CMOS direct conversion X-ray detector coupled with fluorinated liquid

X-ray detectors show potential applications in medical imaging,materials science,and nuclear *** achieve high detection efficiency and spatial resolution,many conventional semiconductor materials,such as amorphous selenium,cadmium telluride zinc,and perovskites,have been utilized in direct conversion X-ray ***,these semiconductor materials are susceptible to temperature-induced performance degradation,crystallization,delamination,uneven lattice growth,radiation damage,and high dark *** study explores a new approach by coupling an FC40 electronic fluorinated liquid with a specialized high-resolution and high-readout-speed complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor(CMOS)pixel array,specifically the Topmetal II−chip,to fabricate a direct conversion X-ray *** fluorinated liquid FC40(molecular formula:C_(21)F_(48)N_(2))is an electronic medium that is minimally affected by temperature and displays no issues with uniform *** exhibits a low dark current and minimal radiation damage and enables customizable thickness in X-ray *** addresses the limitations inherent in conventional semiconductor-based *** this study,simple X-ray detector imaging tests were conducted,demonstrating the excellent coupling capability between FC40 electronic fluorinated liquid and CMOS chips by the X-ray detector.A spatial resolution of 4.0 lp/mm was measured using a striped line par card,and a relatively clear image of a cockroach was displayed in the digital radiography imaging *** test results indicated the feasibility of fabricating an X-ray detector by combining FC40 electronic fluorinated liquid and CMOS *** to the absence of issues related to chip-material coupling,a high spatial resolution could be achieved by reducing the chip pixel *** method presents a new avenue for studies on novel liquid-based direct conversion X-ray detectors.

Pyrrolic nitrogen coordinated Ni^(2+) dual-atom catalyst for boosting CO_(2) electroreduction

Nitrogen-doped carbon materials have been widely used for the constructions of single-atom catalysts,while the effect of different species of doped nitrogen on the catalytic activity of CO_(2) electroreduction has rarely been *** we found that pyrrolic-N coordinated Ni2+catalysts display much higher electrocatalytic CO_(2)-to-CO activity and selectivity than the corresponding pyridinic-N coordinated low valent Ni^((0–+2))catalysts,and pyrrolic-N coordinated Ni2 dual-atoms catalyst of Ni2/N-CNTs exhibits the best electrocatalytic performance,with over 90%Faradaic efficiencies in a broad potentials from−0.6 to−1.2 V *** hydrogen electrode,as well as an outstanding CO specific current of 56.2 A/mgNi and high turnover frequency of 6.2×10^(4) h^(−1),over 7-times higher than those of pyridinic-N coordinated Ni *** results indicate the weak electron-donor nature of pyrrolic-N facilitates the generation of a reduced active site at low overpotential for boosting CO_(2) *** functional theory calculations reveal that the reaction free energy for the*COOH formation on pyrrolic-N coordinated Ni catalysts are lower than those on pyridinic-N coordinated Ni catalysts,and a H_(2)Oadsorbed Ni_(2)/N-CNTs displays the optimized reaction free energy for both*COOH formation and CO desorption,which derive the best catalytic performance.

Orbital XY models in moiré superlattices

Moiré superlattices provide a new platform to engineer various many-body problems. In this work, we consider arrays of quantum dots(QD) realized on semiconductor moiré superlattices with a deep moiré potential. We diagonalize single QD with multiple electrons, and find degenerate ground states serving as local degrees of freedom(qudits) in the superlattice. With a deep moiré potential, the hopping and exchange interaction between nearby QDs become irrelevant,and the direct Coulomb interaction of the density–density type dominates. Therefore, nearby QDs must arrange the spatial densities to optimize the Coulomb energy. When the local Hilbert space has a two-fold orbital degeneracy, we find that a square superlattice realizes an anisotropic XY model, while a triangular superlattice realizes a generalized XY model with geometric frustration.

Thickness and sp3 bond modulation of（Ti/tetrahedral amorphous carbon）_n multilayer coatings

The durability of wear-resistant tetrahedral amorphous carbon（ta-C） coatings is intimately linked to their thickness and the concentration of *** enhance the lifespan of the coatings,we have prepared a multilayer coating consisting of alternating layers of Ti and ta-C,denoted as（Ti/ta-C）_n,using arc ion plating.A multi-layer structure in conjunction with stage cooling is employed to enhance the thickness and promote *** results indicate that the ID/IGvalue,representing the ratio of the intensity of the D peak to that of the G peak in Raman spectroscopy,decreases from 0.85 when no stage cooling is applied to 0.35 when stage cooling is employed,suggesting an enhancement in the fraction of sp3bonds within the *** obtained（Ti/ta-C）_n multilayer coating without peeling off has a maximum thickness of 1.14 μm,which is almost double that of the ta-C coating single layer *** the same time,the coating has a low coefficient of friction,down to 0.069,and maintains excellent friction properties with a wear rate of 3.4×10-6mm3·N-1·*** results conclusively show that the preparation technology can enhance both thickness and sp3bonding in ta-C coatings,significantly expanding their utility across tools,molds,and precision engineering components.

“One stone, two birds”: Salt template enabling porosity engineering and single metal atom coordinating toward high-performance zinc-ion capacitors

Zinc-ion hybrid capacitors (ZIHCs) have received increasing attention as energy storage devices owing to their low cost,high safety,and environmental ***,their progress has been hampered by low energy and power density,as well as unsatisfactory long-cycle stability,mainly due to the lack of suitable electrode *** this context,we have developed manganese single atoms implanted in nitrogen-doped porous carbon nanosheets (MnSAs/NCNs) using a metal salt template method as cathodes for *** metal salt serves a dual purpose in the synthesis process:It facilitates the uniform dispersion of Mn atoms within the carbon matrix and acts as an activating agent to create the porous *** applied in ZIHCs,the MnSAs/NCNs electrode demonstrates exceptional performance,including a high capacity of 203 m Ah g^(-1),an energy density of 138 Wh kg^(-1)at 68 W kg^(-1),and excellent cycle stability with 91%retention over 10,000 *** calculations indicate that the introduced Mn atoms modulate the local charge distribution of carbon materials,thereby improving the electrochemical *** work demonstrates the significant potential of carbon materials with metal atoms in zinc-ion hybrid capacitors,not only in enhancing electrochemical performance but also in providing new insights and methods for developing high-performance energy storage devices.

The reactions of an unexploited N,N’-5-carboxyl-1,3-phenylenebis(ethyl oxamate)(HEtL) ligand with different Mnand Cdsalts under solvothermal conditions afforded four threedimensional (3D) coordination polymers (CPs):[MnL(HO)]·HO (1)[Mn2L(C2O4)0.5(NMP)(HO)]·NMP (2),[Cd1.5L(HO)]·HO (3) and[CdL(CO)(HO)]·HO (4)(NMP=N-methyl pyrrolidone).L,generated by the in-situ hydrolysis of HEt2L,displays four kinds of coordinating modes through oxamate and carboxylate groups as well as different syn-syn and syn-trans *** resulting novel (3,4,5)-,(3,4,6)-,(4,5)-and (4,4,4,5)-connected topologies for 1-4 were *** them,1 has interesting 1D metal-oxamate zigzag chains,2 contains 1D channels with a free void of 52.5%,3 consists of an unprecedented Cd-oxamate layer,4 exists a novel Cd-oxamate-oxalate *** antiferromagnetic interactions of 1 and 2 were observed,while 3 and 4 reveal the solid-state luminescence with the maximum emission peaks at 483 and 479 nm,respectively,under an excitation of 332 nm.

Subsection cooling system of hot rolling silicon steel and its industrial application

An online subsection cooling method for hot rolling silicon steel was designed to achieve local adjustment of transverse roll ***,it was able to meet the requirements of edge drop of the strip by using the features of online thermal ***,after the new subsection spray beam was installed at the exit of mill,the special local cooling rules were analyzed for altering the thermal crown of roll according to rolling process ***,the dynamic impact of subsection cooling on the local thermal crown could just be obtained according to the measured ***,the heat transfer coefficient was determined by different subsection cooling curves under varied rolling ***,the rolling rhythm and variable conditions were important dynamic factors of transient roll temperature in practical rolling ***,real-time calculation and presetting of the thermal crown were carried out to maximize special requirements of load roll gap on local strip *** this new method,the transient temperature and the thermal crown of roll could be quantitatively controlled *** the practical results showed that the predicted temperature was able to match the measured value by more than 95%.Meanwhile,the adjustable range of thermal crown increased by more than 2.5 ***,the qualification rate of strip edge crown has increased from the original 30%to over 70%.

Positive effect of Mo on mechanical properties of a Ni-42W-10Co-xMo medium heavy alloy

In this study,a novel Ni-W-Co-Mo medium heavy alloy(MHA)was designed to improve its mechanical strength via Mo *** the Ni-42W-10Co-x Mo alloy series,where x represents the weight percent of Mo and varies between 0,1,2,5,and 10,the microstructure transitions from a dendritic structure to a hypo-eutectic structure as the Mo content increases from 0 to 5wt.%.Moreover,as the Mo content increases from 0 to 10wt.%,the distribution of theμ-phase shifts from being individually dispersed to forming aggregates,and its volume fraction rises from 0.5%to 7.9%.Notably,theμ-phase evolves into an eutectic microstructure,which helps in minimizing the segregation of *** change is accompanied by a substantial enhancement in mechanical properties;specifically,the compressive yield strength at room temperature increases from 350 MPa to 646 MPa,indicating a significant 85%***,the microhardness increases from 230 HV to 304 *** dynamics simulations further reveal that the strengthening mechanism of Ni-42W-10Co-x Mo alloys is Mo-induced solid solution strengthening and precipitation strengthening.

Complete Genomic Sequence of Transmissible Gastroenteritis Virus TS and 3' End Sequence Characterization Following Cell Culture

The complete genome sequence of transmissible Gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) strain TS, previously isolated from Gansu province, was cloned and compared with published sequence data from other TGEV strains. Phylogenetic tree analysis based on the amino acid and nucleotide sequences of the S gene showed that the TGEV strains were divided into 3 clusters. TGEV TS showed a close evolutionary relationship to the American Miller cluster but had a 5' non-translated region (NTR) sequence closely related to the American Purdue cluster. Continued culture in different cell types indicated that TGEV TS virulence could be attenuated after fifty passages in Porcine kidney (PK-15) cells, and that the Porcine kidney cell line IB-RS-2 (IBRS) was not suitable for culture of the TGEV strain TS.

Mesh-supported V2O5-WO3/TiO2 nanosheet array catalysts for efficient removal of NOx

The design and synthesis of vanadium-based denitration catalysts with low-temperature activity pose significant challenges in the field of toxic gas *** this study,we have developed a novel approach to fabricate highly efficient V2O5-WO3/TiO2monolithic mesh catalysts for NOxreduction at low ***,TiO2nanosheets with strong adhesion and large surface area were grown on Ti mesh using plasma electrolytic oxidation technology and hydrothermal ***,super-small traces of WO3and V2O5active nano-species were subsequently deposited on TiO2nanosheets using the deposition-precipitation *** to traditional ceramic-based V2O5-WO3/TiO2catalysts,our V2O5-WO3/TiO2monolithic mesh catalyst exhibits superior mechanical performance,excellent thermal conductivity,lower pressure drop,higher utilization of active components,and stronger synergistic ***,the V2O5-WO3/TiO2monolithic mesh catalysts exhibited excellent low-temperature catalytic activity with 98% of NOxconversion at 220℃,and remarkable long-term SO2tolerance and water resistance in the selective catalytic reduction（SCR） of NOxwith *** SCR reaction of tiny V2O5and WO3active species supported on TiO2nanosheets directly demonstrated to follow the Eley-Rideal mechanism by in situ infrared spectra.
