Quantum walks(QW) are the quantum counterpart of classical random walks, and portray a natural stochastic process when the walker randomly wanders around. In a discretetime QW system on a circle, when the walker particle generally steps towards two directions, i.e., clockwise and anticlockwise, this kind of QW is called two-direction quantum walks on a circle(TDQWC); and the walker particle always steps towards one direction or stays stationary, this kind of QW is called as one-direction quantum walks on a circle(ODQWC). ODQWC exhibits some different properties,and may induce potential applications in the field of quantum secure multi-party computation.

Polymeric microwave actuators combining tissue-like softness with programmablemicrowave-responsive deformation hold great promise for mobile intelligentdevices and bionic soft robots. However, their application is challenged by restricted electromagneticsensitivity and intricate sensing coupling. In this study, a sensitized polymericmicrowave actuator is fabricated by hybridizing a liquid crystal polymer with Ti3C2Tx(MXene). Compared to the initial counterpart, the hybrid polymer exhibits unique spacechargepolarization and interfacial polarization, resulting in significant improvements of230% in the dielectric loss factor and 830% in the apparent efficiency of electromagneticenergy harvest. The sensitized microwave actuation demonstrates as the shortenedresponse time of nearly 10 s, which is merely 13% of that for the initial shape memory polymer. Moreover, the ultra-low content of MXene (upto 0.15 wt%) benefits for maintaining the actuation potential of the hybrid polymer. An innovative self-powered sensing prototype that combinesdriving and piezoelectric polymers is developed, which generates real-time electric potential feedback (open-circuit potential of ~ 3 mV) duringactuation. The polarization-dominant energy conversion mechanism observed in the MXene-polymer hybrid structure furnishes a new approachfor developing efficient electromagnetic dissipative structures and shows potential for advancing polymeric electromagnetic intelligent devices.

Controlling segregation and hardenability of gear steel based on as-cast structure

Hardenability significantly impacts the distortion of gear during heat treatment,correlated to the uniformity of solute distribution in steel *** experimental analysis was conducted on the macrostructure,solute distribution,dendrite structure,and rod hardenability of 20CrMnTiH gear steel in continuously cast blooms and hot roller *** evaluation approach by the standards for the hardenability of gear steel rods and the corresponding blooms was analyzed,and the inheritance mechanism from solidification segregation to hardenability fluctuation of gear steel was *** results indicate that semi-macroscopic spot segregation located in the equiaxed zone exhibits larger size,higher solute enrichment,and worse solute homogeneity,leading to significant solute fluctuations in the blooms and hardenability fluctuation in the *** increasing the liquid steel superheat from 35 to 40℃,reducing the mold electromagnetic stirring from 300 to 100 A,and implementing the soft reduction(SR)of 7 mm at the solidification end,the equiaxed ratio of the strand decreased from 26.42%to 6.69%.Consequently,the solute fluctuation range and standard deviation decrease significantly in the transverse section,while the maximum segregation ratio,average fluctuation range,and average standard deviation of solutes C,Cr,and Mn in the spot segregation decrease at the same *** the meanwhile,the equiaxed ratio of the rod decreased from 24.89%to 4.09%,and the structure of the hardenability detection zone was transformed from equiaxed crystals to columnar ***,the solute fluctuation range and standard deviation in the transverse section decreased,while the homogeneity in spot segregation was also *** hardness difference of A and B surfaces at J9 and J15 positions was smaller than 2 HRC,meeting the qualification standard for hardenability.

BACKGROUND The liver is the most common site of digestive system tumor metastasis,but not all liver metastases can be traced back to the primary *** it is unusual,syphilis can impact the liver,manifesting as syphilitic hepatitis with inflammatory nodules,which might be misdiagnosed as *** SUMMARY This case report involves a 46-year-old female who developed right upper abdominal pain and intermittent low fever that persisted for more than three *** definitive diagnosis of a tumor had been made in the past decades,but signs of multiple liver metastases were recognized after a computed tomo-graphy scan without evidence of primary *** positive serological tests for syphilis and a biopsy of the liver nodules,a diagnosis of hepatic syphilis was made and confirmed with follow-up nodule reduction after anti-syphilis *** Clinicians must be aware of the possibility that syphilis can cause hepatic inflam-matory masses,especially when liver metastasis is suspected without evidence of primary lesions.A definitive diagnosis should be established in conjunction with a review of the patient’s medical history for accurate therapeutic intervention.

Evaluation of surface latent heat and sensible heat fluxes from ERA-5,GLDAS,and MODIS on different underlying surfaces in the Tibetan Plateau

Surface-latent heat(LE)and sensible heat(SH)fluxes play a pivotal role in governing hydrological,biological,geochemical,and ecological processes on the land surface in the Tibetan ***,to accurately assess and understand the spatial distribution of LE and SH fluxes across different underlying surfaces,it is crucial to verify the validity and reliability of ERA-5,GLDAS,and MODIS data against ground measurements obtained from the Flux Net micrometeorological tower *** study analyzed the spatial patterns of LE and SH over the Tibetan Plateau using data from ERA-5,GLDAS,and *** results were compared with ground measurements from Flux Net tower observations on different underlying surfaces,and five statistical parameters(Pearson's r,LR slope,RMSE,MBE,and MAE)were used to validate the *** results showed that:(1)MODIS LE data and ERA-5 SH data exhibited the closest agreement with ground observations,as indicated by their lowest root mean square error and mean bias area values.(2)The accuracy of ERA-5 SH was the highest in meadows and steppes,while GLDAS SH performed optimally in ***,MODIS LE consistently outperformed the other datasets across all vegetation types.(3)The spatial distribution of LE and SH displayed considerable heterogeneity,contingent upon the specific data sources and underlying ***,there was a contrasting trend between GLDAS and ERA-5,as well as MODIS,in terms of SH distribution in the *** shrublands and meadows,MODIS SH and LE exhibited more pronounced changes than ERA-5 and ***,ERA-5 SH demonstrated the opposite variation in meadow and steppe regions compared to GLDAS and MODIS.

Amyloid-beta clearance plays a key role in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease.H oweve r,the variation in functional proteins involved in amyloid-beta clearance and their correlation with amyloid-beta levels remain unclea *** this study,we conducted meta-analyses and a systematic review using studies from the PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,and Cochrane Library databases,including journal articles published from inception to J une 30,*** inclusion criteria included studies comparing the levels of functional proteins associated with amyloid-beta clearance in the blood,cere b rospinal fluid,and brain of healthy controls,patients with mild cognitive impairment,and patients with Alzheimer's ***,we analyzed the correlation between these functional proteins and amyloid-beta levels in patients with Alzheimer's *** methodological quality of the studies was assessed via the Newcastle-Ottawa *** to heterogeneity,we utilized either a fixed-effect or random-effect model to assess the 95%confidence interval(CI)of the standard mean difference(SMD)among healthy controls,patients with mild cognitive impairment,and patients with Alzheimer's *** findings revealed significant alterations in the levels of insulin-degrading enzymes,neprilysin,matrix metalloproteinase-9,cathepsin D,receptor for advanced glycation end products,and P-glycoprotein in the brains of patients with Alzheimer's disease,patients with mild cognitive impairment,and healthy *** cerebrospinal fluid,the levels of triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2 and ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L1 are altered,whereas the levels of TREM2,CD40,CD40L,CD14,CD22,cathepsin D,cystatin C,andα2 M in peripheral blood ***,TREM2 and cathepsin D showed changes in both brain(SMD=0.31,95%CI:0.16-0.47,P<0.001,I^(2)=78.4%;SMD=1.24,95%CI:0.01-2.48,P=0.048,I^(2)=90.1%)and peripheral blood(SMD=1.01,95%CI:0.35-1.66,P=0.003,I^(2)=96.5%;SMD=7.55,95%CI:3.92-11.18,P<0.001,I^(

To monitor nuclear and radiation emergencies,it is crucial to obtain accurate in situ measurements of the environmentalγ radiation dose rate from key radionuclides,particularly for large radioactive surface *** methods currently used for measuring dose rates are inadequate for obtaining the dose rates of key radionuclides and have large angular response errors when monitoring surface *** address this practical problem,this study proposes three methods for measuring the dose rate:the weighted peak total ratio,mean value regression,and numerical integration *** methods are based on energy-spectrum measurement data,and they were theoretically derived and numerically ***,a 1-m-long hexagonal radioactive surface source was integrated into a larger surface *** situ measurement experiments were conducted on a large radioactive surface source using a dose-rate meter and a portable HPGespectrometer to analyze the errors of the three aforementioned methods and verify their validity.
