Titanium dioxide(TiO_(2))hollow nanoparticles present significant potential for photocatalytic applications while their straightforward preparation with precise structure control is still *** work reports the approach to preparing tunable hollow TiO_(2) nanospheres by utilization of spherical polyelectrolyte brushes(SPB)as nanoreactors and *** the preparation,the evolution of the structure was characterized by small angle X-ray scattering(SAXS),and in combination with dynamic light scattering and transmission electron *** formation of TiO_(2) shell within the brush(SPB@TiO_(2))is confirmed by the significant increase of the electron density,and its internal structure has been analyzed by fitting SAXS data,which can be influenced by Titanium precursors and ammonia *** calcining SPB@TiO_(2) in a muffle furnace,hollow TiO_(2) nanospheres are produced,and their transition to the anatase crystal form is triggered,as confirmed by X-ray diffraction *** the advantages of their hollow structure,these TiO_(2) nanospheres exhibit exceptional catalytic degradation efficiency of methylene blue(MB),tetracycline(TC),and 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid(2,4-D),and also demonstrate excellent recyclability.

A comprehensive research on wear resistance of GH4169 superalloy in longitudinal-torsional ultrasonic vibration side milling with tool wear and surface quality

To improve the service and machining performance of the workpiece, the tool wear mechanisms, surface machining quality, and wear resistance in conventional side milling(CSM)and longitudinal-torsional ultrasonic vibration side milling(LTUVSM) of GH4169 superalloy at different cutting lengths are investigated systematically. Tool wear mechanisms are revealed and the correlation between machined surface quality with tool wear is analyzed correspondingly. Tool wear patterns mainly include adhesive wear, diffusion wear, abrasive wear, and chipping *** surface quality is achieved in LTUVSM due to a maximum reduction of flank wear bandwidth and wear rate by 71.9% and 71.5%, respectively, compared to CSM. The friction coefficient,initial wear stage time, and wear volume of dry sliding wear were measured to evaluate the workpiece wear resistance. The maximum reductions in friction coefficient and wear volume in LTUVSM are 18.2% and 15.8% compared to CSM. The regular ultrasonic vibration textures suppress the friction and the growth of contact nodes in the contact area, decreasing the degree of surface wear, which is demonstrated by a 38.8% increase in initial wear stage time compared to *** conclusion, the workpiece in LTUVSM exhibits higher wear resistance because of the improvement of tool wear and the guarantee of surface quality.

By means of the multilinear variable separation（MLVS） approach, new interaction solutions with low-dimensional arbitrary functions of the（2+1）-dimensional Nizhnik–Novikov–Veselovtype system are constructed. Four-dromion structure, ring-parabolic soliton structure and corresponding fusion phenomena for the physical quantity U =λ（lnf）xyare revealed for the first time. This MLVS approach can also be used to deal with the（2+1）-dimensional Sasa–Satsuma system.

Pancreatic cancer stands out as a recognized intractable tumor due to its high malignancy and mortality rates,which are largely attributed to the insensitivity of current clinical chemotherapies or *** chemo and gene therapy that integrates different therapeutic targets,may increase the chemosensitivity of pancreatic cancer and synergistically enhance the antitumor ***,conventional co-delivery of gene and chemo drugs is intensively dependent on complex nanoparticle delivery systems,thus would be limited by unstable drug packaging,nonspecific biodistribution,and biosafety ***,we rationally designed an epidermal growth factor-receptor(EGFR)-targeted and gemcitabine-incorporated oligonucleotide(termed as chemogene)with anti-Bcl-2 sequence,which achieves simple and precise integration of gemcitabine into a gene regulative agent,as well as the EGFR-targeted delivery for pancreatic cancer *** solid-phase synthesis,gemcitabine,as the first-line chemodrug for pancreatic cancer,is introduced to the antisense oligonucleotide to replace all cytosine nucleosides to obtain the gemcitabine-integrated chemogene(Ge-ASO^(Bcl-2)).Thereafter,Ge-ASO^(Bcl-2)is covalently coupled with EGFR nanobody to construct the final targeted chemogene without any exogenous ***,this nanobody-conjugated chemogene exhibits remarkable tumor targeting capability and antitumor effects both in vitro and in vivo,which initiates a first step toward the application of combinatorial chemo and gene therapy for future pancreatic cancer treatment.

Fracture mechanism of inclusions in thick plate center under tensile loading

Segregation of solute atoms in the center of thick plates of the tempered steel can cause an inhomogeneous structural transformation and generate micron-sized inclusions,which leads to lamellar tearing of thick plate and decreases the plasticity and *** formation and fragmentation mechanisms of micron-sized inclusions,like MnS and(Nb,Ti)C,in the center of thick plates were investigated by using thermodynamic calculations,finite element simulations,and electron backscatter diffraction characterization *** results show that micron-sized inclusions nucleate and grow in the liquid phase,and under tensile loading,they exhibit three fragmentation *** local stress during the fragmentation of inclusions is lower than the critical fracture stress of adjacent grains,and phase boundaries can effectively impede crack propagation into the *** existence of a low proportion of high-angle grain boundaries(58.1%)and high Kernel average misorientation value(0.534°)in the segregation band promotes inclusions fragmentation and crack *** difference in crack initiation and propagation direction caused by the morphology of inclusions and physical properties,as well as different matrix arrest abilities,is the main reasons for the diversity of inclusion fragmentation.

The development of infrared(IR)surveillance technology has led to a growing interest in thermal ***,the trade-off relationship between low IR-emissivity and thermal insulation hinders the advance of thermal camouflage ***,guided by multi-physics simulation,we show a design of asymmetric aramid nanofibers/MXene(ANF/MXene)aerogel film that realizes high-efficient thermal camouflage *** rationale is that the asymmetric structure contains a thermal-insulation three-dimensional(3D)network part to prevent effective heat transfer and a low IR-emissivity(~0.3)dense surface layer to suppress radiative heat *** is remarkable that the synergy mechanism in the topology structure contributes to over 40%reduction of target radiation ***,the tailored asymmetric ANF/MXene aerogel film also enables sound mechanical properties such as a Young’s modulus of 44.4 MPa and a tensile strength of 1.3 MPa,superior to most aerogel *** also exhibits great Joule heating performances including low driving voltage(4 V),fast thermal response(<10 s),and long-term stability,further enabling its versatile thermal camouflage *** work offers an innovative design concept to configure multifunctional structures for next-generation thermal management applications.

How to utilize existing flow control mechanisms to make profiled end wall design more flexible,efficient,and physical is a meaningful *** study presents a three-dimensional inverse method for profiled end wall design to achieve the application of flow control *** predetermined pressure distribution on the end wall is reached by modifying the end wall geometry during flow field calculation.A motion velocity model is derived from the normal momentum equation of the moving no-slip boundary to modify the end wall geometry.A Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)solver based on the Semi-Implicit Method for Pressure Linked Equations(SIMPLE)algorithm is adopted to simulate the flow *** on the mechanism understanding obtained through numerical optimization results,this study adopts the inverse method to redesign an optimized end wall in a compressor *** results indicate that the redesigned end wall exhibits better loss reduction,reducing the overall total pressure loss by 5.5%,whereas the optimized end wall reduces it by 3%.The inverse method allows the imposition of desired influences on the end wall flow without constructing a database,making it highly flexible,efficient,and physical.
