The synergistic effect of polyethylene glycol(PEG)and poly(2-methacry-loyloxyethyl phosphorytcholine)(PMPC)can effectively reduce the protein absorption,which is beneficial to ***,PEG-PMPC-based polymers have rarely been used as nanocarriers in the theranostic field due to their limited modifiability and weak interaction with other ***,a plain method was proposed to endow them with the probable ability of loading small active agents,and the relationship between the structure and the ability of loading hydrophobic agents was explored,thus expanding their ***,mPEG-PMPC or 4-arm-PEG-PMPC polymer was synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP)using mPEG-Br or 4-arm-PEG-Br as the *** a strong hydrophobic segment,poly(butyl methacrylate)(PBMA),was introduced and the ability to load small hydrophobic agents was further *** results showed that linear mPEG-PMPC-PBMA could form micelles 50-80 nm in size and load the hydrophobic agent such as Nile red *** contrast,star-like 4-arm-PEG-PMPC-PBiyiA,a monomolecular micelle(10-20 nm),could hardly load any hydrophobic *** work highlights effective strategies for engineering PEG-PMPC-based polymers and may facilitate the further application in numerous fields.

Rechargeable metal-ion batteries, such as lithium-ion batteries(liBs) and sodium-ion batteries(SIBs),have raised more attention because of the large demand for energy storage solutions. Undoubtedly, electrode materials and electrolytes are key parts of batteries, exhibiting critical influence on the reversible capacity and span life of the metal-ion battery. Nonetheless, researchers commonly express concerns regarding the stability of both electrodes and electrolytes. Given its commendable stability attributes,high-entropy materials have garnered widespread acclaim and have been applied in many fields since their inception, notably in energy storage. However, while certain high-entropy designs have achieved substantial breakthroughs, some have failed to meet anticipated outcomes within the high energy density energy storage materials. Moreover, there is a lack of comprehensive summary research on the corresponding mechanisms and design principles of high-entropy designs. This review examines the current high-entropy designs for cathodes, anodes, and electrolytes, aiming to summarize the design principle,potential mechanisms, and electrochemical performance. We focus on their structural characteristics,interface characteristics, and prospective development trends. At last, we provide a fair evaluation along-side succinct development suggestions.

Coastal zones and many small islands are highly susceptible to sea-level rise(SLR). Coastal zones have a large exposed population and integrated high-value assets, and islands provide diverse ecosystem services to millions of people worldwide. The coastal zones and small islands affected by SLR are likely to suffer from submergence, flooding and erosion in the future. However, very few studies have addressed the heterogeneity in SLR changes and the potential risk to coastal zones and small islands. Here we used the mean sea level(MSL) derived from satellite altimetry data to analyse the trends and accelerations of SLRs along global coastal zones and small islands. We found that except for the Antarctic coastal zone, the annual MSL within 50 km of the coasts presented an increasing trend of 3.09 ± 0.13 mm a^-1 but a decreasing acceleration of -0.02 ± 0.02 mm a^-2 from 1993 to 2017. The highest coastal MSL trend of3.85 ± 0.60 mm a^-1 appeared in Oceania, and the lowest trend of 2.32 ± 0.37 mm a^-1 occured in North America. Africa, North America and South America showed acceleration trends, and Eurasia, Australia and Oceania had deceleration trends. Further, MSLs around global small islands reflected an increasing trend with a rate of 3.01 ± 0.16 mm a^-1 but a negative acceleration of -0.02 ± 0.02 mm a^-2. Regional heterogeneity in the trends and accelerations of MSLs along the coasts and small islands suggests that stakeholders should take discriminating precautions to cope with future disadvantageous impacts of the SLR.

In this study, a novel nanoscale zero-valent iron（n ZVI） composite material was successfully synthesized using a low-cost natural clay, ＂Hangjin 2~#clay＂（HJ clay） as the support and tested for the decolorization of the azo dye Methyl Orange（MO） in aqueous solution by n ZVI particles. According to the characterization and MO decolorization experiments, the sample with 5：1 HJ clay-supported n ZVI（HJ/n ZVI） mass ratio（HJ-n ZVI5） showed the best dispersion and reactivity and the highest MO decolorization efficiency. With the same equivalent Fe0 dosage, the HJ-n ZVI1 and HJ-n ZVI5 samples demonstrated a synergetic effect for the decolorization of MO： their decolorization efficiencies were much higher than that achieved by physical mixing of HJ clay and n ZVIs, or the sum of HJ clay and n ZVIs alone. The synergetic effect was primarily due to the improved dispersion and more effective utilization of the n ZVI particles on/in the composite materials. Higher decolorization efficiency of MO was obtained at larger HJ-n ZVI dosage, higher temperature and under N2 atmosphere, while the MO initial concentration and p H were negatively correlated to the efficiency. HJ clay not only works as a carrier for n ZVI nanoparticles, but also contributes to the decolorization through an ＂adsorption-enhanced reduction＂ mechanism. The high efficiency of HJ-n ZVI for decontamination gives it great potential for use in a variety of remediation applications.

Highly efficient inorganic phosphors are desirable for lighting-emitting diode light sources,and increasing the doping concentration of activators is a common approach for enhancing the photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY).However,the constraint of concentration quenching poses a great challenge for improving the ***,we propose a fundamental design principle by separating activators and prolonging their distance in Eu^(2+)-activated Rb_(3)Y(PO_(4))_(2)phosphors to inhibit concentration quenching,in which different quenching rates are controlled by the Eu distribution at various crystallographic *** blue-violet-emitting Rb_(3)Y(PO_(4))2:xEu(x=0.1%–15%)phosphors,with the occupation of Rb1,Rb2 and Y sites by Eu^(2+),exhibit rapid luminescence quenching with optimum external PLQY of 10%due to multi-channel energy ***,as the Eu concentration increases above 20%,Eu^(2+)prefer to occupy the Rb1 and Y sites with separated polyhedra and large interionic distances,resulting in green emission with suppressed concentration quenching,achieving an improved external PLQY of 41%.Our study provides a unique design perspective for elevating the efficiency of Eu^(2+)-activated phosphors toward high-performance inorganic luminescent materials for full-spectrum lighting.

Image segmentation is a significant problem in image *** this paper,we propose a new two-stage scheme for segmentation based on the Fischer-Burmeister total variation(FBTV).The first stage of our method is to calculate a smooth solution from the FBTV Mumford-Shah ***,we design a new difference of convex algorithm(DCA)with the semi-proximal alternating direction method of multipliers(sPADMM)*** the second stage,we make use of the smooth solution and the K-means method to obtain the segmentation *** simulate images more accurately,a useful operator is introduced,which enables the proposed model to segment not only the noisy or blurry images but the images with missing pixels *** demonstrate the proposed method produces more preferable results comparing with some state-of-the-art methods,especially on the images with missing pixels.
