Excellent outdoor thermal management is vital for public health and ***,the ever-changing and uncontrol-lable outdoor environmental conditions,such as irrepressible sunlight and drastic temperature fluctuations,bring majestic challenges to outdoor thermal ***,we report a significant advancement toward designing and fabricating a novel fiber membrane with a dual-function of radiative cooling and solar heating for an efficient daytime outdoor thermal *** the reported dual-mode thermal management materials,which are usually fabricated by compounding organic polymers and metal/inorganic non-metal materials,our fiber-based membrane is composed of only two polymers,i.e.,poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropene)(PVDF-HFP)and polypyrrole(PPy).The resulting membrane presents outstanding outdoor thermoregulation capacity,with a practically attainable sun-ambient cooling temperature of~4.5℃,super-ambient heating temperature of~35.8℃,in an outdoor environment,under solar intensity(Isolar)of~850 W m^(-2).Fabrication process is simple and cost-effective,which offers the possibility of preparing large-scale *** to the scalable and simple fabrication process,and the exceptional outdoor thermoregulation ability,this dual-mode fiber membrane has great potential to maintain a comfortable outdoor environment for human activities and industrial operations.

We study an intense beam propagating through the double periodic focusing channel by the particle-coremodel,and obtain the beam envelope *** to the Poincare-Lyapunov theorem,we analyze the stabilityof beam envelope equation and find the beam *** soliton control method for controlling the beam halo-chaos isput forward based on mechanism of halo formation and strategy of controlling beam halo-chaos,and we also prove thevalidity of the control method,and furthermore,the feasible experimental project is *** perform multiparticlesimulation to control the halo by using the soliton *** is shown that our control method is *** alsofind the radial ion density changes when the ion beam is in the channel,not only the halo-chaos and its regeneration canbe eliminated by using the nonlinear control method,but also the density uniformity can be found at beam's centre aslong as an appropriate control method is chosen.

Currently, the biosynthesis of nanomaterials by organisms is attracting considerable attention because of the sustainable and environmentally friendly nature of the reactions involved in this process compared with those in the conventional nanomaterial synthesis. However, the manipulation and control of nanomaterial biosynthesis remain difficult because of the lack of knowledge about the biosynthetic mechanisms. In the present study, we elucidated the selenium （Se）-precursor and Se metabolic flux in the biosynthesis of cadmium-selenium quantum dots （CdSe QDs） in Saccharomyces cerevisiae and improved the cells＇ ability to biosynthesize CdSe QDs through gene modification based on the regulation mechanism. By deleting the genes involved in Se metabolism and measuring seleno-amino acids, we identified selenocysteine （SeCys） as the primary Se-precursor in the intracellular biosynthesis of CdSe QDs. Further studies demonstrated that the selenomethionine （SeMet）-to-SeCys pathway regulates CdSe QD biosynthesis. Knowledge of the regulatory pathway allowed us to enhance SeMet synthesis by overexpression of the MET6 gene, and an increased CdSe QD yield was realized in the engineered cells. Understanding the mechanism of CdSe QD biosynthesis helped to determine the relationship between nanocrystal formation and biological processes, and offers a new perspective to manipulation of nanomaterial biosynthesis.

For the first time,we report high-performance two-dimensional(2D)perovskite Pb_(2)Nb_(3)O_(10) photodetectors(PNO PDs).The few-layer PNO nanosheets are obtained successfully through a simple calcination and liquid exfoliation *** individual PNO nanosheet devices with various structures(Au-PNO-Au,Au-PNO-Ti,Ti-PNO-Ti)are fabricated and *** Au-PNO-Ti device exhibits a high rectification factor(∼102)owing to a large Schottky barrier difference between the PNO nanosheet and two asymmetric ***,the Au-PNO-Ti device shows excellent self-powered performance,including high responsivity(2.8 A/W),high detectivity(1.1×10^(12) Jones),and fast speed(0.2/1.2 ms)at 350 nm light *** work not only suggests the performance of the PNO nanosheet PDs but also sheds light on the development of high-stability and high-performance devices based on 2D perovskite niobate in the future.

Two-dimensional(2D)tungsten selenide(WSe_(2))is promising candidate material for future electronic applications,owing to its potential for ultimate device *** improving the electronic performance of WSe_(2)-based field-effect transistors(FETs),the modification of surface properties is *** this study,the seamless structural phase transition in WSe_(2) lattice is achieved by soft oxygen plasma,regulating the electrical conductance of WSe_(2)-based *** found that during the soft oxygen plasma treatment with optimal processing time,the generated oxygen ions can substitute some selenium atoms and thus locally modify the bond length,inducing 2H→1T phase transition in WSe_(2) with seamless *** mosaic structures have been proven to tailor the electronic structure and increase the hole carrier concentration inside WSe_(2),significantly increasing the channel conductance of WSe_(2) *** the further increase of the oxygen plasma treatment time,the creation of more selenium vacancy defects leads to the electronic doping,resulting in the reduction of *** from the hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)encapsulation to interrupt the partial structural relaxation from 1T to 2H phase,our WSe_(2) FET exhibits high electronic stability with conductance of 6.8×10^(-4) S,which is about four orders of magnitude higher than 2H WSe_(2)(5.8×10^(-8) S).This study could further broaden the WSe_(2) FETs in applications for functionalization and integration in electronics.

Graphene-carbon nanotube hybrid films for high- performance flexible photodetectors

Graphene is being actively explored as a candidate material for flexible and stretchable devices. However, the development of graphene-based flexible photonic devices, i.e. photodetectors, is hindered by the low absorbance of the single layer of carbon atoms. Recently, van der Waals bonded carbon nanotube and graphene hybrid films have demonstrated excellent photoresponsivity, and the use of vein-like carbon nanotube networks resulted in significantly higher mechanical strength. Here, we report for the first time, a flexible photodetector with a high photoresponsivity of - 51 A/W and a fast response time of - 40 ms over the visible range, revealing the unique potential of this emerging all-carbon hybrid films for flexible devices. In addition, the device exhibits good robustness against repetitive bending, suggesting its applicability in large-area matrix-array flexible photodetectors.

To identify the desired hypertherrnophilic variants within a mutant esterase library for the resolution of （R, S）-2- octanol acetate, a simple, reliable, and versatile method was developed in this study. We built a screening strategy including two steps, first we selected agar plate with substrate to screen the enzymatic activity; secondly we used a pH indicator to screen the enantioselectivity. This method could rapidly detect favorable mutants with high activity and enantioselectivity. A total of 96. 2% of tedious screening work can be precluded using this screening strategy. It is an effective screening for alkyl ester and can be applied to relative screening researches. The four improved mutants were screened from the mutant esterase library. Their enantioselectivities, activities, and structures were investigated at different temperatures.

In this study,a new numerical model of ring shear tester for shear band soil of landslide was *** special feature of this model is that it considers the mechanism of friction-induced thermal pressurization,which is potentially an important cause of high-speed catastrophic *** key to the construction of this numerical ring shear model is to realize the THM(thermo-hydro-mechanical)dynamic coupling of soil particles,which includes the processes of frictional heating,thermal pressurization,and strength softening during shearing of solid *** of these are completed by using discrete element *** on this new model,the characteristics of shear stress change with shear displacement,as well as the variation of temperature and pore pressure in the specimen,are studied at shear rates of 0.055 m/s,0.06 m/s,0.109 m/s and 1.09 m/s,*** results show that the peak strength and residual strength of specimen are significantly reduced when the mechanism of frictioninduced thermal pressurization is *** greater the shear rate is,the higher the temperature as well as the pore pressure *** effect of shear rate on the shear strength is *** simulation results demonstrate that this model can effectively simulate the mechanism of friction-induced thermal pressurization of shear band soil during ring shear process,and the shear strength softening in the *** new numerical ring shear model established in this study is of great significance for studying the dynamic mechanism of high-speed catastrophic landslides.
