The reservoir characteristics and their controlling factors of the sublacustrine fan in the Paleogene Dongying Formation, Bohai Sea,China

Sublacustrine fan is an important element in continental lacustrine basins and is significant for reservoir exploration. Oil and gas resources have been found in the sublacustrine fan sandstone reservoirs of the Paleogene Dongying Formation in the Bohai Sea. In this study, the characteristics of the sublacustrine fan reservoirs and the controlling factors are studied using information from logging, cores, physical properties,casting thin sections, X-ray diffraction of clay minerals, vitrinite reflectance, rock pyrolysis, manometry data,and 3D seismic data. The sublacustrine fans of the Dongying Formation in the LD10, QHD34, and BZ21 structures show high-quality reservoirs with porosity >15 % and permeability >5 m D. The main controlling factors of the high-quality reservoirs are attributed to the favorable sedimentary facies type and negligible compaction,and cementation, substantial dissolution of K-feldspar, overpressure, and the development of faults and fractures. A high-quality sublacustrine fan reservoir model has been established to explain how these factors affected the physical properties. The favorable targets for oil and gas exploration in the Dongying Formation of Bohai Sea include undercompacted sandy debris flow reservoirs showing the dissolution of K-feldspar, and the reservoirs which are connected to the source rocks by faults. This study provides insights to establish the relationship between sedimentology, diagenesis and reservoir quality. The results of this study are significant for the exploration and development of the sublacustrine fan sandstone reservoirs in the Bohai Sea and analogous sandstone reservoirs elsewhere.

On-site rapid detection of multiple pesticide residues in tea leaves by lateral flow immunoassay

The application of pesticides (mostly insecticides and fungicides) during the tea-planting process will undoubtedly increase the dietary risk associated with drinking tea. Thus, it is necessary to ascertain whether pesticide residues in tea products exceed the maximum residue limits. However, the complex matrices present in tea samples comprise a major challenge in the analytical detection of pesticide residues. In this study, nine types of lateral flow immunochromatographic strips (LFICSs) were developed to detect the pesticides of interest (fenpropathrin, chlorpyrifos, imidacloprid, thiamethoxam, acetamiprid, carbendazim, chlorothalonil, pyraclostrobin, and iprodione). To reduce the interference of tea substrates on the assay sensitivity, the pretreatment conditions for tea samples, including the extraction solvent, extraction time, and purification agent, were optimized for the simultaneous detection of these pesticides. The entire testing procedure (including pretreatment and detection) could be completed within 30 min. The detected results of authentic tea samples were confirmed by ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS), which suggest that the LFICS coupled with sample rapid pretreatment can be used for on-site rapid screening of the target pesticide in tea products prior to their market release.

Evaluation of the binding affinity and antioxidant activity of phlorizin to pepsin and trypsin

Introduction:Acrodermatitis continua of Hallopeau(ACH)is an uncommon chronic cutaneous *** to date,its treatment is still difficult and frustrating although various topical and systemic agents alone or in different combinations have been tried with variable ***,we report two cases of ACH successfully treated with calcipotriol/betamethasone *** presentation:Two cases of ACH were characterized by thumb involvement alone and showed an excellent response to calcipotriol/betamethasone ointment(1 g:calcipotriol 50µg and betamethasone 0.5 mg).Discussion:Treatment of ACH is challenging for *** systemic therapies and topical drugs have been applied,however,no universally effective treatment regimen has yet been established for long-lasting *** of calcipotriol and betamethasone is more effective in treating psoriasis than the individual components alone,and the current 2 cases with ACH were reported to be treated successfully by the calcipotriol/betamethasone ***:Topical calcipotriol/betamethasone compound is an optional agent for the treatment of ACH with a novel effect.

Edge dislocation-induced strains break the limit of PtNi alloys in boosting Pt mass activity for efficient alkaline hydrogen evolution

Creating lattice defects and alloying to produce strain effect in Pt-based bimetallic alloys are both effective methods to optimize the crystal and electronic structure and improve the electrocatalytic ***,the principles that govern the alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)performance remain unclear,which is detrimental to the rational design of efficient Pt-based ***,PtNi alloys with different Pt/Ni ratios and edge dislocations were synthesized,and the effects of Pt/Ni composition and edge dislocations on the alkaline HER electrocatalytic activity of PtNi alloys were systematically *** experimental and theoretical investigations reveal that tuning Pt/Ni ratio results in only 1.1 times enhancements in Pt mass activity,whereas edge dislocations-induced extra tensile strain on Ni site and compressive strain on Pt site further boost the alkaline HER intrinsic activity at all Pt/Ni ***,the introduction of edge dislocations in PtNi alloys could break the limit of alloying in boosting Pt mass activity and result in up to 13.7-fold enhancement,in the case that Pt and Ni contents are nearly identical and thus edge dislocation density reaches the *** mechanism studies demonstrate that the edge dislocation strategy could make a breakthrough in facilitating water dissociation kinetics of PtNi alloys.

Influence of pore structure heterogeneity on channeling channels during hot water flooding in heavy oil reservoir based on CT scanning

Hot water flooding is an effective way to develop heavy oil reservoirs. However, local channeling channels may form, possibly leading to a low thermal utilization efficiency and high water cut in the reservoir. The pore structure heterogeneity is an important factor in forming these channels. This study proposes a method that mixes quartz sand with different particle sizes to prepare weakly heterogeneous and strongly heterogeneous models through which hot water flooding experiments are *** the experiments, computer tomography(CT) scanning identifies the pore structure and micro remaining oil saturation distribution to analyze the influence of the pore structure heterogeneity on the channeling channels. The oil saturation reduction and average pore size are divided into three levels to quantitatively describe the relationship between the channeling channel distribution and pore structure heterogeneity. The zone where oil saturation reduction exceeds 20% is defined as a channeling *** scanning area is divided into 180 equally sized zones based on the CT scanning images, and threedimensional(3D) distributions of the channeling channels are developed. Four micro remaining oil distribution patterns are proposed, and the morphology characteristics of micro remaining oil inside and outside the channeling channels are analyzed. The results show that hot water flooding is more balanced in the weakly heterogeneous model, and the oil saturation decreases by more than 20% in most zones without narrow channeling channels forming. In the strongly heterogeneous model, hot water flooding is unbalanced, and three narrow channeling channels of different lengths form. In the weakly heterogeneous model, the oil saturation reduction is greater in zones with larger pores. The distribution range of the average pore size is larger in the strongly heterogeneous model. Rare earth elements and transition metals have been found to improve the hydrogen storage characteristics of magnesium-based *** study investigated the Mg-Ho-Fe(MHF) ternary alloy prepared using the vacuum induction melting technique.X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),pressure-composition-temperature(PCT),and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) were used to analyze the alloy's phase transitions,microstructure,thermodynamics,and kinetic *** results reveal that the Mg_(98)Ho_(1.5)Fe_(0.5) alloy forms a solid solution with Ho and Fe in the magnesium *** hydrogen absorption,the activated alloy transforms into a mixture of Mg/MgH_(2) phases and nanoscale HoH_(2) ***,only the MgH_(2) phase decomposes during hydrogen desorption,while the HoH_(2) phase remains unchanged,exhibiting a positive catalytic *** alloy demonstrates excellent hydrogen absorption kinetics,achieving a capacity of 5.56 wt% H_(2) within 10 min at 360℃,owing to the combined catalytic effects of Ho and *** activation energy for hydrogen desorption is found to be 135.87 kJ/mol,which is lower than that of the activation energies of pure MgH_(2) and MgFe alloys,indicating an enhancement in desorption ***,the enthalpy and entropy changes for hydrogen absorption and desorption are determined to be-70.51 kJ/mol H_(2),-125.62 J/(K·mol) H_(2),72.83 kJ/mol H_(2),and 128.95 J/(K·mol) H_(2),***,it is worth noting that the thermodynamic properties of the alloy are improved due to the catalytic effect of Ho and Fe.

Influence of filler characteristics on particle removal in fluid catalytic cracking slurry under an alternating electric field

The characteristics of the packing material under an alternating electric field are an important factor in the removal of FCCS *** this study,the electric field distribution of a separation unit consisting of packed spheres under an alternating electric field is simulated,and the movement mechanism of catalyst particles is ***"effective contact point"model is derived to predict the adsorption of filler contact points on catalyst particles under the alternating electric field,and the model is validated by simulations and *** numerical calculation and experimental results indicate that the electrical properties of the filler spheres,the filler angleθ,and the frequency f of the alternating electric field affect the adsorption of catalyst *** the frequency of the electric field increases,the particle removal efficiency of the high-conductivity filler(silicon carbide)increases and then settles,and the separation efficiency of the low-conductivity filler(glass,zirconia)is not sensitive to the change in electric field frequency.
