly superior to those of male recipients,and the male-male donor-recipient transplant pattern was associated with the poorest post-LT *** from male donors may provide the most benefit to female *** results indicate that sex should be considered as a critical factor in organ allocation.

The paper addresses the decentralized optimal control and stabilization problems for interconnected systems subject to asymmetric *** with previous work,a closed-loop optimal solution to the control problem and sufficient and necessary conditions for the stabilization problem of the interconnected systems are given for the first *** main challenge lies in three aspects:Firstly,the asymmetric information results in coupling between control and estimation and failure of the separation ***,two extra unknown variables are generated by asymmetric information(different information filtration)when solving forward-backward stochastic difference ***,the existence of additive noise makes the study of mean-square boundedness an *** adopted technique is proving and assuming the linear form of controllers and establishing the equivalence between the two systems with and without additive noise.A dual-motor parallel drive system is presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed algorithm.

Four development stages of collective intelligence

The new generation of artificial intelligence(AI)research initiated by Chinese scholars conforms to the needs of a new information environment changes,and strives to advance traditional artificial intelligence(AI 1.0)to a new stage of AI *** one of the important components of AI,collective intelligence(CI 1.0),i.e.,swarm intelligence,is developing to the stage of CI 2.0(crowd intelligence).Through in-depth analysis and informative argumentation,it is found that an incompatibility exists between CI 1.0 and CI ***,CI 1.5 is introduced to build a bridge between the above two stages,which is based on biocollaborative behavioral *** 1.5 is the transition from CI 1.0 to CI 2.0,which contributes to the compatibility of the two ***,a new interpretation of the meta-synthesis of wisdom proposed by Qian Xuesen is *** meta-synthesis of wisdom,as an improvement of crowd intelligence,is an advanced stage of bionic intelligence,i.e.,CI *** is pointed out that the dual-wheel drive of large language models and big data with deep uncertainty is an evolutionary path from CI 2.0 to CI 3.0,and some elaboration is *** a result,we propose four development stages(CI 1.0,CI 1.5,CI 2.0,and CI 3.0),which form a complete framework for the development of *** different stages are progressively improved and have good *** to the dominant role of cooperation in the development stages of CI,three types of cooperation in CI are discussed:indirect regulatory cooperation in lower organisms,direct communicative cooperation in higher organisms,and shared intention based collaboration in *** division is the main form of achieving cooperation and,for this reason,this paper investigates the relationship between the complexity of behavior and types of labor ***,based on the overall understanding of the four development stages of CI,the future development direction and research issues of CI are explored.

Investigation of mechanical and electrical characteristics of selfsensing pneumatic torsional actuators

Soft pneumatic actuators are one of the most promising actuation for soft robots,and great achievements have been *** it remains challenging to endow sensing capabilities to pneumatic actuators,especially for the sensing ability originating directly from the actuator ***,a self-sensing pneumatic torsional actuator(SPTA)is designed based on the electromagnetic induction effect and magnetically responsive *** SPTA can generate feedback voltage and current with the deformation,in which the sensing function comes from its inherent *** investigate the mechanical and electrical characteristics,an experimental platform and a finite element model are established,*** find that the torsion angle and output torque increase in nonlinear with the actuating *** maximum torsion angle is 66.35°,which is 84.34%of that for the actuator fabricated by pure *** maximum output torque(24.9 N mm)improves by 23.19%compared with the actuator made by pure *** regards the electrical characteristics,the maximum feedback voltage and current are 2.90μV and 29.50 nA when the SPTA is actuated by a pressure of−40 *** also demonstrate that the relationship between the torsion angle and the magnetic flux change is approximately ***,the number of turns of wires,magnetic powders contents,and magnetic direction on the feedback voltage and current are *** show that the feedback voltage and current can be enhanced by increasing the number of turns and magnetic powders *** envision that the SPTA would be promising for soft robots to realize their accuracy control and intelligentization.
