Background Respiratory syncytial virus(RSV)is the leading global cause of respiratory infections and is responsible for about 3 million hospitalizations and more than 100,000 deaths annually in children younger than 5 years,representing a major global healthcare *** is a great unmet need for new agents and universal strategies to prevent RSV infections in early life.A multidisciplinary consensus development group comprising experts in epidemiology,infectious diseases,respiratory medicine,and methodology aims to develop the current consensus to address clinical issues of RSV infections in *** sources The evidence searches and reviews were conducted using electronic databases,including PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,and the Cochrane Library,using variations in terms for"respiratory syncytial virus","RSV","lower respiratory tract infection","bronchiolitis","acute","viral pneumonia","neonatal","infant""children",and"pediatric".Results Evidence-based recommendations regarding diagnosis,treatment,and prevention were proposed with a high degree of *** supportive care remains the cornerstone for the management of RSV infections,new monoclonal antibodies,vaccines,drug therapies,and viral surveillance techniques are being rolled *** This consensus,based on international and national scientific evidence,reinforces the current recommendations and integrates the recent advances for optimal care and prevention of RSV *** improvements in the management of RSV infections will require generating the highest quality of evidence through rigorously designed studies that possess little bias and sufficient capacity to identify clinically meaningful end points.

Background We explored the differences in baseline characteristics, pathogens, complications, outcomes, and risk factorsbetween children with hospital-acquired septic shock (HASS) and community-acquired septic shock (CASS) in the pediatricintensive care unit (PICU).Methods This retrospective study enrolled children with septic shock at the PICU of Beijing Children’s Hospital from January1, 2016, to december 31, 2019. The patients were followed up until 28 days after shock or death and were divided intothe HASS and CASS group. Logistic regression analysis was used to identify risk factors for *** A total of 298 children were enrolled. Among them, 65.9% (n = 91) of HASS patients had hematologic/oncologicdiseases, mainly with Gram-negative bacterial bloodstream infections (47.3%). Additionally, 67.7% (n = 207) of CASSpatients had no obvious underlying disease, and most experienced Gram-positive bacterial infections (30.9%) of the respiratoryor central nervous system. The 28-day mortality was 62.6% and 32.7% in the HASS and CASS groups, respectively(P dence interval (CI) = 0.992–1.000, P = 0.028], positive pathogendetection (OR = 3.557, 95% CI = 1.307–9.684, P = 0.013), and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (OR = 10.953, 95%CI = 1.974–60.775, P = 0.006) were risk factors for 28-day mortality in HASS patients. Lactate (OR = 1.104, 95% CI = 1.022–1.192, P = 0.012) and mechanical ventilation (OR = 8.114, 95% CI = 1.806–36.465, P = 0.006) were risk factors for 28-daymortality in patients with *** The underlying diseases, pathogens, complications, prognosis, and mortality rates varied widely between theHASS and CASS groups. A star coloring of an undirected graph G is a proper coloring of G such that no path of length 3 in G is bicolored. The star chromatic number of an undirected graph G, denoted by xs（G）, is the smallest integer k for which G admits a star coloring with k colors. In this paper, we show that if G is a graph with maximum degree A, then xs（G） ≤ [7△3/2]], which gets better bound than those of Fertin, Raspaud and Reed.

The trajectory tracking control performance of nonholonomic wheeled mobile robots(NWMRs)is subject to nonholonomic constraints,system uncertainties,and external *** paper proposes a barrier function-based adaptive sliding mode control(BFASMC)method to provide high-precision,fast-response performance and robustness for *** with the conventional adaptive sliding mode control,the proposed control strategy can guarantee that the sliding mode variables converge to a predefined neighborhood of origin with a predefined reaching time independent of the prior knowledge of the uncertainties and disturbances *** advantage of the proposed algorithm is that the control gains can be adaptively adjusted to follow the disturbances amplitudes thanks to the barrier *** benefit is that the overestimation of control gain can be eliminated,resulting in chattering ***,a modified barrier function-like control gain is employed to prevent the input saturation problem due to the physical limit of the *** stability analysis and comparative experiments demonstrate that the proposed BFASMC can ensure the prespecified convergence performance of the NWMR system output variables and strong robustness against uncertainties/disturbances.

Characterization of size-resolved effective density of atmospheric particles in an urban atmosphere in Southern China

Effective density(ρ_(eff))is one of the most important physical properties of atmospheric particles,providing important references in exploring the emissions and aging processes of fresh *** this study,a combined system of differential mobility analyzer,centrifugal particle mass analyzer,and condensation particle counter was used to periodically measure theρ_(eff)of atmospheric particles in Shenzhen from Oct.2021 to *** showed that theρ_(eff)of particles with various size presented a bimodal distribution,which could be divided into main density(ρ_(m),main peak,corresponding to relatively dense particles after aging)and sub density(ρ_(s),sub peak,corresponding to fresh particles).The occurrence frequencies ofρ_(s)of particles with diameters of 50 and 80 nm were less than 20%,but were as high as about 40%of that with diameters from 120 to 350 ***ρ_(m)showed increasing trend with the size of particles,whileρ_(s)decreased as the increasing of the size of ***ρ_(eff)on pollution day varied significantly with chemical *** increasing of the proportion of sulfate could promote the increasing ofρ_(eff),while black carbon and organic matter caused opposite effects,which may be related to various factors,including the difference of the material density and morphology of various chemical ***ρ_(eff)of 50,80 and 120 nm particles decreased considerably during the new particle formation event,indicating that organic condensation was an important contributor to new particle growth.

Solving non-Hermitian quantum many-body systems on a quantum computer by minimizing the variational energy is challenging as the energy can be ***,we propose a variational quantum algorithm for solving the non-Hermitian Hamiltonian by minimizing a type of energy variance,where zero variance can naturally determine the eigenvalues and the associated left and right ***,the energy is set as a parameter in the cost function and can be tuned to scan the whole spectrum efficiently by using a two-step optimization *** numerical simulations,we demonstrate the algorithm for preparing the left and right eigenstates,verifying the biorthogonal relations,as well as evaluating the *** also investigate the impact of quantum noise on our algorithm and show that its performance can be largely improved using error mitigation ***,our work suggests an avenue for solving non-Hermitian quantum many-body systems with variational quantum algorithms on near-term noisy quantum computers.

Since electromagnetic pollution is detrimental to human health and the environment, numerous efforts have been successively made to achieve excellent electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness(EMI SE) via designing the hierarchical structures for electromagnetic interference(EMI) shielding polymer composites. Among the plentiful structures, the asymmetric structures are currently a hot spot, principally categorizing into multi-layered, porous, fibrous, and segregated asymmetric structures, which endows the high EMI shielding performance for polymer composites incorporated with magnetic, conductive, and/or dielectric micro/nano-fillers, due to the “absorption-reflection-reabsorption” shielding mechanism. Therefore, this review provides the retrospection and summary of the efforts with respect to abundant asymmetric structures and multifunctional micro/nano-fillers for enhancing EMI shielding properties, which is conducive to the booming development of polymeric EMI shielding materials for the promising prospect in modern electronics and 5-generation(5G) technology.

Sustainable development goals(SDGs)and fossil energy are the core elements of almost all major challenges and opportunities for achieving social ***,energy sustainability has become one of the pivotal drivers of China’s *** study constructed a comprehensive evaluation index system for the provincial-level sustainable development of fossil energy in China covering three major dimensions(socio-economic,resource,and environmental).Moreover,a set of criteria for measuring the SDGs of fossil energy at the national level in China was *** on the provincial panel data collected from 30 provinces from 2010 through 2019,a spatial econometric model was applied to empirically evaluate the effects of SDGs on fossil energy *** results showed that the SDGs not only promote the reduction of fossil energy consumption with substantial negative spatial spillover effects,but also revealed differences between northern and southern *** promote the early achievement of sustainable fossil energy development in China,the transformation and upgradation of fossil energy systems should be conducted early and inter-regional cooperation should be strengthened according to local conditions to jointly achieve the SDGs.
