Viscosity and structure relationship with equimolar substitution of CaO with MgO in the CaO–MgO–Al_(2)O_(3)–SiO_(2)slag melts

Currently,the Al_(2)O_(3)content in the high-alumina slag systems within blast furnaces is generally limited to 16wt%–18.5wt%,making it challenging to overcome this *** most studies that concentrated on managing the MgO/Al_(2)O_(3)ratio or basicity,this paper explored the effect of equimolar substitution of MgO for CaO on the viscosity and structure of a high-alumina CaO-MgO-Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)slag system,providing theoretical guidance and data to facilitate the application of high-alumina *** results revealed that the viscosity first decreased and then increased with higher MgO substitution,reaching a minimum at 15mol%MgO *** transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)results found that the depths of the troughs representing[SiO_(4)]tetrahedra,[AlO_(4)]tetrahedra,and Si-O-Al bending became progressively deeper with increased MgO *** of the Raman spectra showed that the average number of bridging oxygens per Si atom and the X_(Q^(3))/X_(Q^(2))(X_(Q^(i))is the molar fraction of Q^(i) unit,and i is the number of bridging oxygens in a[SiO_(4)]tetrahedral unit)ratio increased from 2.30 and 1.02 to 2.52 and 2.14,respectively,indicating a progressive polymerization of the silicate structure.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)results highlighted that non-bridging oxygen content decreased from 77.97mol% to 63.41mol% with increasing MgO concentration,whereas bridging oxygen and free oxygen contents *** analysis demonstrated a gradual increase in the polymerization degree of the tetrahedral structure with the increase in MgO ***,bond strength is another important factor affecting the slag *** occurrence of a viscosity minimum can be attributed to the complex evolution of bond strengths of non-bridging oxygens generated during depolymerization of the[SiO_(4)]and[AlO_(4)]tetrahedral structures by CaO and MgO.

Biomass conversion offers an efficient approach to alleviate the energy and environmental *** oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF)has attracted tremendous attention in the latest few years for the mild synthesis conditions and high conversion efficiency to obtain 2,5-furan dicarboxylic acid(FDCA),but there still remain problems such as limited yield,short cycle life,and ambiguous reaction *** many reviews highlighting a variety of electrocatalysts for electrochemical oxidation of HMF,a detailed discussion of the structural modulation of catalyst and the underlying catalytic mechanism is still *** herein provide a comprehensive summary of the recent development of electrochemical oxidation of HMF to FDCA,particularly focusing on the mechanism studies as well as the advanced strategies developed to regulate the structure and optimize the performance of the electrocatalysts,including heterointerface construction,defect engineering,single-atom engineering,and in situ *** characterization techniques and theoretical calculation methods for mechanism and active site studies are elaborated,and challenges and future directions of electrochemical oxidation of HMF are also *** review will provide guidance for designing advanced catalysts and deepening the understanding of the reaction mechanism beneath electrochemical oxidation of HMF to FDCA.

Vector correlations study of the reaction N(~2D) + H_2(X^1Σ_g^+) →NH(a^1?) + H(~2S) with different collision energies and reagent vibration excitations

Vector correlations of the reaction N（2D）＋H2（X1∑g＋） NH（a1△）→ ＋ H（2S） are studied based on a recent DMBE- SEC PES for the first excited state ofNH2 [J. Phys. Chem. A 114 9644 （2010）] by using a quasi-classical trajectory method. The effects of collision energy and the reagent initial vibrational excitation on cross section and product polarization are investigated for v = 0-5 and j = 0 states in a wide collision energy range （10-50 kcal/mol）. The integral cross section could be increased by H2 vibration excitation remarkably based on the DMBE-SEC PES. The different phenomena of differential cross sections with different collision energies and reagent vibration excitations are explained. Particularly, the NH molecules are scattered mainly in the backward hemisphere at low vibration quantum number and evolve from backward to forward direction with increasing vibration quantum number, which could be explained by the fact that the vibrational excitation enlarges the H-H distance in the entrance channel, thus enhancing the probability of collision between N atom and H atom. A further study on product polarization demonstrates that the collision energy and vibrational excitation of the reagent remarkably influence the distributions of P（Or）, P（（Pr）, and P（Or, （Pr）.

Upcycling of polyphenylene oxide into 2,6-dimethyl aniline via depolymerization and amination over a Pt/CeO_(2) catalyst

Upcycling of plastic waste into N-containing compound is a novel and attractive strategy for its disposal and will opens up a promising direction for the production of value-added ***,an efficient strategy for the depolymerization-amination of polyphenylene oxide(PPO)into 2,6-dimethyl aniline is developed over a simple Pt/CeO_(2) *** C–O linkages of PPO can be selectively broken,producing 2,6-dimethyl phenol and then hydrogenated and aminated to 2,6-dimethyl cyclohexylamine over the Pt/CeO_(2) ***,2,6-dimethyl aniline was produced with high selectivity through the dehydrogenation of 2,6-dimethyl cyclohexylamine in the same *** can be used as the hydrogen-acceptor in the dehydrogenation step and enhance the selectivity of target *** N-containing compound,2,6-dimethyl aniline,is obtained and separated after HCl ***,the Pt/CeO_(2) catalyst exhibit remarkable stability and can sustainably catalyze the synthesis of 2,6-dimethyl aniline in several cycles.

Deciphering the role of ultra-low-loaded rhodium in NiFe-MIL-53 for superior oxygen evolution reaction

Designing highly active and stable electrocatalysts of oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is one of the crucial *** this study,a novel OER electrocatalyst,NiFe-MIL-53 modified with ultra-low rhodium(Rh@NiFe-MIL-53),is successfully prepared via the hydrothermal ***-situ Raman spectroscopy and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy reveal that the doped Rh accelerates the phase transformation of NiFe-MIL-53 and the in-situ formed Rh@NiFeOOH is the actual active *** importantly,the enhanced reversibility of electrochemical reconstruction between NiFeOOH and NiFe(OH)_(2)after doping Rh is beneficial for improving the electrochemical stability of the catalyst.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy spectra show the strong electronic interaction between single-atom Rh and Ni/Fe in Rh@***,theoretical calculations confirm that the integration of single-atom Rh into the NiFeOOH successfully reduces the band gap,regulates the d-band center(εd),accelerates the charge transfer,and optimizes the adsorption behavior of oxygen-containing intermediates,thereby lowering the energy barrier of rate-determining ***,the optimized Rh@NiFe-MIL-53 exhibits excellent OER activity(240 mV)with a small Tafel slope of 48.2 mV dec^(-1)and long-term durability(over1270 h at 10 m A cm^(-2)and 110 h at 200 mA cm^(-2)).This work presents a new perspective on designing highly efficient OER electrocatalysts.

Anomalous vertebral artery not passing through the transverse foramen of the atlas

Ssually the vertebral artery （VA） arises from the first part of the subclavian artery and enters the transverse foramen of the C-6 vertebra （first segment） and then ascends through the transverse foramen from C-6 to the atlas （second segment）. In its third segment, the artery emerges on the superior surface of the atlas and curves horizontally over the lateral and posterior surfaces of the superior articular process of C-1 and then passes medially in front of the posterior atlanto-occipital membrane. In its fourth segment, the artery pierces the dura mater and arachnoid between the occipital bone and atlas then enters the cranial cavity through the foramen magnum. To identify and preserve the VA is vital in the surgery of the craniaocervical and cervical region. However, the variations of the VA complicate the procedures of VA identification. It is valuable to know the course of VA preoperatively. Some anatomical variations of the VA occur due to its abnormal development process.

Virtual reality system for diagnosis and therapeutic planning of cerebral aneurysms

Background The virtual reality （VR） system can provide the neurosurgeon to intuitively interact with and manipulate the three dimensional （3-D） image similarly to manipulate a real *** was seldom reported that the system was used in diagnosis and treatment of cerebral *** study aimed to investigate the application of VR system in diagnosis and therapeutic planning of cerebral *** A total of 24 cases of cerebral aneurysms were enrolled in this study from 2006 to 2008, which diagnosed by 3-D digital subtraction angiography （3D-DSA） or VR-based computed tomography angiographies （CTA）.The VR system and 3D-DSA system were used to observe and measure aneurysms and the adjacent *** data of observation and measurements were compared between VR image and 3D-DSA *** the patients underwent surgical plan and simulated neurosurgical procedures in the VR *** There were 28 aneurysms detected in VR system and 3D-DSA *** VR system generated clear and vivid 3-D virtual images which clearly displayed the location and size of the aneurysms and their precise anatomical spatial relations to the parent arteries and *** location, size and shape of the aneurysms and their anatomical relationship with the adjacent vessels were similar between 3-D virtual image and 3D-DSA, but the spatial relationship between aneurysms and skull only been displayed by VR *** VR system also could simulate simple surgical procedures and surgical *** The VR system can provide a highly effective way to provide precise imaging details as same as 3D-DSA system and assist the diagnosis of cerebral aneurysms with virtual 3-D data based on *** significantly enhances the chosen therapeutic strategy of cerebral aneurysms.
