On Robust Cross-view Consistency in Self-supervised Monocular Depth Estimation

Remarkable progress has been made in self-supervised monocular depth estimation (SS-MDE) by exploring cross-view consistency, e.g., photometric consistency and 3D point cloud consistency. However, they are very vulnerable to illumination variance, occlusions, texture-less regions, as well as moving objects, making them not robust enough to deal with various scenes. To address this challenge, we study two kinds of robust cross-view consistency in this paper. Firstly, the spatial offset field between adjacent frames is obtained by reconstructing the reference frame from its neighbors via deformable alignment, which is used to align the temporal depth features via a depth feature alignment (DFA) loss. Secondly, the 3D point clouds of each reference frame and its nearby frames are calculated and transformed into voxel space, where the point density in each voxel is calculated and aligned via a voxel density alignment (VDA) loss. In this way, we exploit the temporal coherence in both depth feature space and 3D voxel space for SS-MDE, shifting the “point-to-point” alignment paradigm to the “region-to-region” one. Compared with the photometric consistency loss as well as the rigid point cloud alignment loss, the proposed DFA and VDA losses are more robust owing to the strong representation power of deep features as well as the high tolerance of voxel density to the aforementioned challenges. Experimental results on several outdoor benchmarks show that our method outperforms current state-of-the-art techniques. Extensive ablation study and analysis validate the effectiveness of the proposed losses, especially in challenging scenes. The code and models are available at https://***/sunnyHelen/RCVC-depth.

Enhancement of the light-absorption response and utilization of the photogenerated carriers represent a robust strategy for the design of high-performance *** this work,grafting Co_(x)P nanoclusters onto S-scheme heterojunction of W18O49/ZnIn2S4(WO/ZIS-CoxP)with strong response to the ultraviolet-visible-near infrared ray(UV-vis-NIR)region has been achieved,which possesses efficient electron-transfer-channel,and boosts charge-separation and transport *** as-prepared WO/ZIS-Co_(x)P yields an impressive solar-driven hydrogen production rate of 45 mmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1).The increased photocatalytic performance is attributed to the synergistic effect of the composite catalyst:(1)The local surface plasmon resonance-induced“hot electron”injection of W_(18)O_(49)significantly increases the electron density;(2)the engineered S-scheme directional electron transfer promotes charge separation and enhances the reducing capability of photoexcited electrons;and(3)Co_(x)P as electron-trap site for accelerating surface proton reduction *** work provides a platform to impart nonprecious co-catalyst for engineering S-scheme heterojunction,serving a class of efficient solar-driven photocatalyst towards hydrogen production.

We report a direct blue-diode-pumped wavelength tunable Kerr-lens mode-locked Ti: sapphire *** wavelength tunability as broad as 89 nm(736-825 nm) is achieved by adjusting the insertion of the *** as short as 17 fs are generated at a central wavelength of 736 nm with an average output power of 31 *** maximum output power is 46.8 mW at a central wavelength of 797 nm with a pulse duration of 46 fs.

In this paper,Si-Au/Pt/Ti contact structure is fabricated using anodic bonding to realize the electrical *** order to evaluate the quality of contact structure,the contact resistance is *** first,the cross-bridge Kelvin method is optimized and a new four-terminal bonded vertical Kelvin test structure is presented to directly and precisely measure the contact resistance.A two-dimensional resistor network model is established to obtain the relationship between the contact resistance and the measured *** the fabricated test structure is tested and moreover the contact resistance of the bonded Si/Au/Pt/Ti contacts is extracted from the current-voltage characteristic *** obtained from the test indicate that the bonded contact is ohmic contact and the average value of R range from 19.7 to 48.3Ωwhen the contact area,A,is larger than 20*20μm with contact length,L,longer than 20μm;whereas,when A is small than 20*20μm,the contact is not reliable ohmic contact and theⅠ-Ⅴcharacteristic is not stable.

Sub-10-fs pulse generation from a blue laser-diode-pumped Ti:sapphire oscillator

Pulses as short as 8.1 fs were generated from a blue laser-diode-pumped Kerr-lens mode-locked Ti:sapphire oscillator, with an average power of 27 m W and a repetition rate of 120.6 MHz. The full width at half-maximum exceeds 146 nm, benefitting from the dispersion management by a combination of a low-dispersion fused silica prism pair and a series of double-chirped mirrors. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time to generate sub-10-fs pulses from a laser diode directly pumped Ti:sapphire oscillator.

A convolutional neural network is employed to retrieve the time-domain envelop and phase of few-cycle femtosecond pulses from transient-grating frequency-resolved optical gating(TG-FROG) *** use theoretically generated TGFROG traces to complete supervised trainings of the convolutional neural networks,then use similarly generated traces not included in the training dataset to test how well the networks are *** retrieval of such traces by the neural network is *** our case,we find that networks with exponential linear unit(ELU) activation function perform better than those with leaky rectified linear unit(LRELU) and scaled exponential linear unit(SELU).Finally,the issues that need to be addressed for the retrieval of experimental data by this method are discussed.
