As a resonator-based optical hardware in analog optical computing, a microring synapse can be straightforwardly configured to simulate the connection weights between neurons, but it faces challenges in precision and stability due to cross talk and environmental perturbations. here, we propose and demonstrate a self-calibration scheme with dual-wavelength synchronization to monitor and calibrate the synaptic weights without interrupting the computation tasks. We design and fabricate an integrated 4 × 4 microring synapse and deploy our self-calibration scheme to validate its effectiveness. The precision and robustness are evaluated in the experiments with favorable performance, achieving 2-bit precision improvement and excellent robustness to environmental temperature fluctuations(the weights can be corrected within 1 s after temperature changes 0.5°C). Moreover, we demonstrate matrix inversion tasks based on Newton iterations beyond 7-bit precision using this microring synapse. Our scheme provides an accurate and real-time weight calibration independently parallel from computations and opens up new perspectives for precision boost solutions to large-scale analog optical computing.

Residual strength is an indispensable factor in evaluating rock fracture,yet the current Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics(SPH)framework rarely considers its influence when simulating *** improved cracking strategy considering residual stress in the base bond SPH method was proposed to simulate failures in layered rocks and slopes and verified by experimental results and other simulation methods(i.e.,the discrete element method).Modified Mohr–Coulomb failure criterion was applied to distinguish the mixed failure of tensile and *** fracture markψwas introduced to improve the kernel function after tensile damage,and the calculation of residual stress after the damage was derived after shear *** simulations were carried out to evaluate its performance under different stress and scale conditions and to verify its effectiveness in realistically reproducing crack initiation and propagation and coalescence,even fracture and *** results indicate that the improved cracking strategy precisely captures the fracture and failure pattern in layered rocks and rock *** residual stress of brittle tock is correctly captured by the improved SPH *** improved SPH method that considers residual strength shows an approximately 13%improvement in accuracy for the safety factor of anti-dip layered slopes compared to the method that does not consider residual strength,as validated against analytical *** infer that the improved SPH method is effective and shows promise for applications to continuous and discontinuous rock masses.

Light emitting diodes(LEDs)have accounted for most of the lighting market as the technology matures and costs continue to *** a new type of e-waste,LED is a double-edged sword,as it contains not only precious and rare metals but also organic packaging *** previous studies,LED recycling focused on recovering precious and strategic metals while ignoring harmful substances such as organic packaging *** crushing and other traditional methods,hydrothermal treatment can provide an environment-friendly process for decomposing packaging *** work developed a closed reaction vessel,where the degradation rate of plastic polyphthalamide(PPA)was close to 100%,with nano-TiO_(2)encapsulated in plastic PPA being efficiently recovered,while metals contained in LED were also recycled ***,the role of water in plastic PPA degradation that has been overlooked in current studies was explored and speculated in detail in this *** impact assessment revealed that the proposed recycling route for waste LED could significantly reduce the overall environmental impact compared to the currently published *** the developed method could reduce more than half the impact of global ***,this research provides a theoretical basis and a promising method for recycling other plastic-packaged e-waste devices,such as integrated circuits.

The infiltration kinetics of the metal melt into a fibrous preform in centrifugal accelerating field is analyzed on the basis of Darcy's law and the assumption that the fibrous preform is treated as 'bundle of capillaries' The critical rotating speed is analyzed with the established model The influences of the metal melt mass,the rotating speed of the equipment,the casting height, the original outer radius of the metal melt and the fibrous volume fraction in fibrous preform on infilatration are studied The results show that the critical rotating speed is dependent on critical pressure, casting height, metal melt mass and the character of fibrous preform With the increase in the metal melt mass, rotating speed of the equipment and original outer radius of the metal melt, or the decrease in casting height and fibrous volume fraction in fibrous of the metal melt,or the decrease in casting height and fibrous volume fraction in fibrous preform,infiltration of metal melt for fibrous preform becomes easier.

In this paper, we investigated the effects of error-feedback noise shaping(EFNS) on a lowresolution Kramers-Kronig(KK) detection system for the first time. Both 16-ary quadrature amplitude modulation(16-QAM) and 64-ary quadrature amplitude modulation(64-QAM) were considered in the experiment. The carrier tone was added on the transmitter side using the virtual carrier-assisted single sideband(VCA-SSB) method to meet the minimum phase(MP) condition. Under the MP condition, KK detection only needs the intensity of the optical signal to be detected by one photodiode(PD) to retrieve the phase information. However, the virtual carrier tone increases the carrier-to-signal power ratio(CSPR), which results in a high peak-to-average power ratio(PAPR) at the transmitter, causing an increase in quantization noise. To mitigate quantization noise in the low-resolution KK detection system, EFNS was applied. The application of EFNS increased the optimal CSPR of the KK detection system and improved receiver sensitivity. Using a 4-bit DAC and the EFNS, 80 km transmission was achieved in the 60-Gbit/s 64-QAM KK detection system.

Imaging the wave velocity field surrounding a borehole while drilling is a promising and urgently needed approach for extending the exploration range of the borehole *** paper develops a drilling process detection(DPD)system consisting of a multifunctional sensor and a pilot geophone installed at the top of the drilling rod,geophones at the tunnel face,a laser rangefinder,and an onsite computer.A weighted adjoint-state first arrival travel time tomography method is used to invert the P-wave velocity field of rock mass while borehole drilling.A field experiment in the ongoing construction of a deep buried tunnel in southwestern China demonstrated the DPD system and the tomography ***-frequency analysis of typical borehole drilling detection data shows that the impact drilling source is a pulse-like seismic exploration wavelet.A velocity field of the rock mass in a triangular area defined by the borehole trajectory and geophone receiving line can be *** the borehole core and optical image validate the inverted P-wave velocity field.A numerical simulation of a checkerboard benchmark model is used to test the tomography *** rapid convergence of the misfits and consistent agreement between the inverted and observed travel times validate the P-wave velocity imaging.

[目的]探究2001—2021年长江不同子流域生态环境质量动态变化及其主导驱动因素,以期为长江流域生态环境保护与经济发展战略的协调发展提供理论依据。[方法]基于MODIS数据提取了2001—2021年5—11月长江流域遥感生态指数(remote sensing ecological index,RSEI),并基于RSEI分析了长江流域近21 a来生态环境质量动态及其驱动因素。[结果]①长江流域中下游生态质量高于上游,南部高于北部。除2006年外,生态质量在中等级以上的面积占80%以上,整体生态水平较好。②生态环境质量变化整体以稳定变化为主,呈上升趋势的区域有乌江、太湖水系、宜宾至宜昌、宜宾至湖口、金沙江流域。③RSEI变化的主要驱动因素为湿度指标,其次为温度指数。④生态环境质量受到风速的正影响较大。气温升高会导致长江流域生态环境质量变差,但在金沙江流域、鄱阳湖流域、嘉陵江流域和湖口及以下干流地区气温升高有利于生态环境质量改善。⑤降水增多有利于大部分地区生态环境质量改善。[结论]2001—2021年流域生态环境质量整体以不变趋势为主,但嘉陵江流域生态呈现退化现象需要引起政府重视,尽快提出一系列生态修复措施,防止其生态环境进一步恶化。
