Co/Co_(7)Fe_(3)heterostructures with controllable alloying degree on carbon spheres as bifunctional electrocatalyst forrechargeable zinc-air batteries

Exploring efficient and nonprecious metal electrocatalysts of oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is crucial for developing rechargeable zinc-air batteries(ZABs).Herein,an alloying-degree control strategy was employed to fabricate nitrogen-doped carbon sphere(NCS)decorated with dual-phase Co/Co_(7)Fe_(3)heterojunctions(CoFe@NCS).The phase composition of materials has been adjusted by controlling the alloying *** optimal CoFe_(0.08)@NCS electrocatalyst displays a half-wave potential of 0.80 V for ORR and an overpotential of 283 mV at 10 ma·cm^(-2)for OER in an alkaline *** intriguing bifunctional electrocatalytic activity and durability is attributed to the hierarchically porous structure and interfacial electron coupling of highly-active Co_(7)Fe_(3)alloy and metallic Co *** the CoFe_(0.08)@NCS material is used as air-cathode catalyst of rechargeable liquid-state zinc-air battery(ZAB),the device shows a high peak power-density(157 mW·cm^(-2))and maintains a stable voltage gap over 150 h,outperforming those of the benchmark(Pt/C+RuO_(2))-based *** particular,the as-fabricated solid-state flexible ZAB delivers a reliable compatibility under different bending *** work provides a promising strategy to develop metal/alloy-based electrocatalysts for the application in renewable energy conversion technologies.

Investigations on Left Hand Cut Contribution to Determination of κ（700） Pole

The uncertainties of background contributions to J = 0 partial wave πK scattering phase shifts are carefully studied. We firstly point out that the circular cuts exhibit different characters in S1/1 and S3/2 waves. While the former contributes negatively to the scattering length parameter, the latter contributes positively, i.e., has a wrong sign. This fact indicates that short range force contribu tions to the phase shift are non-negligible in the exotic channel. Nevertheless, it is verified that the κ pole will be affected only slightly with respect to the theoretical uncertainty in estimating the left hand cut contributions.

Diabetic kidney disease(DKD)is a prevalent complication of diabetes,often leading to end-stage renal *** models have been widely used to study the pathogenesis of DKD and evaluate potential ***,current animal models often fail to fully capture the pathological characteristics of renal injury observed in clinical patients with ***,modeling DKD is often a time-consuming,costly,and labor-intensive *** current review aims to summarize modeling strategies in the establishment of DKD animal models by utilizing meta-analysis related methods and to aid in the optimization of these models for future research.A total of 1215 articles were retrieved with the keywords of“diabetic kidney disease”and“animal experiment”in the past 10 *** screening,84 articles were selected for inclusion in the *** manager 5.4.1 was employed to analyze the changes in blood glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin,total cholesterol,triglyceride,serum creatinine,blood urea nitrogen,and urinary albumin excretion rate in each *** lesions shown in different models that were not suitable to be included in the metaanalysis were also extensively *** above analysis suggested that combining various stimuli or introducing additional renal injuries to current models would be a promising avenue to overcome existing challenges and *** conclusion,our review article provides an in-depth analysis of the limitations in current DKD animal models and proposes strategies for improving the accuracy and reliability of these models that will inspire future research efforts in the DKD research field.

DQNN: Pore-scale variables-based digital permeability assessment of carbonates using quantum mechanism-based machine-learning

Permeability is a key parameter of rock reservoirs, suggesting the flow characteristics of rock reservoirs. Permeability prediction of carbonate reservoirs is still a great challenge due to its complex pore network and wide range permeability. This work is to establish a digital quantum mechanism-based neural network(DQNN) to study the permeability using the digital porosity,coordination number and pore network size. Experiments and artificial neural network methods(ANN) are applied to validate the accuracy of the proposed DQNN method. In these methods, the pore-scale variables extracted from the micro-CT images of200 carbonate samples are applied. Results show that the permeabilities obtained from experimental, artificial neural network and DQNN methods agree well with each other. Digital pore size, pore throat size and length are better parameters, while coordination number and porosity are relatively secondary parameters for permeability descriptions of carbonate *** with the ANN method, the proposed DQNN method is superior in low computation time and high ability for complicated problems.

Effects of Ausforming Procedure and Following Annealing Treatment on Microstructural Characteristics in Cobalt

The effects of ausforming procedure and subsequent annealing treatments on microstructures of cobalt（Co）samples are investigated by electron channeling contrast and electron backscatter diffraction *** show that the ausformed Co samples consist of coarsen blocky laths（single ε phase）with the irregular morphology and the ultra-fine acicular laths（dual phase：γ and ε）with the slender and rectangular *** compared to the slight reduction sample,the much denser acicular laths are observed in the heavily ausformed *** addition,recrystallization behavior and annealing-induced 7--＋ e transformation have occurred in ausformed Co samples during the annealing treatment.

SMOOTH ESTImaTION OF ROC CURVE IN THE PRESENCE OF AUXILIARY INFORmaTION

Receiver operating characteristic （ROC） curve is often used to study and compare two- sample problems in medicine. When more information may be available on one treatment than the other, one can improve estimator of ROC curve if the auxiliary population information is taken into account. The authors show that the empirical likelihood method can be naturally adapted to make efficient use of the auxiliary information to such problems. The authors propose a smoothed empirical likelihood estimator for ROC curve with some auxiliary information in medical studies. The proposed estimates are more efficient than those ROC estimators without any auxiliary information, in the sense of comparing asymptotic variances and mean squared error （MSE）. Some asymptotic properties for the empirical likelihood estimation of ROC curve are established. A simulation study is presented to demonstrate the performance of the proposed estimators.

Enterprise Architecture(EA)has evolved based on the practice of information systems architecture design and *** is a rigorous description of a structure,and the objectives of EA modeling not only include clarifying corporate strategies,visualizing business processes,and modeling information systems to manage resources but also include improving organizational structures,adjusting information strategies,and creating new business ***,EA models cover a wide scope that includes both IT and business ***,EA modeling is the initial and most important analysis step for researchers,architects,and *** is the dominant modeling language for EA and it has been shown to improve visualization of EA ***,few studies have systematically introduced general modeling methods using Archimate to meet a broad range of needs and few studies have empirically evaluated the modeling method using *** paper introduces an EA visualization approach to fill that gap and conducts a case study on a wilderness weather station *** controlled experiments are conducted to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of this modeling method,and the experimental results show that this modeling procedure is not only feasible,but also can effectively transform the system metamodel and restore the EA scene.

LaMgAl_(11)O_(19)(Lma),characterized by high melting point,low density and thermal conductivity as well as good infrared emissivity,is regarded as a potential candidate for the thermal protection of hypersonic ***,the unsatisfied phase stability at high temperature results in declining of the emissivity below 6μm,which limits the extensive applications of LaMgAl_(11)O_(19).In order to overcome this obstacle,three dense bulk high-entropy ceramics,(La_(0.2)Nd_(0.2)Gd_(0.2)Sm_(0.2)Pr_(0.2))MgAl_(11)O_(19)(HE Lma-1),(La_(0.2)Nd_(0.2)Gd_(0.2)Sm_(0.2)Dy_(0.2))Mg Al_(11)O_(19)(HE Lma-2)and La(Mg_(0.2)Fe_(0.2)Co_(0.2)Ni_(0.2)Zn_(0.2))Al_(11)O_(19)(HE Lma-3),were designed and successfully prepared through solid state reaction at 1700℃for 4 h in one *** analyses show that the phase compositions of HE Lma-1,HE Lma-2 and HE Lma-3 are single-phase solid solutions with the relative density of 95.61%,95.49%and 94.31%,*** treatment experiments demonstrate that the phase composition of HE Lma-1 remains a single phase after high-temperature heating,while second phase appears in other two *** stability of HE Lma-1 is attributed to small average size differenceδ(~4%)of constitute ***,the average emissivity of HE Lma-1 in the range of 3-6μm reaches 0.9,which is significantly higher than that of Lma and other two HE Lma *** emissivity of all samples remains above 0.95 from 6 to 10μ*** the far infrared region(10-14μm),although the emissivity of these specimens decreases slightly,it still exceeds *** UV-Vis absorption spectra indicate that the formation of many discrete impurity energy levels with small intervals in HE Lma-1 promotes the f electrons to transit between adjacent impurity energy levels and conduction band,which enhances the infrared emission of HE Lma-1 below 6μ*** a word,with improved phase stability and thermal emissivity in infrared range,high-entropy REMgAl_(11)O_(19),especially(La_(0.2)Nd_(0.2)

Interaction of DNA with aromatic hydrocarbons fraction in atmospheric particulates of Xigu District of Lanzhou,China

Voluminously epidemiological studies show that the relationships exist between the air pollution and human health and cancer. Aromatic hydrocarbons （AHs） in air form a large class of organic pollutants, which are widely in environment and many of them are known to be carcinogenic and/or mutagenic and contribute to ambient air pollution. In the past decades, bioassays mainly have been used to evaluate the toxicity of chemical mixtures in atmospheric particulates or aqueous environment. However, it is well known that the covalent complexes formed by carcinogens with DNA may be exert negative results in bioassay. So the main aim of this paper is to develop an evaluation method of toxicity effects of chemical mixtures in atmospheric particulates from chemical standpoint. In this study, the in vitro interaction of the AHs with DNA was investigated by absorption, fluorescence and resonance light scattering （RLS） spectroscopic techniques. The results showed that the AHs in the atmospheric particulates could combine with calf thymus DNA （ctDNA） and herring sperm DNA （hsDNA） without being activated or metabolized by organism, respectively. Intercalation may be present in the mechanism of interaction. The binding constants of the AHs with ctDNA and hsDNA were 2.5x102 and 2.0x103, respectively, which indicated that the interaction of the AHs with hsDNA is stronger than that with ctDNA. In addition, the relationships of dose-effect between the total mole concentration of chemical components and the ability of binding ctDNA and hsDNA were confirmed. This research made it possible to study the toxicity effects of chemical mixtures in atmospheric particulates by chemical method. It is believed that the composition and contents of unknown AHs and the interaction of DNA with AHs in atmospheric particulates of Xigu District of Lanzhou City, China are first reported in the past twenty years.
