Resolving the developmental mechanisms of cardiac microthrombosis of SARS-CoV-2 based on single-cell transcriptome analysis

The coronavirus disease 2019（COVID-19） outbreak caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2（SARS-CoV-2） developed into a global health emergency. Systemic microthrombus caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection is a common complication in patients with COVID-19. Cardiac microthrombosis as a complication of SARS-CoV-2 infection is the primary cause of cardiac injury and death in patietns with severe COVID-19. In this study, we performed single-cell sequencing analysis of the right ventricular free wall tissue from healthy donors,patients who died during the hypercoagulable period of characteristic coagulation abnormality（CAC）, and patients who died during the fibrinolytic period of CAC. We collected 61,187 cells enriched in 24 immune cell subsets and 13 cardiac-resident cell subsets. We found that in the course of SARS-CoV-2 infected heart microthrombus, MYO1EhighRASGEF1Bhighmonocyte-derived macrophages promoted hyperactivation of the immune system and initiated the extrinsic coagulation pathway by activating chemokines CCL3, CCL5. This series of events is the main cause of cardiac microthrombi following SARS-CoV-2 infection. In a SARS-CoV-2 infected heart microthrombus, excessive immune activation is accompanied by an increase in cellular iron content, which in turn promotes oxidative stress and intensifies intercellular competition. This induces cells to alter their metabolic environment, resulting in increased sugar uptake via the glycosaminoglycan synthesis pathway. In addition, high levels of reactive oxygen species generated by elevated iron levels promote increased endogenous malondialdehyde synthesis in a subpopulation of cardiac endothelial cells. This exacerbates endothelial cell dysfunction and exacerbates the coagulopathy process.

An object model-based tracking method is useful for tracking multiple objects, but the main difficulties are modeling objects reliably and tracking objects via models in successive frames. An effective tracking method using the object models is proposed to track multiple objects in a real-time visual surveillance system. Firstly, for detecting objects, an adaptive kernel density estimation method is utilized, which uses an adaptive bandwidth and features combining colour and gradient. Secondly, some models of objects are built for describing motion, shape and colour features. Then, a matching matrix is formed to analyze tracking situations. If objects are tracked under occlusions, the optimal ＂visual＂ object is found to represent the occluded object, and the posterior probability of pixel is used to determine which pixel is utilized for updating object models. Extensive experiments show that this method improves the accuracy and validity of tracking objects even under occlusions and is used in real-time visual surveillance systems.

Low-cost and fluoride-free synthesis of MFI zeolite nanosheets with enhanced stability for benzene alkylation with ethanol

Zeolite nanosheets with a short b-axis thickness are highly desirable in lots of catalytic reactions due to their reduced diffusion resistance. Nevertheless, conventional synthesis methods usually require expensive structure-directing agents(SDAs), pricey raw materials, and eco-unfriendly fluorine-containing additives. Here, we contributed a cost-effective and fluoride-free synthesis method for synthesizing high-quality MFI zeolite nanosheets through a Silicalite-1(Sil-1) seed suspension and urea cooperative strategy, only with inexpensive colloidal silica as the Si source. Our approach was effective for synthesizing both Sil-1 and aluminum-containing ZSM-5 nanosheets. By optimizing key synthesis parameters,including seed aging time, seed quantity, and urea concentration, we achieved precise control over the crystal face aspect ratio and b-axis thickness. We also revealed a non-classical oriented nanosheet growth mechanism, where Sil-1 seeds induced the formation of quasi-ordered precursor particles, and the(010)crystal planes of these particles facilitated urea adsorption, thereby promoting c-axis-oriented *** obtained ZSM-5 nanosheets exhibited exceptional catalytic performance in the benzene alkylation with ethanol, maintaining stability for over 500 h, which is 5 times longer than traditional ZSM-5 catalysts. Furthermore, large-scale production of ZSM-5 nanosheets was successfully carried out in a 3 L highpressure autoclave, yielding samples consistent with those from laboratory-scale synthesis. This work marks a significant step forward in the sustainable and efficient production of MFI nanosheets using inexpensive and environmentally friendly raw materials, offering the broad applicability in catalysis.

The tensile strain in inorganic perovskite films induced by thermal annealing is one of the primary factors contributing to the inefficiency and instability of inorganic perovskite solar cells （IPSCs）,which reduces the defect formation ***,a flexible molecule 5-maleimidovaleric acid （5-MVA） was introduced as a strain buffer to release the residual strain of *** anhydride and carboxyl groups in 5-MVA interact strongly with the uncoordinated Pb2+through Lewis acid-base reaction,thus tightly“pull”the perovskite *** in-between soft carbon chain increased the structural flexibility of CsPbI2.85Br0.15perovskite materials,which effectively relieved the intrinsic internal strain of CsPbI2.85Br0.15,resisted the corrosion of external strain,and also reduced the formation of defects such as VIand *** addition,the introduction of 5-MVA improved crystal quality,passivated residual defects,and narrowed energy level ***,power conversion efficiency （PCE） of NiOxbased inverted IPSCs increased from 19.25% to 20.82% with the open-circuit voltage enhanced from 1.164 V to 1.230 *** release of strain also improved the stability of CsPbI2.85Br0.15perovskite films and devices.

A robust neuro-adaptive controller for uncertain flexible joint robots is presented. This control scheme integrates H^infinity disturbance attenuation design and recurrent neural network adaptive control technique into the dy- namic surface control framework. Two recurrent neural networks are used to adaptively learn the uncertain functions in a flexible joint robot. Then, the effects of approximation error and filter error on the tracking performance are attenuated to a prescribed level by the embedded H-infinity controller, so that the desired H-infinity tracking performance can be achieved. Finally. simulation results verifv the effectiveness of the nronosed control scheme.

The problem of global robust asymptotical stability for a class of Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy neural networks（TSFNN） with discontinuous activation functions and time delays is investigated by using Lyapunov stability *** on linear matrix inequalities（LMIs）,we originally propose robust fuzzy control to guarantee the global robust asymptotical stability of *** with the existing literature,this paper removes the assumptions on the neuron activations such as Lipschitz conditions,bounded,monotonic increasing property or the right-limit value is bigger than the left one at the discontinuous ***,the results are more general and ***,two numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed stability results.

High-Order Control Barrier Function-Based Safety Control of Constrained Robotic Systems:An Augmented Dynamics Approach

Although constraint satisfaction approaches have achieved fruitful results, system states may lose their smoothness and there may be undesired chattering of control inputs due to switching characteristics. Furthermore, it remains a challenge when there are additional constraints on control torques of robotic systems. In this article, we propose a novel high-order control barrier function(HoCBF)-based safety control method for robotic systems subject to input-output constraints, which can maintain the desired smoothness of system states and reduce undesired chattering vibration in the control torque. In our design, augmented dynamics are introduced into the HoCBF by constructing its output as the control input of the robotic system,so that the constraint satisfaction is facilitated by HoCBFs and the smoothness of system states is maintained by the augmented dynamics. This proposed scheme leads to the quadratic program(QP), which is more user-friendly in implementation since the constraint satisfaction control design is implemented as an add-on to an existing tracking control law. The proposed closed-loop control system not only achieves the requirements of real-time capability, stability, safety and compliance, but also reduces undesired chattering of control inputs. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is verified by simulations and experiments on robotic manipulators.

By modulating the crystalline properties of the active layer with dual donors, the efficiency of organic solar cells reaches 19.23%.The introduction of PTzBI-dF suppresses the accumulation of traps and charge recombination, allowing ternary devices to maintain 82% of their initial power conversion efficiency (PCE) after illumination for 800 *** dual-donor strategy for modulating the crystallinity of the active layer is applicable to a variety of Y6 derivatives, and the increase in PCE exceeds 1%. Trap-assisted charge recombination is one of the primary limitations of restricting the performance of organic solar cells. However, effectively reducing the presence of traps in the photoactive layer remains challenging. Herein, wide bandgap polymer donor PTzBI-dF is demonstrated as an effective modulator for enhancing the crystallinity of the bulk heterojunction active layers composed of D18 derivatives blended with Y6, leading to dense and ordered molecular packings, and thus, improves photoluminescence quenching properties. As a result, the photovoltaic devices exhibit reduced trap-assisted charge recombination losses, achieving an optimized power conversion efficiency of over 19%. Besides the efficiency enhancement, the devices comprised of PTzBI-dF as a third component simultaneously attain decreased current leakage, improved charge carrier mobilities, and suppressed bimolecular charge recombination, leading to reduced energy losses. The advanced crystalline structures induced by PTzBI-dF and its characteristics, such as well-aligned energy level, and complementary absorption spectra, are ascribed to the promising performance improvements. Our findings suggest that donor phase engineering is a feasible approach to tuning the molecular packings in the active layer, providing guidelines for designing effective morphology modulators for high-performance organic solar cells.
