Skeletal muscle plays a vital role in the regulation of systemic metabolism,partly through its secretion of endocrine factors which are collectively known as *** myokine levels are associated with metabolic diseases,such as type 2 diabetes(T2D).The significance of interorgan crosstalk,particularly through myokines,has emerged as a fundamental aspect of nutrient and energy ***,a comprehensive understanding of myokine biology in the setting of obesity.and T2D remains a major chal*** this review,we discuss the regulation and biological functions of key myokines that have been extensively studied during the past two decades,namely interleukin 6(IL-6),irisin,myostatin(MSTN),growth differentiation factor 11(GDF11),fibroblast growth factor 21(FGF21),apelin,brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF),meteorin-like(Metrnl),secreted protein acidic and rich in cysteine(SPARC),β-aminoisobutyric acid(BAIBA),Musclin,and Dickkopf 3(Dkk3).Related to these,we detail the role of exercise in myokine expression and secretion together with their contributions to metabolic physiology.and *** significant advancements in myokine research,many myokines remain challenging to measure accurately.and investigate ***,new research techniques and detection methods should be developed and rigorously ***,developing a comprehensive perspective on myokine biology is crucial,as this will likely offer new insights into the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying obesity.and T2D and may reveal novel targets for therapeutic interventions.

Thermochromic polymers with tunable thermochromism,high stretchability.and mechanical strength are of interests for optical information storage and *** this work,we demonstrate a new design of thermo-fluorochromic carboxylated nitrile butadiene rubber(XNBR)elastomer cross-linked by Eu^(3+)-COOH dynamic coordination with deprotonated imidazole(DPIm)as the ancillary *** presence of DPIm not only improves the mechanical strength and stretchability,but also dramatically intensifies the fluorescence emission and lifetime of the Eu-containing *** elastomer behaves reversible thermo-fluorochromism with easily tunable transition temperature and emission intensity by the simple change of the deprotonation degree of *** facile tunable thermo-fluorochromism,exceptional mechanical strength,and high stretchability(up to about 5000%)enable the Eu-containing XNBR elastomer with potential applications in soft electronics where optical information storage and encryption are required.

This paper investigates a new resource-allocation problem involving multi-resource operations,where completing an operation requires simultaneous use of multiple(renewable)resources,probably of different *** goal of the study is to provide a solution method that minimizes the *** authors formulate the problem into a novel mixed-integer linear program(MILP)*** efficiently solve practical-sized instances,an exact Benders decomposition algorithm is *** algorithm divides the original problem into a master problem of allocating resources and a subproblem of calculating the makespan,and both are linked via Benders *** convergence is sped up by improving the mathematical model and embedding the variable neighborhood search *** with CPLEX,a commonly used MILP solver,the computational results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm provides tighter upper and lower bounds in most *** particular,compared with CPLEX,the proposed method can on average improve the upper and lower bounds by 4.76%and 4.39%,respectively,in solving practical-sized instances.

Toughening the petroleum-based epoxy resin blends with bio-based modifiers without compromising their modulus,mechanical strength,and other properties is still a big challenge in view of the *** this study,a bio-based liquid crystal epoxy resin(THMT-E P)with an s-triazine ring structure was utilized to modify a petroleum-based bisphenol A epoxy resin(E51)with 4,4'-diaminodiphenylsulfone(DDS)as a curing agent,and the blended systems were evaluated for their thermal stability,mechanical properties,and flame *** results showed that the impact strength of the blended system initially increased and then decreased with the increase in THMT-EP content,and it reached the a maximum value of 26.5 kJ/m^(2)when the THMT-EP content was 5%,which was 31.2%higher than that of E51/***,the flexural strength,modulus,and glass transition tem perature of the blended system were all simultaneously improved with the addition of *** the same time,the addition of THMT-EP enhanced the flame retardancy of the system by increasing the char yield at 700℃and decreasing the peak heat release rate and total heat release *** work paves the way for a more sustainable improvement in the comprehensive performance of epoxy resin.

The original vector discrete ordinate radiative transfer(VDISORT)model takes into account Stokes radiance vector but derives its solution assuming azimuthal symmetric surface reflective matrix and atmospheric scattering phase matrix,such as the phase matrix derived from spherical particles or randomly oriented non-spherical *** this study,a new VDISORT is developed for general atmospheric scattering and boundary *** vector is decomposed into both sinusoidal and cosinusoidal harmonic modes,and the radiance at arbitrary viewing geometry is solved directly by adding two zero-weighted points in the Gaussian quadrature *** complex eigenvalues in homogeneous solutions are also taken into full *** accuracy of VDISORT model is comprehensively validated by four cases:Rayleigh scattering case,the spherical particle scattering case with the Legendre expansion coefficients of 0th-13th orders of the phase matrix(hereinafter L13),L13 with a polarized source,and the randomoriented oblate particle scattering case with the Legendre expansion coefficients of 0th-11th orders of the phase matrix(hereinafter L11).In all cases,the simulated radiances agree well with the benchmarks,with absolute biases less than 0.0065,0.0006,and 0.0008 for Rayleigh,unpolarized L13,and L11,*** a polarized bidirectional reflection distribution function(pBRDF)matrix is used as the lower boundary condition,VDISORT is now able to handle fully coupled atmospheric and surface polarimetric radiative transfer processes.
