The corrosion form and mechanical properties deterioration of mooring chain steel in simulated deep-sea environments were *** the increase of ocean depth,not only the pressure increases,but also the dissolved oxygen content *** two factors affect corrosion evolution of mooring chain steel in simulated deep-sea environments,which was studied for the first *** with uniform corrosion of mooring chain steel in shallow sea with sufficient oxygen,low dissolved oxygen leads to the corrosion dominated by pitting with pit ***,hydrostatic pressure distinctly accelerates pitting initiation and *** higher the hydrostatic pressure is,the more serious the pitting *** failure mechanism of unstressed mooring chain steel serving in simulated deep-sea environments,both absorbed hydrogen and corrosion morphology can degrade the ductility of mooring chain steel,in which the leading factor depends on the service *** severe pitting is the main factor and causes remarkable ductility loss of the steel after long-term *** hydrogen plays an important role on elongation loss in early stage.

Discrimination of glycoproteins and cell types is a significant but difficult ***,we presented a novel fluorescence sensor array for the detection and identification of glycoproteins and cancer cells based on the specific affinity between boronic acid-containing carbon dots(BA-CDs)and cis-diol residues of *** differential binding affinity of three BA-CDs to various glycoproteins resulted in a different fluorescence turn-on signal pattern caused by aggregation-enhanced emission(AEE),along with negligible response from other ***,BA-CDs encompassing sensing elements and signal indicator into one can enable a fast and accurate discrimination of glycoproteins with simple and easy *** glycoproteins could be well discriminated at a very low concentration of 10 nmol/*** discriminating capability of glycoproteins is not sacrificed in both human urine and ***,different glycoprotein compositions of cancer cells provide more recognizable features for identification of cancer cells,comparing to the total *** cell types could be identified in 15 min at a low concentration of 1000 cells/*** method is fast,accurate,and easy operation,and has a potential application in cancer diagnosis.

In this paper,we present a distributed framework for the lidar-based relative state estimator which achieves highly accurate,real-time trajectory estimation of multiple Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)in GPS-denied *** system builds atop a factor graph,and only on-board sensors and computing power are *** from the keyframe strategy,each UAV performs relative state estimation individually and broadcasts very partial information without exchanging raw *** complete system runs in real-time and is evaluated with three experiments in different *** results show that the proposed distributed approach offers comparable performance with a centralized method in terms of accuracy and real-time *** flight test demonstrates that the proposed relative state estimation framework is able to be used for aggressive flights over 5 m/s.

How to accurately evaluate the direct-strike lightning protection is one of the key issues in the design of transmission lines. In this paper, three important issues in applying the fractal simulation to the lightning protection of transmission lines were discussed, including the criteria and implementation of upward leader inception, the connection with the magnitude of lightning current, and the calculation and control of fractal dimensions. Then we conducted the simulation iterately, leading to statistical results, which indicate that even if the transmission line satisfies the perfect shielding condition, shielding failure fault remains possible. Furthermore, we calculated the shielding failure fault rates of an EHV line with different ground obliquities and distribution of strike points over the interval between two neighboring towers along a UHV-DC line to find out the weak point of transmission-line lightning protection. This work provides a promising approach for improving the lightning protection property of transmission lines by optimizing the configuration of shielding wires and phase or pole conductors.

Damaged neurons and harsh microenvironments contribute to the injury cascades following traumatic brain injury(TBI).Mesenchymal stem cell(MSC)therapy is considered a viable choice for brain in-jury treatment;however,its clinical use is hindered by limited engraftment,low survival ratio,and uncontrolled ***,the decellularized brain extracellular matrix(dBECM)was prepared through a new method as a delivery system for ***-based hydrogel with favorable biochem-ical and biomechanical features provides a microenvironment for MSCs in nerve *** MSCs-encapsulated dBECM-based hydrogel is shown to improve neuron compensation and structural regen-eration,alleviate neuroinflammation,and promote M1-to-M2 polarization of *** results first demonstrate that the combination of dBECM and MSCs is a critical vehicle to promote TBI repair from neurogenesis and immunoregulation,showing promise for the physiological recovery of neurogenic dis-eases and injuries.

Fuzzy Control Optimization of Loading Paths for Hydroforming of Variable Diameter Tubes

The design of the loading path is one of the important research contents of the tube hydroforming *** of loading paths using optimization algorithms has received attention due to the inefficiency of only finite element *** this paper,the hydroforming process of 5A02 aluminum alloy variable diameter tube was as the research *** control was used to optimize the loading path,and the fuzzy rule base was established based on *** minimum wall thickness and wall thickness reduction rate were determined as input membership functions,and the axial feeds variable value of the next step was used as output membership *** results show that the optimized loading path greatly improves the uniformity of wall thickness and the forming effect compared with the linear loading *** round corner lamination rate of the tube is 91.2%under the fuzzy control optimized loading path,which was increased by 47.1%and 22.6%compared with linear loading Path 1 and Path 2,*** on the optimized loading path in the experiment,the minimum wall thickness of the variable diameter tube was 1.32 mm and the maximum thinning rate was 12.4%.The experimental results were consistent with the simulation results,which verified the accuracy of fuzzy *** research results provide a reference for improving the forming quality of thin-walled tubes and plates.

The application of scaffolding materials is believed to hold enormous potential for tissue *** the widespread application and rapid advance of several tissue-engineered scaffolds such as natural and synthetic polymer-based scaffolds,they have limited repair capacity due to the difficulties in overcoming the immunogenicity,simulating in-vivo microenvironment,and performing mechanical or biochemical properties similar to native organs/***,the emergence of decellularized extracellular matrix(dECM)scaffolds provides an attractive way to overcome these hurdles,which mimic an optimal non-immune environment with native three-dimensional structures and various bioactive *** consequent cell-seeded construct based on dECM scaffolds,especially stem cell-recellularized construct,is considered an ideal choice for regenerating functional organs/***,we review recent developments in dECM scaffolds and put forward perspectives accordingly,with particular focus on the concept and fabrication of decellularized scaffolds,as well as the application of decellularized scaffolds and their combinations with stem cells(recellularized scaffolds)in tissue engineering,including skin,bone,nerve,heart,along with lung,liver and kidney.

A composite material comprising a carbon layer and spherical carbon/carbon cloth(C-SC/CC)was fabricated using a hydrothermal-pyrolysis method,employing carbon cloth as the substrate and glucose as the carbon *** C-SC/CC electrode was evaluated as an electrocatalytic electrode for hydrogen production by electrolysis of Bunsen reaction *** electrode prepared with 4 g of glucose and annealed at 800°C showed excellent electrocatalytic *** requires only a potential of 185 mV(***)to achieve a current density of 10 mA/***,the electrode demonstrated good stability with a 6%loss in current density after 1000 cycles of scanning from 0.2 V to 1.2 *** results indicate the potential of the SC/CC electrode as an efficient and durable electrocatalyst for the electrolysis of H2SO4 and HI.

Integrated gasification fuel cells(IGFCs)integrating high-temperature solid oxide fuel cell technology with CO_(2)capture processes represents highly-efficient power systems with negligible CO_(2)*** burning with pure oxygen is an ideal method for fuel cell exhaust gas treatment,and this report describes experimental and numerical studies regarding an oxy-combustor for treating the exhaust gas of a 10 kW IGFC system *** applied simulation method was verified based on experiments,and the key performance indices of the combustor were studied under various *** was determined that 315 K was the ideal condensation temperature to obtain flame *** these pure oxygen flame burning conditions,CO was almost completely converted,and the dry mole fraction of CO_(2)after burning was C 0.958 when there was up to 5%excess O_(2).Overall,5%excess O_(2)was recommended to maximize CO_(2)capture and promote other environmental ***,the optimal tangential fuel jet angle to control the liner temperature was approximately 25°.The total fuel utilization had to be high enough to maintain the oxygen flame temperature of the anode exhaust gas below 1800 K to ensure that the system was environmentally *** results presented herein have great value for designing IGFCs coupled with CO_(2)capture systems.

Modified hyaluronic acid hydrogels with chemical groups that facilitate adhesion to host tissues enhance cartilage regeneration

Stable integration of hydrogel implants with host tissues is of critical importance to cartilage tissue *** and fabricating hydrogels with high adhesive strength,stability and regeneration potential are major challenges to be *** study fabricated injectable adhesive hyaluronic acid(HA)hydrogel modified by aldehyde groups and methacrylate(AHAMA)on the polysaccharide backbone with multiple anchoring mechanisms(amide bond through the dynamic Schiff base reaction,hydrogen bond and physical interpenetration).AHAMA hydrogel exhibited significantly improved durability and stability within a humid environment(at least 7 days),together with higher adhesive strength(43 KPa to skin and 52 KPa to glass),as compared to commercial fibrin glue(nearly 10 KPa)and HAMA hydrogel(nearly 20 KPa).The results showed that AHAMA hydrogel was biocompatible and could be easily and rapidly prepared in *** vitro cell culture experiments showed that AHAMA hydrogel could enhance proliferation(1.2-folds after 3 days)and migration(1.5-folds after 12 h)of bone marrow stem cells(BMSCs),as compared to cells cultured in a culture ***,in a rat osteochondral defect model,implanted AHAMA hydrogel significantly promoted integration between neo-cartilage and host tissues,and significantly improved cartilage regeneration(modified O’Driscoll histological scores of 16.0±4.1 and 18.3±4.6 after 4 and 12-weeks of post-implantation in AHAMA groups respectively,12.0±2.7 and 12.2±2.8 respectively in HAMA groups,9.8±2.4 and 11.5±2.1 respectively in untreated groups).Hence,AHAMA hydrogel is a promising adhesive biomaterial for clinical cartilage regeneration and other biomedical applications.
