In order to investigate the feasibility of sequential removal NO and SO2 using non-thermal plasma and adsorbent simultaneously, the removal of NO and SO2 from dry gas stream （NO/SO2/N2/O2） with very little O2 using non-thermal plasma was investigated using a coaxial dielectric barrier discharge. Comparative experiments were carried out in the dry gas stream with and without Ar respectively at O2 concentration of 0.1%. The results showed that NO could be removed remarkably and it would be enhanced in the presence of Ar in the dry gas stream. It seems that SO2 could not be removed unless there is Ar in the dry gas stream. The mechanism of removal of NO and SO2 in the dry gas stream was discussed.

Organic matter(OM)derived from the decomposition of crop residues plays a key role as a sorbent for cadmium(Cd)*** studies have explored the straw decomposition processes with the presence of minerals,and the effect of newly generated organomineral complexes on heavy metal *** this study,we investigated the variations in structure and composition during the rice straw decomposition with or without minerals(goethite and kaolinite),as well as the adsorption behavior and mechanisms by which straw decomposition affects Cd *** degree of humification of extracted straw organic matter was assessed using excitation-emission matrix(EEM)fluorescence and Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy(UV-vis),while employing FTIR spectroscopy and XPS to characterize the adsorption *** spectra analysis revealed the enrichment of highly aromatic and hydrophobic components,indicating that the degree of straw decomposition and humification were further intensified during ***,the existence of goethite(SG)accelerated the humification of *** experiments revealed that the straw humification increased Cd adsorption ***,SG exhibited significantly higher adsorption performance compared to the organic matter without minerals(RS)and the existence of kaolinite(SK).Further analysis using FT-IR spectroscopy and XPS verified that the primarymechanisms involved in Cd immobilization were complexion with—OH and—COOH,as well as the formation of Cd-πbinds with aromatic C=C on the surface of solid *** findings will facilitate understanding the interactions of the rice straw decomposing with soil minerals and its remediation effect on Cd-contaminated farmland.

In the context of peaking carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality,development of feasible methods for converting CO_(2)into high value-added chemicals stands out as a hot *** this study,P[D+COO^(−)][Br^(−)][DBUH^(+)],a series of novel heterogeneous dual-ionic poly(ionic liquid)s(PILs)were synthesized readily from 2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate(DMAEMA),bromo-substituted aliphatic acids,organic bases and divinylbenzene(DVB).The structures,compositions and morphologies were characterized or determined by nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR),thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA),infrared spectroscopy(IR),scanning electron microscopes(SEM),and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller analysis(BET),*** of the P[D+COO^(−)][Br^(−)][DBUH^(+)]series as catalysts in converting CO_(2)into cyclic carbonates showed that P[D+COO^(−)][Br^(−)][DBUH^(+)]-2/1/0.6was able to catalyze epiclorohydrin-CO_(2)cycloaddition the most *** afforded chloropropylene carbonate(CPC)in 98.4%yield with≥99%selectivity in 24 hr under solvent-and additive-free conditions at atmospheric *** experiments showed that recycling of the catalyst 6 times only resulted in a slight decline in the catalytic *** addition,it could be used for the synthesis of a variety of differently substituted cyclic carbonates in good to excellent ***,key catalytic active sites were probed,and a reasonable mechanism was proposed *** summary,this work poses an efficient strategy for heterogenization of dual-ionic PILs and provides amild and environmentally benign approach to the fixation and utilization of carbon dioxide.

AIM:To investigate the influence of postoperative intraocular lens(IOL)positions on the accuracy of cataract surgery and examine the predictive factors of postoperative biometry prediction errors using the Barrett Universal II(BUII)IOL formula for ***:The prospective study included patients who had undergone cataract surgery performed by a single surgeon from June 2020 to April *** collected data included the best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),corneal curvature,preoperative and postoperative central anterior chamber depths(ACD),axial length(AXL),IOL power,and refractive *** formula was used to calculate the IOL *** mean absolute error(MAE)was calculated,and all the participants were divided into two groups *** t-tests were applied to compare the variables between *** regression analysis was used to analyze the influence of age,AXL,corneal curvature,and preoperative and postoperative ACD on ***:A total of 261 patients were *** 243(93.1%)and 18(6.9%)had postoperative MAE1 D,*** number of females was higher in patients with MAE>1 D(χ^(2)=3.833,P=0.039).The postoperative BCVA(logMAR)of patients with MAE>1 D was significantly worse(t=-2.448;P=0.025).After adjusting for gender in the logistic model,the risk of postoperative refractive errors was higher in patients with a shallow postoperative anterior chamber[odds ratio=0.346;95% confidence interval(CI):0.164,0.730,P=0.005].CONCLUsiON:Risk factors for biometry prediction error after cataract surgery include the patient’s sex and postoperative *** with a shallow postoperative anterior chamber are prone to have refractive errors.

BACKGROUND Patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis suffering from esophagogastric variceal bleeding(EGVB)face high *** To investigate the risk factors for EGVB in patients with liver cirrhosis and establish a diagnostic *** Patients with liver cirrhosis who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into training and validation cohorts in a 6:4 ratio in this retrospective *** analysis,least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression,and multivariate analysis were employed to establish the nomogram *** curve,the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC),and decision curve analysis(DCA)were applied to assess the discrimination,accuracy,and clinical practicability of the nomogram,*** A total of 1115 patients were enrolled in this *** nomogram was established based on white blood cells(Psis index based on 4 factors,and aspartate aminotransferase-to-alanine aminotransferase ***,DCA indicated that the net benefit value of the model was higher than that of the other *** This research constructed and validated a nomogram with perfect performance for predicting EGVB events in patients with liver cirrhosis,which could help clinicians with timely diagnosis,individualized treatment,and follow-up.

Objective: Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC), a commonly encountered malignant tumor in the gastrointestinal tract, poses a significant health burden. Bufalin, a pharmacologically active molecule, has been shown to exhibit antitumor activity against various types of cancers. This study investigates the molecular mechanism underpinning the effects of bufalin on ESCCs. Materials and Methods: The impact of bufalin on the proliferation and migration of ESCC cells was evaluated through the utilization of the Cell Counting Kit-8(CCK-8), scratch assay, and transwell assay. In addition, ribonucleic acid(RNA) sequencing was performed to identify genes that were abnormally expressed in response to bufalin treatment. Western blotting was utilized to ascertain the expression levels of protein arginine methyltransferase-6(PRMT6), phosphorylated AKT(p-AKT), and phosphorylated mammalian target of rapamycin(p-m TOR). Cell transfection was then performed to observe the rescue effect of PRMT6 on bufalin. Results: Bufalin displayed a significant time-dependent inhibition of the proliferation, migration, and invasion of ECA109 cells. An RNA sequencing(RNA-seq) analysis revealed that PRMT6 expression was downregulated in the cells treated with bufalin. PRMT6 promoted the proliferation, migration, and invasive potential of ECA109 cells. The overexpression of PRMT6 boosted p-AKT and p-m TOR levels in ECA109 cells and reversed bufalin inhibition. Conclusions: These findings indicate that bufalin exerts its inhibitory effects on ESCCs through the PRMT6/AKT/m TOR signaling pathway. These findings lay the groundwork for bufalin as a promising therapeutic candidate for the treatment of ESCC.

This study describes the use of the weighted multiplicative algebraic reconstruction technique(WMART)to obtain vertical ozone profiles from limb observations performed by the scanning imaging absorption spectrometer for atmospheric chartography(SCIAMACHY).This technique is based on SaskMART(the combination of the multiplicative algebraic reconstruction technique and SaskTRAN radiative transfer model),which was originally developed for optical spectrometer and infrared imaging system(OsiRIS)*** of the objectives of this study was to obtain consistent ozone profiles from the two *** this study,the WMART algorithm is combined with a radiative transfer model(SCIATRAN),as well as a set of measurement vectors comprising five Hartley pairing vectors(HPVs)and one Chappuis triplet vector(CTV),to retrieve ozone profiles in the altitude range of 10–69 *** that the weighting factors in WMART have a significant effect on the retrievals,we propose a novel approach to calculate the pair/triplet weighting factors using wavelength weighting *** results of the application of the proposed ozone retrieval scheme are compared with the SCIAMACHY v3.5 ozone product by University of Bremen and validated against profiles derived from other passive satellite observations or measured by *** 18 and 55 km,the retrieved ozone profiles typically agree with data from the SCIAMACHY ozone product within 5%for tropics and middle latitudes,whereas a negative deviation exists between 35 and 50 km for northern high latitudes,with a deviation of less than 10%above 50 *** of the retrieved profiles with microwave limb sounder(MLS)v5.0 indicates that the difference is within±5%between 18 and 55 km,and an agreement within 10%is achieved in other altitudes for tropics and middle *** of the retrieved profiles with OsiRIS v7.1 indicates that the average deviation is within±5%between 20 and 59 km,and difference of approximately 10%is

Potassium ions(K^(+))doped graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))was prepared by a thermal etching method using potassium hydroxide(KOH)as an ion *** transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)results showed that the generation of the cyano group was detected while introducing K^(+).Under simulated sunlight irradiation,the sample with a K^(+)doping amount of 10%showed the highest hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))generation rate of2,140.2μmol h^(-1)g^(-1).The apparent quantum yield(AQY)at 400 nm and the solar-to-chemical conversion(SCC)are 4.35%and1.23%,respectively.K^(+)acted as a bridge between g-C_(3)N_(4)layers,which enhanced charge transfer ***,the cyano group enhanced the adsorption capacity of protons(H^(+))and promoted the yield of H_(2)O_(2).The catalyst exhibited excellent photocatalytic stability based on four-cycle *** addition,a mechanism study showed that superoxide radicals(·O_(2)^(-))were the most important active species in the reaction *** production of H_(2)O_(2)was achieved through consecutive single-electron *** study deepens the understanding of the oxygen reduction reaction process and opens up a new venue for improving H_(2)O_(2)generation.
