Monolayers of layered materials,such as graphite and molybdenum dichalcogenides,have been the focus of materials science in the last ***,we reveal benign stability and intriguing physical properties in the thinnest monolayer wurtzite(wz)semiconductors,which can be exfoliated from their bulk and stacked to reform the wz *** candidate ZnX and CdX(X=S,Se,Te)monolayers possess low cleavage energy and direct bandgaps,which harbor strongly coupled ferroelectricity and ferroelasticity with low transition barriers,giant in-plane negative Poisson’s ratio,as well as giant Rashba spin splitting,enabling the co-tunability of spin splitting and auxetic magnitudes via multiferroic *** wz monolayers can be used as building blocks of devices structures,due to their inherent“self-healable”capacity,which offer more flexibility for semiconductor fabrication and provide a natural platform to probe the interplay of multiple physical effects,bringing light into the rich physics in tetrahedral semiconductors.

Quantitative real-time RT-PCR detection for CEA, CK20 and CK19 mRNA in peripheral blood of colorectal cancer patients

This study is aimed at establishing a sensitive approach to detect disseminated tumor cells in peripheral blood and evaluate its clinical significance. A total of 198 blood samples including 168 from colorectal carcinoma (CRC) patients and 30 from healthy volunteers were examined by quantitative real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) to evaluate the expression of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), cytokeratin 20 (CK20) and cytokeratin 19 (CK19) mRNA. CEA mRNA was detected in 35.8% of patients and 3.3% of controls, CK20 mRNA in 28.3% of patients and 6.7% of controls, and CK19 mRNA in 41.9% of patients and 3.3% of controls. CEA and CK20 mRNA positive ratio increased with the advancing Dukes stages, but there was no significant difference in positive ratio between any two stages (P>0.05). Also, relatively high positive ratio of CEA, CK20 and CK19 mRNA expression was observed in some CRC patients with earlier Dukes stages. A higher positive ratio was obtained when two or three detection markers were combined compared to a single marker. Our study indicates that quanti-tative real-time RT-PCR detection for CEA, CK20 and CK19 mRNA in peripheral blood is a valuable tool for monitoring early stage dissemination of CRC cells in blood circulation.

The machining accuracy of computer numerical control machine tools has always been a focus of the manufacturing *** all errors,thermal error affects the machining accuracy *** of the significant impact of Industry 4.0 on machine tools,existing thermal error modeling methods have encountered unprecedented challenges in terms of model complexity and capability of dealing with a large number of time series data.A thermal error modeling method is proposed based on bidirectional long short-term memory(BiLSTM)deep learning,which has good learning ability and a strong capability to handle a large group of dynamic data.A four-layer model framework that includes BiLSTM,a feedforward neural network,and the max pooling is *** elaborately designed algorithm is proposed for better and faster model *** window length of the input sequence is selected based on the phase space reconstruction of the time *** model prediction accuracy and model robustness were verified experimentally by three validation tests in which thermal errors predicted by the proposed model were compensated for real workpiece *** average depth variation of the workpiece was reduced from approximately 50μm to less than 2μm after *** reduction in maximum depth variation was more than 85%.The proposed model was proved to be feasible and effective for improving machining accuracy significantly.

The grain growth（GG）behavior of Inconel 625 superalloy was studied in the temperature range of 900-1 250 ℃and holding time range of 10-80 *** of the alloy were characterized by optical metallography,scanning electron microscopy（SEM）and transmission electron microscopy（TEM）.Grains grew obviously with either increasing temperature or extending holding time at temperatures above 1 050℃.However,at temperatures lower than 1 050 ℃,the GG was sluggish due to the pinning effect of carbide particles on grain boundary（GB）.Threshold temperature for transition from mixed grain structure to uniform one was considered to be around 1 100℃.Once the temperatures surpassed 1 200℃,an instant increase in the grain size occurred showing no dependence on holding *** analysis showed that the dominant second phase formed heterogeneously on the GB was M6 C,which significantly impeded grain *** the basis of experimental data,the mathematical model of GG was established,which can describe GG behavior of Inconel 625 alloy during solution treatment（ST）at 1 100-1 250 ℃.The activation energy for GG of Inconel 625 alloy was 207.3kJ,which suggested that the GG of Inconel 625 alloy was controlled by the process of GB diffusion.

Multi-scale object detection is a research hotspot,and it has critical applications in many secure *** the object detection algorithms have constantly been progressing recently,how to perform highly accurate and reliable multi-class object detection is still a challenging task due to the influence of many factors,such as the deformation and occlusion of the object in the actual *** more interference factors,the more complicated the semantic information,so we need a deeper network to extract deep ***,deep neural networks often suffer from network *** prevent the occurrence of degradation on deep neural networks,we put forth a new model using a newly-designed Pre-ReLU,which inserts a ReLU layer before the convolution layer for the sake of preventing network degradation and ensuring the performance of deep *** structure can transfer the semantic information more smoothly from the shallow to the deep ***,the deep networks will encounter not only degradation,but also a decline in ***,to speed up the two-stage detector,we divide the feature map into many groups so as to diminish the number of ***,calculation speed has been enhanced,achieving a balance between speed and *** mathematical demonstration,a Balanced Loss(BL)is proposed by a balance factor to decrease the weight of the negative sample during the training phase to balance the positives and ***,our detector demonstrates rosy results in a range of experiments and gains an mAP of 73.38 on PASCAL VOC2007,which approaches the requirement of many security systems.

Li-ion batteries(LIBs)have demonstrated great promise in electric vehicles and hybrid electric ***,commercial graphite materials,the current predominant anodes in LIBs,have a low theoretical capacity of only 372 mAh·g?1,which cannot meet the everincreasing demand of LIBs for high energy *** Si is considered an ideal form of Si for the fabrication of LIB anodes as Si–C *** of nanoscale Si in a facile,cost-effective way,however,still poses a great *** this work,nanoscale Si was prepared by a controlled magnesiothermic reaction using diatomite as the Si *** was found that the nanoscale Si prepared under optimized conditions(800°C,10 h)can deliver a high initial specific capacity(3053 mAh·g?1 on discharge,2519 mAh·g?1 on charge)with a high first coulombic efficiency(82.5%).When using sand-milled diatomite as a precursor,the obtained nanoscale Si exhibited a well-dispersed morphology and had a higher first coulombic efficiency(85.6%).The Si–C(Si:graphite=1:7 in weight)composite using Si from the sand-milled diatomite demonstrated a high specific capacity(over 700 mAh·g?1 at 100 mA·g?1),good rate capability(587 mAh·g?1 at 500 mA·g?1),and a long cycle life(480 mAh·g?1 after 200 cycles at 500 mA·g?1).This work gives a facile method to synthesize nanoscale Si with both high capacity and high first coulombic efficiency.

Considering a double-headed Brownian motor moving with both translational and rotational degrees of freedom,we investigate the directed transport properties of the system in a traveling-wave *** is found that the traveling wave provides the essential condition of the directed transport for the system,and at an appropriate angular frequency,the positive current can be optimized.A general current reversal appears by modulating the angular frequency of the traveling wave,noise intensity,external driving force and the rod *** transforming the dynamical equation in traveling-wave potential into that in a tilted potential,the mechanism of current reversal is *** both cases of Gaussian and Lévy noises,the currents show similar dependence on the ***,the current in the tilted potential shows a typical stochastic resonance *** external driving force has also a resonance-like effect on the current in the tilted *** the current in the traveling-wave potential exhibits the reverse behaviors of that in the tilted ***,the currents obviously depend on the stability index of the Lévy noise under certain conditions.

Intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH)is the most serious type of *** level of thrombin is found in the ***-specific protease(USP)31,a member of deubiquitinating enzymes family,has been found to negatively regulate the NF-κB ***,the function of USP31 in ICH remains largely *** the present study,the mRNA and protein expression levels of USP31 were measured by real-time PCR and western *** cytometry was used to measure cell apoptosis and the level of reactive oxygen species(ROS).In the current study,we found the mRNA level of USP31 was decreased in peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs)from the patients with *** stimulated cell apoptosis,and increased the ROS level,the productions of interleukin-1β(IL-1β),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1),but it decreased the expression level of USP31 in BV-2 *** agreement,USP31 overexpressing could alleviate these effects caused by ***31 partially reversed the thrombin induced increase of nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB)***,NF-κB inhibitor could alleviate the effects induced by USP31 *** addition,USP31 decreased the ubiquitination level of IκBα,which might contribute to the depression of NF-κB *** conclusions,USP31 played a role in the ICH might via regulating NF-κB signaling pathway.

A novel PIK3CD C896T mutation detected in bilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss using next generation sequencing:An indication of primary immunodeficiency

Objective:To investigate immune-related genetic background in bilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL). Case report and methods: The case is a 45-year-old man presenting with a 7-year history of bilateral profound SSNHL. Blood biochemical testing demonstrated increased levels of total cholesterol (5.88 mmol/L). Tests for hepatitis B showed a positive antibody against the hepatitis B core antigen. Complement C3 was below the normal value, and complement C4 and IgG were in the lower range of normal values. CT images showed a normal inner ear and vestibular aqueduct but round window membranous ossification on both sides. A total number of 232 immune-associated genes were sequenced using the next generation sequencing technique. Results: Mutations were detected in 5 genes, including the phosphoinositide 3-kinase catalytic subunit delta (PIK3CD), caspase recruitment domain-containing protein 9 (CARD9), complement factor H-related (CFHR2), immunoglobulin lambda-like polypeptide 1 Protein (IGLL1), and transmembrane channel-like gene family 8 (TMC8). In the PIK3CD gene, a C896T substitute in exon 7 was detected. This mutation causes primary immunodeficiency and is an autosomal dominant disease. Conclusion: The PIK3CD C896T mutation responsible for primary immunodeficiency may contribute to the onset of bilateral SSNHL with subsequent rapid progression.
