Efficient synthesis of bottle-brush polymers enabled by selective photoactivation strategy in NIR-induced PET-RAFT polymerization

Bottle-brush polymers possessing densely grafted side chains have special properties that are distinct from linear ***,an efficient method for preparing bottle-brush polymers based on a selective photoactivation strategy in the photoinduced electron/energy transfer reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer(PET-RAFT)polymerization was developed.A methacrylate monomer 2-(2-(dodecylthiocarbonothioylthio)propionate)ethyl methacrylate(DTPEMA)containing a 2-(dodecylthiocarbonothioylthio)propionate(DTP)unit with a secondary R group was *** the unique selectivity of metal naphthalocyanine photocatalyst zinc 2,11,20,29-tetra-tert-butyl-2,3-naphthalocyanine(ZnTtBNc)toward trithiocarbonate with tertiary R group,the PET-RAFT polymerization of DTPEMA catalyzed by ZnTtBNc was performed under near infrared(NIR)light(λ_(max)=760 nm)irradiation at room temperature,using 4-cyano-4-[(dodecylsulfanylthiocarbonyl)-sulfanyl]pentanoic acid(CDTPA)with a tertiary R group as a chain transfer agent(CTA).Proton nuclear magnetic resonance(1H NMR)and gel permeation chromatography(GPC)results demonstrated that the DTP units in the side chains were inert during the *** grafting poly(methyl acrylate)(PMA)from PDTPEMA via thermal-initiated RAFT polymerization,welldefined P(DTPEMA-g-PMA)bottle-brush polymers could be ***,the film prepared from the bottle-brush polymer exhibited excellent scratch self-healing property due to the interlocking of side chains.

Spatial diversion and coordination of flood water for an urban flood control project in Suzhou, China

Suzhou City,located in the Yangtze River Delta in China,is prone to flooding due to a complex combination of natural factors,including its monsoon climate,low elevation,and tidally influenced position,as well as intensive human *** Large Encirclement Flood Control Project(LEFCP)was launched to cope with serious floods in the urban *** project changed the spatiotemporal pattern of flood processes and caused spatial diversion of floods from the urban area to the outskirts of the ***,this study developed a distributed flood simulation model in order to understand this transition of flood *** results revealed that the LEFCP effectively protected the urban areas from floods,but the present scheduling schemes resulted in the spatial diversion of floods to the outskirts of the *** rainstorm frequencies of 10.0%to 0.5%,the water level differences between two representative water level stations(Miduqiao(MDQ)and Fengqiao(FQ))located inside and outside the LEFCP area,ranged from 0.75 m to 0.24 m and from 1.80 m to 1.58 m,*** addition,the flood safety margin at MDQ and the duration with the water level exceeding the warning water level at FQ ranged from 0.95 m to 0.43 m and from 4 h to 22 h,*** scheduling schemes for the hydraulic facilities of the LEFCP in extreme precipitation cases were developed ac-cording to food simulations under seven scheduling *** helps to regulate the spatial flood diversion caused by the LEFCP during extreme precipitation.

Multi-scale data joint inversion of minerals and porosity in altered igneous reservoirs—A case study in the South China Sea

There are abundant igneous gas reservoirs in the South China Sea with significant value of research,and lithology classification,mineral analysis and porosity inversion are important links in reservoir ***,affected by the diverse lithology,complicated mineral and widespread alteration,conventional logging lithology classification and mineral inversion become considerably *** the same time,owing to the limitation of the wireline log response equation,the quantity and accuracy of minerals can hardly meet the exploration requirements of igneous *** overcome those issues,this study takes the South China Sea as an example,and combines multi-scale data such as micro rock slices,petrophysical experiments,wireline log and element cutting log to establish a set of joint inversion methods for minerals and porosity of altered igneous ***,we define the lithology and mineral characteristics through core slices and mineral data,and establish an igneous multi-mineral volumetric *** we determine element cutting log correction method based on core element data,and combine wireline log and corrected element cutting log to perform the lithology classification and joint inversion of minerals and ***,it is always difficult to determine the elemental eigenvalues of different minerals in *** paper uses multiple linear regression methods to solve this ***,an integrated inversion technique for altered igneous formations was *** results show that the corrected element cutting log are in good agreement with the core element data,and the mineral and porosity results obtained from the joint inversion based on the wireline log and corrected element cutting log are also in good agreement with the core data from X-ray *** results demonstrate that the inversion technique is applicable and this study provides a new direction for the mineral inversion research of altered igneous formation

Chinese herbal medicine for the treatment of endocrine therapyrelated osteoporosis among patients with breast cancer:A systematic review and meta-analysis

Objective To assess the efficacy and safety of combining traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),specifically Chinese herbal medicine(CHM),with Western medicine(WM),compared to WM alone to treat breast cancer endocrine therapy-related osteoporosis(BCET-OP)by *** Thirty-eight randomized controlled trials involving 2170 participants were *** databases were searched for articles published between inception and December *** assessment was performed using the Risk of Bias 2 *** Significant increases were observed in the TCM-WM group in lumbar vertebrae bone mineral density(BMD)(P<.001,mean difference(MD)=0.07,95%confidence interval(CI):0.06 to 0.08),lumbar vertebrae T-score(P=.0005,MD=0.21,95%CI:0.09 to 0.33)and collum femoris BMD(P=.01,MD=0.10,95%CI:0.02 to 0.19).No significant difference was observed between the groups in the collum femoris T-score and estradiol *** gla-protein levels were significantly increased in the TCM-WM group(P=.0002,MD=0.52,95%CI:0.25 to 0.79).Beta-CrossLaps decreased significantly in the TCM-WM group(P=.0008,MD=−0.10,95%CI:−0.16 to−0.04).No significant difference was observed between the TCM-WM and WM groups in alkaline phosphatase,in procollagen type I N-terminal propeptide,and in the Kupperman *** visual analog score(VAS)was decreased in the TCM-WM group compared to the WM group(P<.001,MD=−1.40,95%CI:−1.94 to−0.87).No significant difference in adverse events was observed between the two *** Combining CHM with WM in patients with BCET-OP significantly improved BMD,T-score,and certain bone turnover markers and reduced the VAS score,indicating potential benefits for bone health and related *** event analysis revealed no differences between the groups,supporting the feasibility of the combination ***,further research,particularly in diverse populations,is required.

Thermofluidic investigations of oil natural transformer:Closed-loop modelling and experimental validation

A simplified dispersion-compensation microstructure fiber with seven cores

In order to compensate the dispersion accumulated in a single mode fiber(SMF)for higher communication capacity,a simplified dispersion-compensation microstructure fiber(DC-MSF)with seven cores is proposed in this *** fiber’s cladding is made of pure silica without air holes,and its outer cores are composed of six germanium up-doped cylinders,which has the advantage of simple *** finite element method(FEM)and beam propagation method(BPM)are used to study the properties of the fiber,and the relationship between the structural parameters of the fiber and the dispersion,as well as the phase matching wavelength,is *** optimizing the structural parameters of the fiber,the dispersion of the fiber can reach-5291.47 ps·nm^(-1)·km^(-1) at 1550 nm,and the coupling loss to the conventional single-mode fiber is only 0.137 d *** with the conventional dispersion-compensation fiber,the fiber has lots of advantages,such as single mode transmission,easy to fabricate and low coupling loss with traditional SMF,etc.
