Energy efficiency and economic viability are the often-quoted issues in aquaponic *** work aims to(i)identify process technologies and technical measures which would enhance the profitability of aquaponics business while conserving energy and other resources,and(ii)to validate the determined optimal measures on the testing aquaponics *** process network synthesis technique was used to search for an optimal process pathway while the image processing technique was applied to automatically monitor the growth rate of produce since it is the main revenue stream in *** the aid of P-graph method,the optimal feasible structure has 9 times higher annual net income than that of the existing *** optimal solution includes the integration of electrical heat pump,biogas system,and utilizes black solider fly(BSF)facility to produce fish *** light energy savings were achieved by practical installation of reflective foils which improved 16.88%of Photosynthetic photon flux density(PPFD)on growth *** measures can help the aquaponics farms to become more competitive and to decrease their ecological footprint.

Long span of megalithic culture development in Indonesia can be seen from its materials remain. It does appear on the sacred and on the profane form. The aim of this article is trying to describe about the megalithic visualization. Some of megalithic aspects such as shape, size, and its material had been applied. megalithic culture in Indonesia is generally found on small size, while the large size is only found in certain locations. It can be concluded the visualization of megalithic culture in Indonesia is no longer in accordance with its etymology as cultural that uses large stone, because small stone and wood are also used as source.

AIm:To evaluate the relationship between vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),p53,and the H-ras oncogene and different clinicopathological parameters in Egyptian patients with Schistosoma-associated transitional cell carcinoma of the ***:The study included 50 patients with transitional cell carcinoma for whom radical cystectomy and urinary diversions were carried *** and p53 protein expressions were evaluated with an immunohistochemical staining method,and H-ras oncogene mutations were analyzed with a polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP) ***:High grade tumors revealed higher p53 immunostaining than low grade tumors(P = 0.016).p53 and VEGF protein expressions,as well as H-ras oncogene mutations,had an insignificant impact on patient outcomes(P = 0.962,P = 0.791,and P = 967,respectively).Cancer extension to regional lymph nodes was associated with poor outcomes(P = 0.008).CONCLUSION:VEGF,p53 and the H-ras oncogene have no relation to patient survival and outcome in Schistosoma-associated transitional cell carcinoma.

The visible-light-driven photocatalytic CO2 reduction with high efficiency is highly desirable but ***,we present porphyrin-tetraphenylethene-based covalent organic frameworks(mP-TPE-COF,where m=H2,Co and Ni;TPE=4,4′,4″,4?-(ethane-1,1,2,2-tetrayl)tetrabenzaldehyde;COF=covalent organic framework)as ideal platforms for understanding photocatalytic CO2 reduction at molecular *** and theoretical investigations have demonstrated crucial roles of metalloporphyrin units in selective adsorption,activation and conversion of CO2 as well as in the separation of charge carriers and electron transfer,thus allowing for flexible modulation of photocatalytic activity and *** P-TPE-COF exhibits high CO evolution rate of 2,414μmol g-^1 h^-1 with the selectivity of 61%over H2 generation under visible-light irradiation,while Ni P-TPE-COF provides CO evolution rate of 525μmol g^-1 h^-1 and 93%selectivity with superior ***,the photocatalytic system is feasible for the simulated flue gas,which provides CO evolution rate of 386μmol g-1 h-1 and selectivity of 77%.This work provides in-depth insight into the structure-activity relationships toward the activation and photoreduction of CO2.

Sustainability Assessment for Wastewater Treatment Systems—Case Studies in Egypt

Low sanitation coverage is a significant problem in Egypt, especially in rural areas. The Rapid Sustainability Screening (RSS) model was developed to assess the sustainability of wastewater treatment systems (WWTS), both planned and existing, and support decision-makers in selecting alternatives. The model considers the three fundamental sustainability dimensions, namely, environmental, social, and economic. In the present paper, the model was successfully tested by evaluating the sustainability performance of three operating rural WWTS in Egypt (Constructed Wetland (CW)-BeniSuef, Constructed Wetland (CW)-Dakahlia, and Activated Sludge (AS)-Gharbia). CW-BeniSuef was the most sustainable system based upon environmental and social considerations with values of 2.50 and 2.71, respectively. On the other hand, CW-Dakahlia is the most economically sustainable system, with a value of 2.25. The highest sustainability overall ranking system was CW-BeniSuef with overall sustainability of 2.81, followed by CW-Dakahlia with a value of 2.18, and the least sustainable technology is AS-Gharbia (1.72). The RSS model can support the decision-makers and operators during the different phases of a wastewater treatment project development (e.g., feasibility, operation). The model has been developed in a user-friendly and straightforward manner. The simplicity of the model may encourage the decision-makers and EIA practitioners to expand the assessment to consider sustainability rather than focusing on one or two aspects only (m>i.e.m>, environment and society) in isolation of the possible interaction between them.

Wallemia comprises air-and food-borne,mycotoxigenic contaminants including the halophilic ***,xerotolerant *** and xerophilic *** isolates are easily overlooked and only a comparably small number of strains have been deposited in culture collections so *** order to better understand the natural distribution of Wallemia *** to encounter their natural habitats,we tested more than 300 low-water-activity substrates and 30 air samples from a wide geographical *** isolated more than 150 new Wallemia *** sebi and *** were isolated mostly from hypersaline water,low-water-activity foods,plant materials and *** muriae is the dominant Wallemia species in the air of natural and human influenced environments in *** isolates of *** were obtained from hypersaline environments such as brine,salt crystals,salty foods and mgCl_(2)-rich bitterns,and from the air of hay barns in *** halotolerant strains were recognised as a hitherto un-described species Wallemia hederae,the phylogenetic sister of the halophilic *** *** in-vitro growth on media that contain the chaotropic salt mgCl_(2).Wallemia ichthyophaga can grow in liquid medium enriched with 2 m mgCl_(2).Never before has a microorganism been grown on comparably high mgCl_(2) *** of the activity of a wide range of extracellular enzymes in the presence of NaCl also suggested that Wallemia iswell-adapted to substrates with a reduced water activity.

This study highlights introducing the rare earth metal cerium(Ce(Ⅳ))into the structure of magnetite(Fe_(3)O_(4))to achieve enhanced adsorptive properties for the removal of chromium(Cr(VI))from an aqueous *** ratios of Ce(Ⅳ)were introduced into the iron oxide matrix,termed FeCe-5,FeCe-10,and *** numerical values correspond to the nominal content of the dopant element added to the synthesis *** solid materials were characterized for morphology and chemical structure,and N_(2)physical adsorption/desorption measurements were *** solid materials doped with Ce(IV)have a high surface area compared to Fe_(3)O_(4),and the solid material with the highest content of the dopant ion(Ce(IV))has a 4-fold greater surface *** increase in the dopant content in the iron oxide structure leads to a total chromium removal of 93.3%.Isotherms studies on the solid materials show that chromium adsorption follows the Langmuir *** adsorption capacity to Fe_(3)O_(4)is 12.59 mg/g and FeCe-10 is 22.49 mg/g at 35℃.By fitting the kinetic and isothermal models,it is found that for the Fe_(3)O_(4)and FeCe-10 materials Cr(VI)removal occurs in very different ways,attributed to the different surface areas and compositions of the oxide,with the formation of the goethite(α-FeOOH)*** FeCe-10reuse process was performed and the removal capacity the Cr(VI)is reduced after the first *** result is attributed to a strong and irreversible adsorption of Cr(VI)on the FeCe-10.

Density Effects on Plant Height Growth and Inequality in Sunflower Populations

Comparisons between competing and non-competing sunflower （Helianthus annuus L.） populations demonstrate pronounced effects of density on plant height growth, height-to-crown width ratio, and s popuiaUon＇s height inequality. In the present study, non-destructive measurements of height and the prolected crown area of sunflower plants were taken at seven times from emergence to fruit maturation in even-aged monospeclflc stands with initial densities of 1, 4, 16, and 64 plants/m^2. The mean height of populations Increased and then decreased with increasing population density; the height Inequalities of uncrowded populations decreased during stand growth, whereas the height inequaiiUes of crowded popuisUons decreased first and then increased during stand development. The interindlvidual relationships between the relative height growth rate and height within uncrowded populations became significantly negative during population growth, whereas these relationships were negative first and then became positive during the development of crowded populations. In the uncrowded populations, the static Interindlvldual relationship between height-to-crown width ratio and volume was positive, whereas for the crowded population these relationships became negative with increasing competition for light. The data suggest that the plastic responses of plant height and height-to-crown width ratio to light competition will become more Intense with increasing competition Intensity. The results of the present study argue strongly for the Importance of size-dependent Individual-level plastic responses due to size-asymmetric light competition In generating the variations in population height inequality.
