Acetylacetone effectively controlled the secondary metabolites of Microcystis aeruginosa under simulated sunlight irradiation

Inactivation of cyanobacterial cells and simultaneous control of secondary metabolites is of significant necessity for the treatment of cyanobacteria-laden ***(AcAc)has been reported a specific algicide to inactivate Microcystis aeruginosa(***)and an effective light activator to degrade *** study systematically investigated the photodegradation ability of AcAc under xenon(Xe)irradiation on the secondary metabolites of ***,mainly algal organic matter(AOM),especially toxic microcystin-LR(MC-LR).Results showed that AcAc outperformed H_(2)O_(2)in destructing the protein-like substances,humic acid-like matters,aromatic proteins and fulvic-like substances of *** MC-LR(250μg/L),0.05 mmol/L AcAc attained the same degradation efficiency(87.0%)as 0.1mmol/L H_(2)O_(2).The degradation mechanism of Xe/AcAc might involve photo-induced energy/electron transfer and formation of carbon center *** conditions(pH>9.0)were detrimental to the photoactivity of AcAc,corresponding to the observed degradation rate constant(k_(1)value)of MC-LR drastically decreasing to 0.0013 min^(-1)as solution pH exceeded *** PO_(4)^(3-)and HCO_(3)^(-)ions had obvious inhibition effects,whereas NO_(3)^(-)slightly improved k_(1)value from 0.0277 min^(-1)to 0.0321 min^(-1).The presence of AOM did not significantly inhibit MC-LR degradation in Xe/AcAc *** addition,the biological toxicity of MC-LR was greatly reduced after *** results demonstrated that AcAc was an alternative algicidal agent to effectively inactivate algal cells and simultaneously control the secondary metabolites after cell ***,the concentration and irradiation conditions should be further optimized in practical application.

How to achieve synergistic improvement of permittivity（εr） and breakdown strength（Eb） is a huge challenge for polymer ***,for the first time,the π-conjugated comonomer（MHT） can simultaneously promote theεrand Ebof linear poly（methyl methacrylate）(PMMA) *** PMMA-based random copolymer films(P（MMA-co-MHT）),block copolymer films（PMMA-b-PMHT）,and PMMA-based blend films were prepared to investigate the effects of sequential structure,phase separation structure,and modification method on dielectric and energy storage properties of PMMA-based dielectric *** a result,the random copolymer P（MMA-coMHT） can achieve a maximum εrof 5.8 at 1 kHz owing to the enhanced orientation polarization and electron *** electron injection and charge transfer are limited by the strong electrostatic attraction ofπ-conjugated benzophenanthrene group analyzed by the density functional theory（DFT）,the discharge energy density value of P（MMA-co-PMHT）containing 1 mol% MHT units with the efficiency of 80% reaches15.00 J cm-3at 872 MV m-1,which is 165% higher than that of pure *** study provides a simple and effective way to fabricate the high performance of polymer dielectrics via copolymerization with the monomer of P-type semi-conductive polymer.

Maximizing conditional independence for unsupervised domain adaptation

unsupervised domain adaptation(UDA) studies how to transfer a learner from a labeled source domain to an unlabeled target domain with different distributions. Existing methods mainly focus on matching marginal distributions of the source and target domains, which probably leads to a misalignment of samples from the same class but different domains. In this paper, we tackle this misalignment issue by achieving the class-conditioned transferring from a new perspective. Specifically, we propose a method named maximizing conditional independence(MCI) for UDA, which maximizes the conditional independence of feature and domain given class in the reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces. The optimization of conditional independence can be viewed as a surrogate for minimizing class-wise mutual information between feature and domain. An interpretable empirical estimation of the conditional dependence measure is deduced and connected with the unconditional case. Besides, we provide an upper bound on the target error by taking the class-conditional distribution into account, which provides a new theoretical insight for class-conditioned transferring. Extensive experiments on six benchmark datasets and various ablation studies validate the effectiveness of the proposed model in dealing with UDA.

Objective To systematically summarize the published literature on the genetic variants associated with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Methods Literature from Web of Science,PubMed,and Embase between January 1980 and September 2022 was systematically ***-analyses of the genetic variants were conducted using at least five data *** epidemiologic credibility of the significant associations was graded using the Venice *** Based on literature screening,399 eligible studies were included,comprising 381 candidate gene association,16 genome-wide association,and 2 whole-exome sequencing *** identified 465 genetic variants in 173 genes in candidate gene association studies,and 25 genetic variants in 17 genes were included in the *** meta-analysis identified 11 variants in 10 genes that were significantly associated with NAFLD,with cumulative epidemiological evidence of an association graded as strong for two variants in two genes(HFE,TNF),moderate for four variants in three genes(TM6SF2,GCKR,and ADIPOQ),and weak for five variants in five genes(MBOAT7,PEMT,PNPLA3,LEPR,and MTHFR).Conclusion This study identified six variants in five genes that had moderate to strong evidence of an association with NAFLD,which may help understand the genetic architecture of NAFLD risk.
