The performance of clay-pile-pier system under earthquake shaking was comprehensively examined via three-dimensional finite element analyses,in which the complex stress-strain relationships of a clay and piled pier system were depicted by a hyperbolic-hysteretic and an equivalent elastoplastic model,respectively.One hundred twenty ground motions with varying peak accelerations were considered,along with the variations in bridge superstructure mass and pile flexural rigidity.Comprehensive comparison studies suggested that peak pile-cap acceleration and peak pile-cap velocity are the optimal ground motion intensity measures for seismic responses of the pier and the pile,respectively.Furthermore,based on two optimal ground motion intensity measures and using curvature ductility to quantify different damage states,seismic fragility analyses were performed.The pier generally had no evident damage except when the bridge girder mass was equal to 960 t,which seemed to be comparatively insensitive to the varying pile flexural rigidity.In comparison,the pile was found to be more vulnerable to seismic damage and its failure probabilities tended to clearly reduce with the increment of pile flexural rigidity,while the influence of the bridge girder mass was relatively minor.

Lissodendoric acid A is a member of manzamine alkaloid family[1],which is a popular target for total synthesis due to its complex structure and promising biological activity[2].Lissodendoric acid A was isolated from the marine sponge Lissodendoryx florida in 2017 by Stonik’s group.Related research has demonstrated that this natural product exerted therapeutic effect on a Parkinson’s disease model containing Neuro 2a cells and somewhat increased the survival of these cells upon treatment with dopamine[3].The core skeleton of lissodendoric acid A features an azadecalin scaffold containing a conjugated diene,a carboxylic acid substituent and two stereocenters,which poses a forbidding challenge on total synthesis.Since the 1960s,the small ring structure bearing allene has been known to chemists as an unconventional transient intermediate[4,5],whose unique chemical structure makes it highly reactive,allowing events such as cycloaddition,nucleophilic addition or metal catalysis to occur.However,the application of cyclic allenes in total synthesis of complex natural products has rarely been reported compared with their close relatives,such as arynes and strained cyclic alkynes[6].

本文认为Lin(1998)将“每”看作加合算子的观点更为合理。“每”对与之相关联的成分进行加合,使之获得最大化的、复数性解读。“每”强调加合单位的特征使得“每NP”具有内在的逐指性特征。因此主语位置上的“每NP”要求与之共现的谓语部分的语义特征与之相兼容。全称量化副词“都”、(隐性的)分配算子在满足其自身语义要求的情况下,可以充当主语“每NP”的允准者。而宾语“每NP”由于是谓语动词的内论元,对谓语的特征没有兼容性要求,但它通常要求加合对象的出现。当强调全称义时,“每NP”应出现在量化副词或分配算子的定义域之内,使其自身可以充当量化域或分类关键词,进而获得强调性解读。由此“每”的语义可以得到统一解释。“每”加合算子的语义同时也说明汉语很可能缺少限定性全称量化词。

The interaction between biomolecules with their target ligands plays a great role in regulating biological functions.Aptamers are short oligonucleotide sequences that can specifically recognize target biomolecules via structural complementarity and thus regulate related biological functions.In the past ten years,aptamers have made great progress in target biomolecule recognition,becoming a powerful tool to regulate biological functions.At present,there are many reviews on aptamers applied in biomolecular recognition,but few reviews pay attention to aptamer-based regulation of biological functions.Here,we summarize the approaches to enhancing aptamer affinity and the advancements of aptamers in regulating enzymatic activity,cellular immunity and cellular behaviors.Furthermore,this review discusses the challenges and future perspectives of aptamers in target recognition and biological functions regulation,aiming to provide some promising ideas for future regulation of biomolecular functions in a complex biological environment.

The synthesis of solar-driven chemical value-added products and the degradation of pollutants is a promising approach for sustainable development. However, achieving these works via photocatalysts with efficient charge-separation, photo-absorption is challenging. A yolk-shell CuCo_(2)S_(4)@Cu_(2)O Z-scheme nanoreactor (YS-CuCo_(2)S_(4)@Cu_(2) O-NR) with octahedron Cu_(2)O as the core and tubular CuCo2 S4 as the shell, has been synthesized by regulating composition and morphology. YS-CuCo_(2)S_(4)@Cu_(2)O-NR shows superior photocatalytic activities for producing H_(2) O_(2) collaborates by selective oxidation of benzyl alcohol (BA) to high value-added benzaldehyde (BAD)/utilized Fenton-like reaction to degrade multi-pollutants through space-confinement effect, reaching 80% conversion and 99% selectivity of BA, a yield of 12 mM g^(−1) for H_(2)O_(2) and above 90% degradation efficiency for multi-pollutants. A photocatalysis nanoconfinement reactor system is proposed and demonstrated by using yolk-shell to enhance the performance of the chemical reaction. Mechanism studies show that the yolk-shell provides confined space to accelerate redox reaction kinetics;while the inner void promotes light harvesting and keeps yolk Cu_(2) O from deactivation;combined with the Z-scheme charge transfer, engineering Cu^(+) /Cu^(2+) active composition, they are favorable for enhancing the H_(2) O_(2) generation and Fenton-like activity. These findings provide new opportunities for application of yolk-shell Z-scheme metal-oxide-based photocatalysts.

A Variance Reducing Stochastic Proximal Method with Acceleration Techniques

We consider a fundamental problem in the field of machine learning—structural risk minimization,which can be represented as the average of a large number of smooth component functions plus a simple and convex(but possibly non-smooth)function.In this paper,we propose a novel proximal variance reducing stochastic method building on the introduced Point-SAGA.Our method achieves two proximal operator calculations by combining the fast Douglas–Rachford splitting and refers to the scheme of the FISTA algorithm in the choice of momentum factors.We show that the objective function value converges to the iteration point at the rate of O(1/k)when each loss function is convex and smooth.In addition,we prove that our method achieves a linear convergence rate for strongly convex and smooth loss functions.Experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm,especially when the loss function is ill-conditioned with good acceleration.

Abundance,Diversity and Functional Potentials of Planktonic Bacteria and Microeukaryotes in the Coral-Reef System of Xisha Islands,China

Corals influence microorganisms within the surrounding seawater,yet the diversities and functions of seawater bacteria and microeukaryotes in coral-reef systems have not been well addressed.We collected 40 seawater samples in outer coral reef flats and semi-closed inner lagoons from the surface,middle and bottom layers in the pristine coral-reef system of Xisha Islands,South China Sea.We detected the abundance,composition and distribution of bacteria and microeukaryotes using flow cytometry,qPCR and high throughput sequencing techniques,and profiled the potential ecological roles based on the information of 16S and 18S rDNA sequencing.In terms of flow cytometry,Prochlorococcus dominated the autotrophs with cell abundance ranging from 5.8×10^(2)to 5.44×10^(3)cells mL−1 seawater.Based on qPCR,the 16S rDNA copies were much higher in coral reef flats than in lagoons(P=0.003).The bacterial communities held significantly lower diversity in bottom waters compared with surface and middle waters(P<0.05),which were dominated by SAR11,Flavobacteriales,and Synechococcus.Alveolata represented most of the microeukaryotic communities with Dinophyceae and Syndiniales well represented in all samples.Neither bacterial nor microeukaryotic community exhibited distinct layer or niche pattern,however,Haptophyta and Picozoa decreased with depth and SAR 86,MAST-3 and Picozoa were enriched in lagoons(P<0.05).To adapt the nutrient-poor and organic matter-rich environment,bacterial nitrogen fixation and assimilatory/dissimilatory nitrate reduction were active in the system,and mixotrophy was the most important trophic strategy among microeukaryotes.The study highlighted the ecological adaptability of seawater microbes to the unique coral-reef environments.

With the rapidly growing abuse of drones, monitoring and classification of birds and drones have become a crucial safety issue. With similar low radar cross sections(RCSs), velocities, and heights, drones are usually difficult to be distinguished from birds in radar measurements. In this paper, we propose to exploit different periodical motions of birds and drones from highresolution Doppler spectrum sequences(DSSs) for classification.This paper presents an elaborate feature vector representing the periodic fluctuations of RCS and micro kinematics. Fed by the Doppler spectrum and feature sequence, the long to short-time memory(LSTM) is used to solve the time series classification.Different classification schemes to exploit the Doppler spectrum series are validated and compared by extensive real-data experiments, which confirms the effectiveness and superiorities of the proposed algorithm.
