Effect of Shape and Placement of Twisted Pin Fins in a Rectangular Channel on Thermo-Hydraulic Performance

To enhance the thermo-hydraulic performance of cooling channels,this investigation examines the influence of distinct cross-sectional shapes(i.e.,triangular,rectangular,and hexagonal)of twisted pin fins and their arrangements in straight and cross *** ambient air cooling test platform was established to numerically and experimentally investigate the flow and heat transfer characteristics of 360°twisted pin fins at Re=*** findings reveal that straight rows exhibit higher Nu values than cross rows for triangular and rectangular twisted pin fins,and Nu increases with *** contrast,for hexagonal twisted pin fins,only straight rows at Re=19000 exhibit superior overall thermal performance compared to cross ***,the heat transfer performance of the cooling channel with hexagonal twisted fins surpasses both triangular and rectangular configurations,especially at high Reynolds numbers(Re=22800).Although the heat transfer coefficient of the cooling channel with hexagonal twisted fins is significantly enhanced by 132.71%compared to the flat channel,it also exhibits the highest thermal resistance and relative friction among the three types of twisted fins,the maximum of which are 2.14 and ***,the hydrothermal performance factor(HTPF)of the cooling channels with different types of twisted pin fins depends on the Reynolds number and arrangement *** Re=15200,the highest HTPF achieved for the cross-row hexagonal twisted pin fins is 0.99.

Analysis of explosion wave interactions and rock breaking effects during dual initiation

In blasting engineering, the location and number of detonation points, to a certain degree, regulate the propagation direction ofthe explosion stress wave and blasting effect. Herein, we examine the explosion wave field and rock breaking effect in terms of shockwave collision, stress change of the blast hole wall in the collision zone, and crack propagation in the collision zone. The produced shockwave on the collision surface has an intensity surpassing the sum of the intensities of the two colliding explosion shock waves. At the collisionlocation, the kinetic energy is transformed into potential energy with a reduction in particle velocity at the wave front and the wavefront pressure increases. The expansion form of the superposed shock wave is dumbbell-shaped, the shock wave velocity in the collisionarea is greater than the radial shock wave velocity, and the average propagation angle of the explosion shock waves is approximately 60°.Accordingly, a fitted relationship between blast hole wall stress and explosion wave propagation angle in the superposition area is *** the experimental conditions, the superimposed explosion wave stress of the blast hole wall is approximately 1.73 times the singleexplosionwave incident stress. The results of the model test and numerical simulations reveal that large-scale radial fracture cracks weregenerated on the blast hole wall in the superimposed area, and the width of the crack increased. The width of the large-scale radial fracturecracks formed by a strong impact is approximately 5% of the blast hole length. According to the characteristics of blast hole wallcompression, the mean peak pressures of the strongly superimposed area are approximately 1.48 and 1.84 times those of the weakly superimposedand nonsuperimposed areas, respectively.

Spinel MnCo_(2)O_(4) is a promising energy storage candidate as anode materials in lithium-ion batteries owing to synergistic effects of two intrinsic solid-state redox ***,low conductivity,poor rate capacity and rapid capacity fading have seriously impaired its practical *** overcome the inferiorities,urchin-like MnCo_(2)O_(4)@C core–shell nanowire arrays have been fabricated directly within a porous copper current collector via a facile hydrothermal method followed by a chemical vapor deposition carbonization *** a typical nanowire,the core is composed of interconnected MnCo_(2)O_(4)nanoparticles and the shell shows as a thin amorphous carbon *** integrated MnCo_(2)O_(4)@C/Cu structure could act as working anodes without using additives or polymer *** MnCo_(2)O_(4)@C/Cu possesses slightly longer Li-ion insertion/desertion pathway than that of MnCo_(2)O_(4)/Cu,the carbon shell could effectively prevent the pulverization of MnCo_(2)O_(4) and lower down charge transfer resistance and actively participate in Li-ion *** rearrangement of carbon atoms during lithiation/delithiation cycling could inhibit the formation of passive solid electrolyte interphase *** a result,the MnCo_(2)O_(4)@C/Cu electrode presents superior rate capacity(600 mAh·g^(−1) at 1 A·g^(−1)) and better stability(797 mAh·g^(−1) after 200 cycles at 100 mA·g^(−1)).The excellent reversible Li ion storage capacity,cycling stability and rate capacity endow MnCo_(2)O_(4)@C/Cu great potential as stable and high output integrated anode materials in Li-ion batteries.

A full-cycle numerical simulation of a circulating fluidized bed(CFB)by the use of the computational particle fluid dynamics(CPFD)method has been *** effects of the presence or absence of the secondary air,different secondary air positions,and different secondary air ratios on the gas–solid flow characteristics were *** results show that the presence of the secondary air makes a core-annular structure of the velocity distribution of particles in the fluidized bed,which enhances the uniformity of particles’distribution and the stability of *** position and the ratio of the secondary air have a significant impact on the particle distribution,particle flow rate,and gas flow rate in the fluidized *** the secondary air position and ratio are optimal,the particles,particle flow rate,and air flow rate in the CFB are evenly distributed,the gas–solid flow state is good,and the CFB can operate stably.

Refined acoustic holography via nonlocal metasurfaces

Holography can provide the desired wavefront phase and/or amplitude for imaging,particle manipulation,bacteria trapping,and cell patterning in optics and ***,previous work on acoustic holography is mostly based on local design optimization,either using active control of the sound source or relying on the structural design to provide the desired *** precise control over the acoustic field remains a significant ***,we realize refined single-plane symmetric binary amplitude,asymmetric intensity gradient amplitude,and bi-objective hologram through the non-local holographic imaging theory that considers the acoustic coupling of structural units in *** taking into account the self-radiation and mutual radiation between many small units on a plate of well-designed thickness,as well as the transmission through the plate's apertures,we can effectively regulate the sound field behind the *** demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach through numerical simulations and experiments,showcasing a circle,a black hole,and a bi-objective with a circle and a square ***,the acoustic black hole hologram precisely reconstructs the intensity gradient distribution at two bright *** non-local holographic imaging theory is valuable for the fine-intensity regulation of the sound field and is expected to be applied in ultrasound diagnosis and treatment,medical imaging,and other fields.

In this study,we reported the discovery and structure-activity relationship analysis of chrysin derivatives as a new class of inhibitors targeting poly(ADP-ribose)polymerase 1(PARP1).Among these derivatives,compound 5d emerged as the most effective chrysin-based inhibitor of PARP1,with an IC50 value of 108 nmol·L^(-1).This compound significantly inhibited the proliferation and migration of breast cancer cell lines HCC-1937 and MDA-MB-436 by inducing DNA ***,5d induced apoptosis and caused an extended G1/S-phase in these cell *** docking studies revealed that 5d possesses a strong binding affinity toward *** vivo,in a xenograft model,5d effectively reduced tumor growth by downregulating PARP1 ***,compound 5d shows promise as a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of BRCA wild-type breast cancer.

Properties of hydrophobic carbon-PTFE composite coating with high corrosion resistance by facile preparation on pure Ti

Composite coatings consisting of carbon and polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) were prepared on Ti alloy substrate by a simple two-step process of hydrothermal and impregnation. The morphology, composition, hydrophobic and corrosion properties of the composite coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR), water contact angle method, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and electrochemical technique, respectively. The effect of PTFE content on the corrosion properties of the composite coatings was studied. It is found that the composite coating film exhibits a full coverage with uniformly distributed PTFE when 0.1 mol/L of glucose is used as carbon source and 20 wt.% PTFE suspension as impregnating solution. The coating with 20 wt.% PTFE has a good bonding strength with Ti plate and exhibits excellent hydrophobic property with a water contact angle of 142.3° as well as superior corrosion resistance with corrosion current density as low as 0.0045 μA/cm^2. With regard to its excellent hydrophobicity and corrosion resistance, the carbon-PTFE composite coating may find potential application in automobiles and metal corrosion industries.

Manufacturing thin-film components is crucial for achieving high-efficiency and high-power thermal batteries (TBs).However,developing binders with low-gas production at the operating temperature range of TBs (400-550℃)has proven to be a significant ***,we report the use of acrylic acid derivative terpolymer (LA136D) as a low-volatile binder for thin-film cathode fabrication and studied the chain scission and chemical bondbreaking mechanisms in pyrolysis.

The planar-chiral ligands have been widely applied as a class of unique and significant ligands in asymmetric *** them,chiral[2.2]paracycyclophane has emerged as a privileged type of planar-chiral framework and has been utilized as an important toolbox due to their structural ***,we design and synthesize[2.2]paracyclophane-derived oxazole-pyrimidine ligands(abberviated as PYMCOX).These N,N-ligands with stable properties,rigid structure and large steric hindrance performed successfully in nickel-catalyzed asymmetric 1,2-reduction ofα,β-unsaturated ketones,affording the chiral allylic alcohols with up to 99%yield and 99%***,this reduction reaction could be conducted on gram-scale without loss of activity and enantioselectivity,and the chiral ligand could be conveniently recovered with high yield.
