CONSTANS(CO) and CONSTANS-LIKE(COL) transcription factors are known to regulate a series of cellular processes, including the transition from vegetative growth to flower development in plants. However, their role in regulating the fruit chlorophyll content is poorly understood. In this study, SlCOL1, the tomato(Solanum lycopersicum) ortholog of Arabidopsis CONSTANS, was shown to play key roles in controlling fruit chlorophyll. The suppression of SlCOL1 expression led to a reduction in the chlorophyll content of immature green fruit, while the overexpression of SlCOL1 increased it. An analysis of protein–protein interactions indicated that SlCOL1 forms a complex with GOLDEN2-LIKE(GLK2), which promotes the stability of its protein. The overexpression of SlCOL1in the glk2 null mutation background of tomato failed to promote chlorophyll accumulation in the immature green fruit, which suggests that GLK2 is required for the function of SlCOL1 in regulating chlorophyll content. These results shed new light on the mechanisms used by COL1 and GLK2 to regulate fruit development and chlorophyll accumulation in tomato.

Honeybees and bumblebees play a crucial role as essential *** special gut microbiome of social bees is a key factor in determining the overall fitness and health of the *** bees harbor relatively simple microbial communities at the genus level,recent studies have unveiled significant genetic divergence and variations in gene content within each bacterial ***,a comprehensive and refined genomics-based taxonomic database specific to social bee gut microbiomes remains ***,we first provided an overview of the current knowledge on the distribution and function of social bee gut bacteria,as well as the factors that influence the gut population *** then consolidated all available genomes of the gut bacteria of social bees and refined the species-level taxonomy,by constructing a maximum-likelihood core genome phylogeny and calculating genome-wide pairwise average nucleotide *** the basis of the refined species taxonomy,we constructed a curated genomic reference database,named the bee gut microbe genome sequence database(BGM-GDb).To evaluate the species-profiling performance of the curated BGM-GDb,we retrieved a series of bee gut metagenomic data and inferred the species-level composition using metagenomic intra-species diversity analysis system(MIDAS),and then compared the results with those obtained from a prebuilt MIDAS *** found that compared with the default database,the BGM-GDb excelled in aligned read counts and bacterial ***,this high-resolution and precise genomic reference database will facilitate research in understanding the gut community structure of social bees.

Chemotherapy is regarded as a widely used and effective treatment strategy for lung cancer,although most conventional chemotherapeutics cause severe toxic side-effects due to their indiscriminate attacks on both cancerous and normal *** nucleic acid nanomaterials are emerging as a promising drug delivery strategy,their clinical applications are limited by rapid degradation by nucleases and difficulties in targeting cancer *** this study,we have developed a Rhein-loaded aptamer-based DNA nanotube(DNT-S6@Rhein)for the targeted and efficient therapy of non-small cell lung *** the palindrome segments,two specified oligonucleotides were hybridized and folded into the well-defined nanotubes(DNT-S6),with the S6 aptamer distributed *** obtained nanotubes exhibited excellent serum stability and targeting ability towards A549 cells due to the firm structure and decoration of the S6 ***,as an antitumor drug and DNA intercalator,can be effectively inserted into the *** drug-loaded nanotubes rapidly disassembled in intracellular environment and then the released Rhein was found to activate cellular apoptotic process and significantly suppress proliferation,migration and invasion of A549 ***,DNT-S6@Rhein could efficiently accumulate in tumor regions,offering compelling therapeutic efficacy and biocompatibility under both in vitro and in vivo *** findings of this study provide a promising strategy for mitigating the inevitable systemic side-effects of chemotherapy and expand the potential application of DNA nanostructure on targeted drug delivery.

Aminoglycosides are a widely used class of antibacterials renowned for their effectiveness and broad antimicrobial ***,their use leads to irreversible hearing damage by causing apoptosis of hair cells as their direct *** addition,the hearing damage caused by aminoglycosides involves damage of spiral ganglion neurons upon *** investigate the mechanisms underlying spiral ganglion neuron degeneration induced by aminoglycosides,we used a C57BL/6J mouse model treated with *** found that the mice exhibited auditory deficits following the acute loss of outer hair *** ganglion neurons displayed hallmarks of pyroptosis and exhibited progressive degeneration over *** profiling of these neurons showed significant upregulation of genes associated with inflammation and immune response,particularly those related to the NLRP3 *** of the canonical pyroptotic pathway in spiral ganglion neurons was observed,accompanied by infiltration of macrophages and the release of proinflammatory *** intervention targeting NLRP3 using Mcc950 and genetic intervention using NLRP3 knockout ameliorated spiral ganglion neuron degeneration in the injury *** findings suggest that NLRP3 inflammasome-mediated pyroptosis plays a role in aminoglycoside-induced spiral ganglion neuron *** of this pathway may offer a potential therapeutic strategy for treating sensorineural hearing loss by reducing spiral ganglion neuron degeneration.

Advanced chiral optical materials exhibiting circularly polarized room-temperature phosphorescence（CPRTP） possess significant research value. This study facilitates the synthesis of chiral metal-organic frameworks（CMOFs） with good CPRTP performance by implementing a dual-ligand strategy. By self-assembling the luminescent ligand H2BIIM with the chiral ligands L-or D-H2IDPA in the presence of Zn（II） ions, two robust three-dimensional（3D） CMOFs were successfully constructed. These complexes demonstrated intense fluorescence and exhibited prolonged yellow room-temperature phosphorescence（RTP） with a duration of up to 6 s. Notably, they exhibited both circularly polarized fluorescence(glum= ±7.57 × 10-3) and CPRTP(glum=±2.68 × 10-3). These unique properties were effectively utilized in the creation of multi-color anti-counterfeiting patterns,underscoring their promising potential for a wide range of applications.
