Depositional Characteristics of Deltas and Their Relationship with Hydrocarbon Accumulation in the North Slope, Biyang Depression

Tectonic movements in the North Slope of Biyang Depression are comparatively mild and stable, thus generating two categories of deltas. Elementary reasons for the coexistence of deltas are the existence of the palaeodrainage pattern and the effect of palaeotopography. The sedimentary facies is the most elementary factor controlling the physical property of reservoirs. The layout and spatial combination model of the sand body and faults are the major influential factors on the occurrence of hydrocarbons. Comparative study on Houzhang and Yanglou Braided Deltas as well as Zhangchang and Gucheng Meandering Deltas suggests that the hydrocarbons distribute primarily in the mouth bar subfacies and secondarily in the distal bar subfacies of the braided delta, while the oil-water and aqueous layers are mainly found in the subaquatic distributary channel. Although the sand body of the meandering delta has excellent stratification and high porosity, the thickness is far less than that of the braided delta. Therefore, the yield of hydrocarbon is relatively low. The mudstone of the delta front subfacies is a kind of source rock with a high content of organic matter. The conducting system for oil/gas migration in the North Slope is a composite one comprising faults and sand- stone reservoirs. A large amount of oil/gas from the deep depression first migrated towards the slope along the sand body which stretches and connects with the source rocks, and then redistributed along the faults in the slope. After the movement reached a standstill, the faults formed the occlusion in the up-dip direction of the sand body, generating a great quantity of fault block hydrocarbon reservoirs in the Noah Slope.

With one-and two-dimensional particle-in-cell(PIC)codes,we simulate the generation of high power terahertz(THz)emission from the interaction of ultrashort intense lasers with tenuous plasma and gas *** driving high-amplitude electron plasma waves either with a laser wakefield or the beatwave of two laser pulses,powerful THz electromagnetic pulses can be produced by linear mode conversion in inhomogeneous plasma or by the transient current induced at the surfaces of a thin plasma layer of few plasma *** with incident lasers at moderate intensity such as 1017W/cm2,the produced emission can be at the level of tens of MW in power and capable of affording field strengths of a few MV/cm,suitable for the studies of THz nonlinear *** field ionization included in the PIC codes,THz emission from laser interaction with tenuous gas targets is *** is found that the transient transverse current formed during the ionization processes is responsible for the THz *** this mechanism,onemay also obtain THz fields ofMV/cm at lower laser intensity as compared with the schemes of plasma-wave excitation.

Background:To compare the safety and efficacy of iontophoresis-assisted epithelial-on corneal crosslinking(I-CXL)using 0.1%riboflavin-distilled water solution with standard epithelium-off corneal crosslinking(S-CXL)for progressive ***:In a retrospective analysis,progressive keratoconus patients treated with I-CXL(17 eyes of 17 patients)or S-CXL(13 eyes of 13 patients)were *** patients were followed up at least 12 *** patients underwent detailed ophthalmologic examinations involving pre-and postoperative visual acuity,topographic parameters and ***-and postoperative complications were ***:No statistically significant differences were observed between the two groups at baseline with respect to visual acuity,age and thinnest corneal thickness(TCT).The postoperative decreases of K1 and Kmean in the S-CXL group represented statistically significantly better results than in the I-CXL group(t=2.093 and 2.123,P=0.046 and 0.043,respectively).Alterations of other parameters showed no significant differences between the two *** were no failure cases in the two ***:I-CXL using 0.1%riboflavin-distilled water solution provided effective treatment for progressive keratoconus at 12-month ***,the decreases of K1 and Kmean caused by I-CXL were less than those by *** treatment time,postoperative patient pain and risk of infection in I-CXL are all less than those in S-CXL,I-CXL is unable to completely replace S-CXL for progressive keratoconus temporarily.

We find tight upper bound on the coherence of a superposition of two states in terms of the coherence of the two states constituting the superposition with l1-norm of coherence. Our upper bound is tighter than the one presented by Liu, et al. [Quantum Inf. Process. 15(2016) 4209.] We also generalize the results to the case that the superposition is constituted with more than two states in high dimension, and we give the corresponding upper bounds.

A simple method was proposed to activate alkaline Cu(OH)_(2)with an acidic ionomer,Nafion,to regulate its surface microenvironment,including hydrophobicity and local *** particular,the direct complete neutralization reaction between Cu(OH)_(2)and Nafion in aqueous solution induces the exposing of vast anions which can exclude the in-situ-formed hydroxides and raise the local ***,the optimal Nafionactivated Cu(OH)_(2)-derived Cu can efficiently suppress the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and improve the selectivity for multi-carbon products in the CO_(2)electroreduction reaction(eCO_(2)RR).The H2 Faradaic efficiency(FE)decreased to 11%at a current density of 300 mA/cm2(−0.76 V ***)in a flow cell,while the bare one with H2 had an FE of 40%.The total eCO_(2)RR FE reaches as high as 83%,along with an evidently increased C2H4 FE of 44%as compared with the bare one(24%),and good stability(8000 s),surpassing that of most of the reported Cu(OH)_(2)-derived *** experimental and theoretical results both show that the strong hydrophobicity and high local basicity jointly boosted the eCO_(2)RR as acquired by felicitously introducing ionomer on the Cu(OH)_(2)-derived Cu surface.

In this work, the mesophase properties were tuned via mixing two discotic molecules with structural complementarity. Compared with the liquid crystalline hexakis（n-hexyloxy）triphenylene（H6TP）materials（columnar hexagonal phase from 53 ℃ to 91 ℃）, mesophase types as well as phase transition temperatures varied with the introduction of crystalline hexaazatriphenylene derivative（PBH）molecules. The introduction of less than 33% amount of PBH disrupted the columnar hexagonal phase formed by H6 TP remarkably, followed by the decreased clearing temperatures of liquid crystals. As the PBH amount was further increased, the destroyed columnar hexagonal phase was turned into the columnar rectangular phase, in which H6 TP and PBH molecules together formed the columnar mesophase. The formation of new mesophase contributed to the enlarged mesophase temperature（from44 ℃ to 144 ℃）. We speculated that the alkyl chains interaction induced by the PBH component competed with the strong p–p stacking between H6 TP molecules, thus altering the liquid crystalline properties including mesophase types and phase transition temperatures.

The optical properties of aerosol as well as their impacting factors were investigated at a suburb site in Nanjing during autumn from 14 to 28 November 2012. More severe pollution was found together with lower visibility. The average scattering and absorption coefficients（B sca and B abs） were 375.7 ± 209.5 and 41.6 ± 18.7 Mm^（-1）, respectively. Higher ？ngstr？m absorption and scattering exponents were attributed to the presence of more aged aerosol with smaller particles. Relative humidity（RH） was a key factor affecting aerosol extinction. High RH resulted in the impairment of visibility, with hygroscopic growth being independent of the dry extinction coefficient. The hygroscopic growth factor was 1.8 ± 1.2 with RH from 19% to 85%.Light absorption was enhanced by organic carbon（OC）, elemental carbon（EC） and EC coatings,with contributions of 26%, 44% and 75%（532 nm）, respectively. The B sca and B abs increased with increasing N_（100）（number concentration of PM_（2.5）with diameter above 100 nm）, PM_1 surface concentration and PM_（2.5）mass concentration with good correlation.
