Iron-sulfur clusters(ISC)are essential cofactors for proteins involved in various biological processes,such as electron transport,biosy.thetic reactions,DNA repair,and gene ex.ression *** assembly.protein IscA1(or MagR)is found within the mitochondria of most ***(MagR)is a highly.conserved A-ty.e iron and iron-sulfur cluster-binding protein,characterized by.two distinct ty.es of iron-sulfur clusters,[2Fe-2S]and[3Fe-4S],each conferring unique magnetic *** forms a rod-like poly.er structure in complex.with photoreceptive cry.tochrome(Cry.and serves as a putative magnetoreceptor for retrieving geomagnetic information in animal *** the N-terminal sequences of MagR vary.among species,their specific function remains *** the present study.we found that the N-terminal sequences of pigeon MagR,previously.thought to serve as a mitochondrial targeting signal(MTS),were not cleaved following mitochondrial entry.but instead modulated the efficiency.with which iron-sulfur clusters and irons are ***,the N-terminal region of MagR was required for the formation of a stable MagR/Cry.***,the N-terminal sequences in pigeon MagR fulfil more important functional roles than just mitochondrial *** results further ex.end our understanding of the function of MagR and provide new insights into the origin of magnetoreception from an evolutionary.perspective.

Lipid homeostasis is crucial for growth and development of *** cy.ochrome P450 monoox.0}enases(Cy.s)are involved in lipid *** function of Cy.3llal in the anterior midgut as a regulator of phosphatidy.ethanolamine(PE)metabolism in Drosophila melanogaster has been demonstrated,as depletion of Cy.31lal caused larval growth arrest that was partially.rescued by.supply.ng *** this study.we investigated the role of Cy.311A1 in wing morphogenesis in *** the GAL4-UAS sy.tem,Cy.31lal was selectively.knocked down in the wing disc.A deformed wing phenoty.e was observed in flies with reduced Cy.31lal *** and oil red O staining revealed a reduction of neutral lipids in the wing disc after the depletion of *** addition,we observed an enhanced sensitivity.to Eosin y.penetration in the wings of Cy.31lal knocked-down ***,the reduction of Cy.311A1 function in developing wings does not affect cell proliferation and apoptosis,but entails disordered Phalloidin or Cadherin distribution,suggesting an abnormal cell morphology.and cell cortex.structure in wing epithelial *** together,our results suggest that Cy.3llal is needed for wing morphogenesis by.participating in lipid assembly.and cell homeostasis.

Highly.efficient recovery.of waste LiNi_(x.Co_(y.Mn_(z)O_(2) cathode materials using a process involving py.ometallurgy.and hy.rometallurgy

Substantial environmental and economic benefits can be achieved by.recy.ling used lithium-ion batteries. Hy.rometallurgy.is often employ.d to recover waste LiNi_(x.Co_(y.Mn_(z)O_(2) cathode materials. As Ni, Co and Mn are transition metals, they.ex.ibit similar properties;therefore, separating them is difficult. Thus, most researchers have focused on leaching processes, while minimal attention has been devoted to the separation of valuable metals from waste LiNi_(x.Co_(y.Mn_(z)O_(2) cathode materials. Herein, we propose an environment-friendly. gentle process involving the usage of py.ometallurgy.and hy.rometallurgy.to gradually.leach valuable metals and effectively.separate them. Interestingly. Li is recovered through a reduction roasting and water leaching process using natural graphite powder, Ni and Co are recovered through ammonia leaching and ex.raction processes and Mn is recovered through acid leaching and evaporation–cry.tallization processes. Results show that ~87% Li, 97.01% Co, 97.08% Ni and 99% Mn can be leached using water, ammonia and acid leaching processes. The result obtained using the response surface methodology.shows that the concentration of (NH4)2SO3 is a notable factor affecting the leaching of transition metals. Under optimal conditions, ~97.01% Co, 97.08% Ni and 0.64% Mn can be leached out. The decomposition of LiNi_(x.Co_(y.Mn_(z)O_(2) is a two-step process. This study.provides valuable insights to develop an environment-friendly. gentle leaching process for efficiently.recy.ling valuable metals, which is vital for the lithium-ion battery.recy.ling industry.

The effects of Co and Fe co-doping Ni-Mn-In alloy.on the phase stability.lattice parameters,mag-netic properties,and electronic structures are sy.tematically.investigated by.using the first-principles *** indicate that Fe atoms replace the ex.ess Mn2 atoms by.direct and indirect coex.istence(Fe→Mn 2 and Fe→In→Mn2);Co substitutes the Ni atoms by.direct substitution(Co→Ni)for the Ni-Mn-In *** austenites all ex.ibit the ferromagnetic(FM)state for the studied *** NM martensites are in the ferrimagnetic(FIM-1)state for the Ni_(2)Mn_(1.5)In_(0.5),Ni_(2)Mn_(1.25)In_(0.5)Fe 0.25,Ni_(1.75)Mn_(1.5)In_(0.5)Co_(0.25),and Ni_(1.75)Mn_(1.25)In_(0.5)Co_(0.25)Fe 0.25 alloy.,while the other compositions are in the FM *** phase stability.of austenite and martensite decreases with increasing Co and Fe co-doping.A magnetic-structural coupling transition occurs at x.0.25 and y.*** Ni_(1.91)Mn_(1.5)In_(0.5)Co_(0.08)and Ni_(1.91)Mn_(1.42)In_(0.5)Co_(0.08)Fe_(0.08)alloy. ex.ibit an A→6M→NM transformation,accompanied by.a magnetic *** Co and Fe are co-doped,the hy.ridization strength between Co and Fe is greater than that between Co/Fe and *** enhancement of magnetocaloric and elastocaloric effects is favored by.larger magnetization difference(△M)and lattice volume change(△V/V_(0)).Based on the calculated phase stability.magneto-structure coupling,△V/V 0 and c/a ratio,one can predict that the Ni_(2)-x.Mn_(1.5)-y.In_(0.5)Co x.Fe y.alloy.with Co content 0≤x.0.25 and Fe content 0≤y.0.05 is predicted to have good magneto-controlled functional behavior.

Investigating the quantum interference effect in single molecules is essential to comprehensively.understand the underly.ng mechanism of single-molecule charge *** this study.we employ.d the mother molecule m-OPE and introduced a series of side groups with various electronic effects at the 2-position of the central pheny. ring,creating four daughter m-OPE *** single molecular conductivities of these molecule wires were measured using the scanning tunneling microscope breaking junction *** findings demonstrate that the substitutions regularly.modulate the destructive quantum interference occurring within the m-OPE *** combining optical and electrochemical investigations,along with density.functional theory.computations,we discover that the conductivity.of the molecules corresponds to the electron-donating/withdrawing ability.of the ***,by.adjusting the electron structures of the molecular backbone,we can sy.tematically.tailor the destructive quantum interference in the m-OPE molecules.

Brassica oleracea has been developed into many.important crops,including cabbage,kale,cauliflower,broccoli and so *** genome and gene annotation of cabbage(cultivar JZS),a representative morphoty.e of ***,has been widely.used as a common reference in biological *** its genome assembly.has been updated twice,the current gene annotation still lacks information on untranslated regions(UTRs)and alternative splicing(AS).Here,we constructed a high-quality.gene annotation(JZSv3)using a full-length transcriptome acquired by.nanopore sequencing,y.elding a total of 59452 genes and 75684 ***,we re-analy.ed the previously.reported transcriptome data related to the development of different tissues and cold response using JZSv3 as a reference,and found that 3843 out of 11908 differentially.ex.ressed genes(DEGs)underwent AS during the development of different tissues and 309 out of 903 cold-related genes underwent AS in response to cold ***,we also identified many.AS genes,including BolLHCB5 and BolHSP70,that display.d distinct ex.ression patterns within variant transcripts of the same gene,highlighting the importance of JZSv3 as a pivotal reference for AS ***,JZSv3 provides a valuable resource for ex.loring gene function,especially.for obtaining a deeper understanding of AS regulation mechanisms.

The full array.of the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory.LHAASO)has been in operation since July.*** its kilometer-square array.KM2A),we optimized the selection criteria for very.high and ultrahigh energy.-ray. using data collected from August 2021 to August 2022,resulting in an improvement in significance of the detection in the Crab Nebula of approx.mately.15%,compared with that of previous *** the implementation of these new selection criteria,the angular resolution was also significantly.improved by.approx.mately.10%at tens of *** aspects of the full KM2A array.performance,such as the pointing error,were also calibrated using the Crab *** resulting energy.spectrum of the Crab Nebula in the energy.range of 10-1000 TeV are well fitted by.a log-parabola model,which is consistent with the previous results from LHAASO and other ex.eriments.

Cy.okines including tumor necrosis factor, interleukins, interferons, and chemokines are abundantly.produced in various diseases. As pleiotropic factors, cy.okines are involved in nearly.every.aspect of cellular functions such as migration, survival, proliferation, and differentiation. Oligodendrocy.es are the my.lin-forming cells in the central nervous sy.tem and play.critical roles in the conduction of action potentials, supply.of metabolic components for ax.ns, and other functions. Emerging evidence suggests that both oligodendrocy.es and oligodendrocy.e precursor cells are vulnerable to cy.okines released under pathological conditions. This review mainly.summarizes the effects of cy.okines on oligodendrocy.e lineage cells in central nervous sy.tem diseases. A comprehensive understanding of the effects of cy.okines on oligodendrocy.e lineage cells contributes to our understanding of central nervous sy.tem diseases and offers insights into treatment strategies.

Provenance of Conglomerate and Sandstone from Early.Permian Shoushangou Formation in x. Ujimqin,Inner Mongolia:Implications for Understanding Paleo-Asian Ocean Subduction

During the Late Carboniferous to Early.Permian,a rift was formed by.post-collisional ex.ension after ocean closure or an island arc-related basin formed by.Paleo-Asian Ocean(PAO)subduction in the x. Ujimqin ***,the closure time of the PAO is still under ***,to identify.the origin of the PAO,the geochemistry.and U-Pb age of zircons were analy.ed for the ex.ra-large deep marine,poly.ict clastic boulders and sandstones in the Shoushangou Formation within the *** analy.es revealed magmatic activity.and tectonic *** conglomerates include megaclasts of granite(298.8±9.1 Ma)and granodiorite porphy.y.297.1±3.1 Ma),which were deposited by.muddy.debris *** of this study.demonstrated that the boulders of granitoids have the geochemistry.of ty.ical I-ty.e granite,characterized by.low Zr+Nb+Ce+y.and low Ga/Al *** granitoid boulders were formed in island arc setting,indicating the presence of arc magmatism in the area that is composed of the Late Carboniferous to Early.Permian subduction-related granitoid in southern x. *** diagrams for determining sedimentary.provenance using major and trace elements indicate that Shoushangou sediments originated from continental island arc-related felsic *** zircon U-Pb age cluster of 330–280 Ma was obtained,indicating input from granite,ophiolite,x.lin Gol complex.and Carboniferous sources to the *** basin was geographically.developed behind the arc during the Early.Permian period because the outcropped intrusive rocks in the Late Carboniferous to Early.Permian form a volcanic *** comprehensive analy.es of source areas suggest that Shoushangou sediments developed in a backarc basin in response to the northward subduction of the *** backarc basin and intrusive rocks,in addition to previously.published Late Carboniferous to Early.Permian magmatic rocks of arc unit in x.lin Gol,confirm the presence of an Early.Permian trencharc-basin sy.tem in the region,r

Zeolites have been widely.used as cataly.ts,ion-ex.hangers,and adsorbents in chemical industries,detergent industry.steel industry.glass industry.ceramic industry.medical and healthﬁeld,and environmentalﬁeld,and recently.applied in energy.***-assisted sy.thesis is a very.effective approach in promoting the cry.tallization of *** some cases,the target zeolite cannot be formed in the absence of seed *** homologous seed-assisted sy.thesis,the structure of the seed zeolite is the same to that of the target zeolite,while the structure of the seed zeolite is different to that of the target zeolite in the heterologous seed-assisted *** this review,we brieﬂy.summarized the heterologous seed-assisted sy.theses of zeolites and analy.ed the structure-directing effect of heterologous seeds and survey.d the“common composite building units(CBUs)hy.othesis”and the“common secondary.building units(SBUs)hy.othesis”.However,both hy.otheses cannot ex.lain all observations on the heterologous seed-assisted ***,we proposed that the formation of the target zeolite does need nuclei with the structure of target zeolite and the formation of the nuclei of the target zeolite can be promoted by.either the undissolved seed cry.tals with the same CBUs or SBUs to the target zeolite or by.the facilitated appropriate distribution of the speciﬁc building units due to the presence of the heterologous seed that does not have any.common CBUs and SBUs with the target zeolite.
